    From a fellow concert pianist (I only do classical, but enjoy popular music), great job in arranging this classic piece that I love so much! Fantastic. Of course, your playing is dubbed and synched to track; nonetheless if you change the following things it could look more real, even to concert pianists and musicians:
    -at 2:06 the right hand plays an arpeggio that is not heard at all
    - at 2:24 the music starts with a slight delay of the actual playing (in the 5-10ms range)
    - at 1:46 the left hand hits E and we hear an F# - then 3 similar not-precise hits follow and the sound is very clean
    - at 1:27 the run from right to left hand (in thirds) is only played half, part of it is not played at all
    - at 1:04 the left hand is doubled one the octave below, but you only play in the video the upper part (one line only) this happens also many other times throughout the video
    There are other little things that I caught but less important (mostly imprecise hits and one octave doubling in the left hand). This is in addition of course of the added synth track, this only concerns the piano part.
    If you fix these things it'll look as if you were really playing it even to colleagues. Nonetheless the arranging is great. All the best

    First of all, you're incredibly talented, and the song is really well arranged (really nice taste). I was really amazed. But to be fair (and correct me if I'm wrong) I noticed a few harmonies in the music which are actually not being played on the piano. Such as the low frequencies at 1:39, the G major chord at 1:44, or that 16th rhythm pattern on the mid section at the "Bad" chorus (0:58 or 2:04). I don't want to be a troll here, don't get me wrong, I think you're an exceptional piano player, but is there any kind of piano post recorded harmonies on the song or maybe a second piano player in the room? I'm just curious, and congrats for the cover :)

      Fabio González The motion of the video is pretty weird. Like it's recorded slowly and sped up. It seems to lack interlacing frames as a result of being sped up and the camera movements are somewhat jerky and very unstable.

    • @MrSmashmasterk
      @MrSmashmasterk 9 років тому +14

      Fabio González YES, I as a piano player also notices this. There is no way the camera explains this.

      Fabio González I noticed this the first time I heard it too. At 00:37, there is some kind of wawa sound and at 1:25 you can hear echo or a second recording.

      Halldór Eldjárn However the thing is pretty playable, and I assume that some careful thinking (multiplied by above-average piano skills) can help rearrange this a bit to incorporate almost all these 'extra' sounds into the true piano only.

    • @ejsanch
      @ejsanch 9 років тому

      Halldór Eldjárn it's called progressive video. No one in their right mind shoots interlaced if it is going to be uploaded to UA-cam because computer displays cannot deinterlace.
