❗️Tornado/Severe Weather Awareness Mode: March 1 - May 31, 2024
Welcome to Weather Watcher! I’m 17 years old, and as my channel name implies, I love weather! Throughout my life, I’ve had many interests and hobbies, but none of them have stuck with me quite as long as meteorology.
It all started in 2021 when I created my UA-cam channel. At first, I didn’t really have a plan for what I would post; but it wasn’t long before I began creating forecasts. My weather forecasts and then eventual incorporation of livestreams helped my following grow steadily between late 2021 into 2023.
In early 2023, I finally started using my real voice to narrate my forecasts, which was a challenge for me personally… but it proved to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my channel. By October 2023, my channel underwent another major change… tracking European weather!
Thanks for reading this quick synopsis. Thanks for your ongoing support, everyone!

This is certainly your best work, described extensively and in detail, I appreciate your knowledge. Let's go in order, the polar vortex has had several collapses this winter, all should know that what wind maps in the polar vortex show is usually reflected in the troposphere within two weeks, it is a good guideline for the long-term forecast, only Scandinavia had a pronounced cooling, the rest of Europe did not experience a severe winter or a very short one. The Atlantic is already warmer than average and I expect an above-average season of tropical systems, higher temperatures mean more moisture for the development of storms that become stronger and more massive, and so is the inflow hot air is more pronounced, I expect a very rainy spring at the end of this month and the beginning of April, it will be the reaction of the polar vortex from a week ago. One anomaly attracts our attention and this is what happens in the polar vortex, its movement of cyclones and anticyclones is that they move retrograde which is not a normal case, we will have for the Balkans the return of high currents from the north moving back towards the west in next days,I'm talking about the polar vortex or altitudinal currents at 10 hpa, we will see the reaction during the first ten days of April, the writing took a long time, lol, all in all, we are facing a year of extremes, as for temperatures the ocean and the Mediterranean especially, we will have a very hot summer, it seems to me that Africa is approaching 🤔🙈⛈️🏜️🌡️🔥⚡🌀😂
Thank you so much!! Once again, I also enjoy reading your insight as well. Thanks for taking the time to write your comment 🙂 Have a great day!
@@WeatherWatcher14 It's nice to see your enthusiasm for the weather, your presentations are realistic and you use several parameters that are necessary for forecasting the weather, your work is of high quality and I recommend it to everyone to follow You 🌀⚡🔥🌡️⛈️🌧️🌪️❄️☃️
"Shouldn't be taken as a prophecy'. I LOVE IT!!!
Nothing in weather is set in stone, so I wanted to make that as clear as possible… glad you liked it!! 😄
Very good with the new maps overview zoomed out, so also showing the whole of northern sweden, norway and finland, for march and april and may temperatures and precipitation. awesome! :) finally!
Glad to hear you like the new maps, thanks for watching! 😄
The focus on the nature of polar vortex and the sea surface temperature shows that this is a professional and well produced weather forecast with lots of knowledge and so much information. Thanx for sharing. 🌞
You’re welcome, glad you enjoyed!
I hope farmers will get a couple of days where the fields get to dry up so crops can be sown.
I haven't seen fields and forests this wet here in flanders in my entire life.
Last couple of years I have been worried about the constant droughts and now conditions look good for growing rice
Nice work WW! This video was incredible and very well put together!
Keep up the amazing work.
Thank you so much!! I appreciate your support! 🙂
No problem!
This is better 4casting than met office or bbc , 👌
Thank you!!
Definitely been wet down in The Algarve Region, and rain chances every day this week of March 25. Been extremely windy here too!
Loving your work as much as ever!
Graphics are clear, simple (ish!) and really informative.
Little is more complex than global scale weather predictions. So, thank you for the way you produce high quality and yet accessible weather data…
🙏🌞🌦️🌈
I’m really glad you like it!! Thanks for your support! 🙂
Well well well! Super informative. Other channels do not dare to provide long forecasts. Some split the radar in radar+forecast which I find a non sense. I really love this channel!!! It's what forecast means. 😀
Glad you enjoyed it!!
Thank you for your ever so clear forecast. Its much appreciated!
You’re very welcome!
Thanks for this video! Very informative, love watching your predictions!
