I love Allure so much❤❤❤ I used the Edt and hair mist in the 90's and '00 and now i use the Edp. Its so beautiful and cosy to me. I am getting ready for bed and you reminded me to use it💖 Even reformulated its still Allure and still takes me back to the 90's
I’m pretty sure you were the one who reminded me of it, mentioning it under a video!🙂 I remember smelling Allure on an elegant woman in the mid 00s. It took me three days of wearing it to finally make the connection. I’m pretty sure this was that scent. It’s so elegant! And as you said, cosy and soft.❤️
@@lukeparfums It might of been me indeed because its my second favourite Chanel. The love of my life ofcourse being No. 5. Allure is elegance in a bottle. I just wish it lasted longer on me like it used to. Just like what happened to Organza and Poeme, its a bit fresher somehow instead of a beautiful 90's cloying/heady perfume🤣
Second favourite? Wow!🙂 I also find that all of the fragrances you mentioned are slightly fresher in their newer formulations but I think that they get richer if you let them sit. I had my Organza for two years, it kept getting darker and stronger. I just ordered a new one. I hope it won’t be too watered down.🙂
@@lukeparfums Yes second favourite because i'm a bit bias towards my 90's perfumes 😂😂😂 I would always pick something i wore in that time over any perfume, even if its better 😂😂😂. People trash current Organza and Poeme but i dont care, i still love them. I rather have these versions than none at all
Hi.Happy eclipse season.🌙🌎☀️ Im usually pretty frugal about fragrances(most things, really) but i dont mind dropping a few dollars on Allure. It’s beautiful and i dont use it for casual wear. This scent requires an occasion, imo, for when you want to appear polished and well put together.Happy Perfuming.
Hi, same to you! I absolutely agree. It’s a fragrance that feels put together and I wouldn’t wear it casually. I have other fragrances for that. Thanks for watching!🙂
Hello Luke, thank you so much for this review! You discribe Allure so well, soft, comforting and timeless. I love it so much. It's my go to scent for almost 20 years. Unfortunately it doesn't last 10 to 12 hours on my skin, but still love it. I own the edt, edp, hairmist and bodylotion. Love the hairmist!
Hi there! That’s amazing! I didn’t realise there were so many Allure fans among my subscribers.🙂 Chanel lotions are incredible, aren’t they? I have the Coco lotion and it’s almost as strong as the actual fragrance. Thanks for watching!🙂
I tried this in store because of a Portuguese lady with a channel who recommended it to me, it's pretty much her all time favourite I think! My first impression of it was ine if familiarity, I just thought to myself, who did I know who wore this?! Then it hit me, it's the smell of my godmother who is sadly no longer around. It was lovely to wear her fragrance and have that surprise and remember her. ❤
Hi Claire! That’s such a beautiful story. I wish that would happen to me one day when trying a new fragrance. I also found Allure strangely familiar when I tried it. I was very comfortable blind buying it because I knew it was a scent profile that I’d enjoy. Thanks for sharing this! It’s the sweetest story. There’s not many scents that can do that do you.🙂💕
Hi Luke, I am not a huge fan of this one, but adore Allure Sensuelle. I think there's a big difference between the two, and the name says it all. It is simply so sensual. Make a comparison for yourself, I'd like to know your thoughts.
Hi there, I haven’t smelt Allure Sensuelle in ages but I remember it being similar to Coco Mademoiselle. Could it be a cross between the two? I’ll definitely try it again so that I can compare them.🙂
Chanel Allure EDP is more versatile and elegant than Coco and Chance imho.. i would want to repurchase a new bottle. I do not like and repurchase Allure EDT bcoz it induces headache and sinus to me.
Hi there. I agree with you. I’m sorry to hear that the EdT is triggering headaches and sinus problems for you. The EdP is indeed versatile. Thanks for watching!🙂
What a beautiful and eloquent review! I love Allure, although I prefer the EDT with its fluffy peachy florals and the airy sillage it brings. Allure is one of the few Chanels that I enjoy. Aldehydes, while Chanel does them beautifully, are not really for me, and I don't sense them strongly in Allure EDT.
Thanks!🙂 You made me want to retry the EdT and test it more thoroughly. I don’t think the two are too different. There are no aldehydes in Allure EdP either. Thanks for watching!🙂
Allure is probably my all time favorite. I still have a very tiny bit of a bottle I received in 2006. Do perfumes of this high quality expire 😥 Someone told me they do not but I'm not sure they would know...
Hi there. In my experience, they don’t, but it really depends on the perfume. I have some bottles of Dior, Givenchy, and YSL perfumes from the 90s that are all still good. However; I had a bottle of Miss Dior Chérie from 2011 that was starting to turn so I had to use it up quickly. So, I’d say no if you store them correctly (no sunlight, heat or moisture).
I've never tried Allure - but I have Allure Sensuelle EDP - and although I'm not mad about patchouli - I love Sensuelle! I will have to get my nose on Allure EDP asap -
@@lukeparfums Absolutely! I'm always looking for authentic reviewers. UA-cam is all too saturated with perfomers selling themselves more than honestly reviewing - and with sellers looking to profit rather than honestly reviewing. Your channel is breath of fresh air!

Hi Luke, my fragrance friend.😊😁 Gee, I wonder what this perfume smells like??😂😂😂 Beautiful…that’s what….❤ I also love Amarige, Tresor and Organza, so it’s a perfect match for me! I haven’t tried Poeme. I agree with your comparisons to other Chanel fragrances. Allure is like them, quality wise, but unlike any of the others because of its uniqueness. Allure lasts longer than 8 hours. I don’t know exactly how long because I fell asleep wearing it!😂 Definitely a winner! You’re right about the Casmir comparison. I was somehow shocked, but pleased, to hear my name mentioned 😮😊 Thank you for another great video!!
Hi Leah, a fragrance friend and a friend too.🙂🤗 Allure is indeed beautiful. I’m awaiting another bottle of Organza in the mail; I’ve been without it for too long. Allure definitely has decent longevity. Well, I mentioned you because we both bought it at the same time after chatting about the different versions.🙂

I have both the EDP and the EDT. I am loving ❤the EDP. I bought the EDT from a seller. I’m still not 100% sure that it’s real. Everything seems to check out OK, except for the fact that the lettering is rubbing off. But I’ve seen people online showing their EDT with the same. Of course, I don’t know if those are real either . Does anybody have an answer to this?
