Resource Guarding Lab “Pearl” | 2 Week Board & Training | Behavioral Modification

5 year old Labrador Retriever Pearl came into training due to some serious behavioral issues at home. Pearl was a pushy girl who would bully her dog brother, resource guard her food, toys, beds, and furniture, and had a stubborn mind. This ultimately led to her landing a bite on one of the family members over resource guarding. She needed a lifestyle change!
During her two week program, Pearl worked with her trainer Claire on implementing structure into her daily routine. She built a strong foundation in obedience which unlocked new and appropriate behaviors. Through this, we were able to help Pearl work through her resource guarding habits, and learn how to respond to direction; giving her owners way more control and ease of mind. Pearl shined with training and worked through her program beautifully! Great job Claire and Pearl!