You’re welcome, and I’m glad to hear it!
You have become my go to meteorologist!
I'm hoping for warmer spring weather. I want the trees turning green as soon as possible. 🌳Thanks for the forecast😊
You’re welcome! :)

As I shared months ago, Your narration voice is exceptionally understandable. And Weather Watcher content is without question the best presented information source for both the U.S. and Europe. The proof for this subscriber is in the usefulness Your postings have provided this past winter here in Western Europe. Compliments! ♾
Thank you so much, I appreciate it! 😄
thank you for your work and analysis of this complex science you transform it into plain english well done were us ordinary people can get a glimpse of the predicted future weather patterns i hope you continue with your hard work and effort
You’re very welcome, I’m glad it was easy to understand. Thanks for the kind words!
We will be into a very wild April with rain and heat but that also means thunderstorms may come earlier in the southern regions.
Excellent work. Greetings from Europe BE
Thank you, greetings!
Thanks for your updates. I’m in the Italian alps and it’s clear blue skies
You’re welcome, same here in Portugal!
Excellent presentation! Thanks.
You’re welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
Hi,
I will save this video in my 'watch later'-folder. Then, in early June, I'll watch it again, to see if you where right 😀😀😀
Great job!
Cheers!
Hello, sounds good!! Thank you :)
Very informative. Thanks.
You’re welcome!
Superb, keep them coming.👍👌😍🥰
Thank you, I definitely will!
Thanks W.W. An excellent round-up and great graphics. Hopefully some of that rain will reach the Alentejo!
You’re welcome, glad you liked it!
So good to see Portugal getting the rain they so needed. They were really dry for a while there and this must be welcome. We have definitely had the coolest and wettest march to date in my area of northern Italy. We are very benign and March has been warm and dry. We have just ceased a fortnight of cold and rain. Felt much like the uk for the entire period! I am just hoping that the temperature will be favourable for the blooming of the olive trees as we have had a no show of fruits last year.
Thanks for the enormous amount of work you put into this Weather Watcher. I'm always hugely impressed, not only by your meterological knowledge but also by your geography. Your mentions of the Ionion Sea and Azorian Islands a couple of weeks ago got me dreaming of summer holidays, but as I'm just about to head off for a week in the Netherlands today's forecast suggests I'll need an umbrella and a warm coat. Oh well, as they say in the army - there's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing.
You’re very welcome, and thank you! I appreciate the kind words 😄 Weather is my main hobby but I also really like geography, so I always try making an effort to mention as many countries/regions as possible to make these videos easier to follow.
Great work, thank you!
Thank you, and you’re welcome!
Thanks for your hard work. Brilliant forcast ❤️✌️
You’re welcome, thanks!
Beautiful job! Thank you so much for all the work, detailed and clear information that no doubt took a lot of research on your part to put this together! You are doing an amazing job in providing this service to so many of us and I’m so grateful for all you do! Greetings from Portugal! 🤗🤗
Thank you so much!
Thanks for detailed analysis of the weather around Europe, rain has played a significant factor in the UK this winter prob as result of sea temps in the Atlantic Ocean.
You’re very welcome!
It looks like the winter pattern continues into the spring. In Western Europe soft and wet. Thank you for this update and many greetings from Belgium
Indeed - You’re welcome!
Thanks for the forecast, better than the bbc
You’re welcome!
after a nice start to spring in north Scotland it back to sleet snow and cold again
Wow!
Last week in March is cold in the dolomites
Wow a lot of hard work to put together

You’re welcome, and thank you so much!
Like i am saying since i discover your great forecasts...exceptional work, all weather i can understand easier than before and have a greater and better idea of what to especte in the future. thank you and continue please. Now i can see Lisbon/ Portugal weather more precise and with a greater degree of precision and understanding of its mechanics.
Thank you very much! I’m happy to see that these videos have been helpful not only for a simple forecast, but also understanding what goes into it. Thanks for the support!
Looks like we will get a summer in Greece after all.
We have experienced a lot of storms here in the last few weeks. Especially towards the evening time.
I'm not complaining though as water here in the Mani peninsula is at a premium.
But now due to the rain the peninsula is a riot of colour. The spring flowers are fantastic. Love this time of year.
