He was the best tin man capturing the essence of the character… he matched Michael’s energy and that says a lot.

"Don't turn the water on me, just let me burn!" 🔥🔥
Love this song. Nipsy Russell was perfect for this character.
R.I.P. Nipsey Russell (1918-2005) (The Tin Man) and Michael Jackson (1958-2009) (The Scarecrow).
And Ted Ross (1934-2022) (The Lion)
He died in 2002 not 2022. @@that_one_guy_you_walk_past

Diana Ross is the only cast member that’s alive in this movie 😢…… loved almost everyone in this movie, but I’m happy they in a better place and not struggling anymore…..
He has a good voice, movement was on point and he was 60 at the time

I love the metal pieces harmonizing. That’s my favorite part.
"Let me show you my Saturday night finish.
Oh music man let me hear that band.
Don't turn the water on me just let me burn and let me lubricate my mind."

@@pCOCKPRO11I'm 45 and decided to watch this a few days ago. I was just grinning the whole way thru😅
@joy-xw2xb it's a great film that gets overlooked. In hindsight they did a good job.
Gotta thank Quincy Jones for the production.
I turned 41 on July 18th lol
@@pCOCKPRO11 happy belated! I love the Wiz it's the singing for me. I love to sing
One of the best parts
Nipsey was a dancer. An entertainer ❤
My 1st Cousin Mr Nipsey Russell really Proud of that Brother🫡🫶
Love his voice! love this scene!
“Let me show you my Saturday night finish”
2023 translation: “hold my beer”.
2024 now, 😆
I saw this when I was a child.classic.
Nipsey hustle got his name here
Russle 😅
Nipsey did a good job as the Tin Man
That’s one of the best movies ever done and it didn’t get the respect recognition and praise that it should’ve gotten,💯💯💕💕
Another song with a great message in it. What would music be like without optimism truth in it. Wicked messages is so prevalent these days. We are truly blessed to receive positive messages and of course the feedback from everyone around 🇺🇸😇
Could you explain the great message to me? I think it's a great song, but I don't see any moral truth in it.

Same here bro, and I'm 35! Watching it tonight!

0:53 I'm beginning to feel just fine 😂😂😂
This scared me when i was little. I did not understand this scene nor the hookers/ red light district, but I guess they had to be drugged some kind of way
woah
Ikr dancing in a metal suit like this at 60 years old. Quite impressive
i love it
2024 anyone
Maybe I’m just a theatre geek but… the tin man has always seemed to be an alcoholic to me who numbs himself in order to “feel”. The lion resonates with the pressure of looking scary and strong ( the way black men are viewed) and the inability to be afraid. The scarecrow is a representation of the everyday black person. Things like Jim Crow, and the mindset of others can cause us to believe that we don’t “have a brain” because we don’t use our own. His ideologies from the beginning were only made from his surroundings. I could go forever but that would practically be a book😭
NIPSEY WAS GREAT, THE ORIGINAL IN THE WIZARD OF OZ, TIN MAN, COULDN'T TOUCH NIPSEY'S VERSION WITH A TEN FOOT POLE
I sure do miss ok ol Nip

Grooviest tin man
The lyrics aren't that good but I think the Wiz is more about the sets, costumes, and vibe. But for the most part this movie always failed with the songs.
Why does Dorothy have such a boring costume?
She was a school teacher.
I still prefer Jack Haley.
And yet you watched this video.., why not choose both?
Worst movie ever made… if not top 100
You’re probably part of gen alpha this movie is literally a legend
some rasist movie
How is it racist?
actually, no! it's a full black cast to celebrate black people and their absence from past media /because/ of racism.
Keep that same energy when watching The Wizard of Oz 1939 :/
You are rude, if you don't like it then don't comment