Hopefully with the weather as it's happening will give us a good olive harvest in the autumn.
As always great indepth forecast and up to now has been spot on.
This is the best weather going. Thanks for all your hard work.its really appreciated. 😊
Thanks for your comment, and I appreciate the kind words!
Tack!
Tack så mycket, och du är välkommen!!

Excellent and very clear, as usual, Spring forecast. Thank you and much love. ❤️
Thank you, and you’re welcome! Have a great day!
Excellent thank you
You’re welcome!
Excellent as always.
Thank you!
Well for us living in the Andalusian province of southern Spain.
We actually had no winter at all. For the first time ever, we never had to light the fire once.
Now it appears, we are set to bypass spring and go straight to summer temperatures.
Yesterday was 32 c. air con on full blast, in the car.
For the first time. I now actually believe their might be something to this global warming lark.
I look forward to your informed detailed talks and forecasts on global weather patterns.
It would seem weather is about to play a much more significant role in peoples lives.
Very well said, and unfortunately true. It’s been a record warm winter in Portugal as well. We also saw much less rain than usual, with most of the rain happening back in the Autumn. Whether people like it or not, weather needs to be given attention more than ever, as it shifts and acts much different than it has in recent memory.
Amazing forecast, especially the bird's eye view of what drives these patterns. Well worth rewinding and listening to again.
Cheers from your friend in Poland. New name, same enthusiasm. Or maybe greater, after this vid.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed!
Thank you very much!!!
You’re welcome!
thank you
You’re welcome!
Danke!
Gerne geschehen und vielen Dank!
Wow Thanks w.w. 🤗 It will be interesting to see if that prediction comes true. 🤔
You’re welcome! We shall see 🙂
thanks, nice video with good explanations again!
You’re welcome, and thank you!
What an amazing work, it's so nice to share your extensive knowledge. Cheers.
Thank you so much!
We say 'April sweet does what it pleases' (April doet wat het wil) and 'April might give a white hat' (Aprilletje zoet geeft nog wel eens een witte hoed'). So we once had the only wintersnow on March 23 and another time wetsnow on March 31. Up till in May we might have nightfrost, even once in June. Eastern and Pentecost often give rainy, windy even stormy weather, but also can be nice and sunny. Might change daily, even on the same day. Here there is a huge difference in Springtime between the airtemperature (rather cold, circa 10'C, and the amount of sunshine (warm on the skin and behind glass). Anyway, the weather here is unpredictable and differs every 5 km..
Great forecast!, thanks, your hard work is very much appreciated
Thank you so much!
it is a great overview love, your personal thought. it is the reason for my subscription, and being my favorite weather guide I am always happy to see your updates. :)
I’m really happy you liked it! I appreciate the support 😀
Wetter than average the rest of march , April and May for the UK on top of the wettest winter I can remember. Shoot me now 😂
Ouch 🥲
Thanks babe, that was interesting. 😀
Glad you liked it!
Nice work
Thank you!
I only liked the forecast for May 😅. Finaly some decent weather for Northwest Portugal.
Thank you for all your work
Haha yep! Maybe a bit drier by then, but I can’t rule out some thunderstorms and edges of cold fronts from storms further north.
You’re very welcome!
@@WeatherWatcher14i could have dreamed for some more days about good dry weather. Next time, just say "yes" 😊
Thank you. Glad to see that at least May might be warmer in Sweden. Its just been cold since November. Not fun :)
Yeah. Interesting that we saw record cold temperatures in some of the Nordic countries during the winter, while other areas were warmer than usual. For example, my area in Iberia is supposed to get near 30°C this week. Extremely unusual for this time of the year. Weather is just becoming more extreme overall…
Thank you so much for your really concise Spring forecast... many times in the past years a warmer March is followed by much more changeable April and May... a bit like 1968.... 😃⛈️😀
You’re welcome! It will be very interesting to say the least 🙂
That place to the left of the uk is called Ireland. 😊
I know 😄
I want till put in my garden in Ireland but nothing but rain
Thank you for all the work you did on this video.
Tonight it will be cloudy in Amsterdam (NL), but it will still be dry in most places.
The temperature is around 7 degrees and there is a moderate to fairly strong southerly wind.
It will hardly cool down at night and rain will follow in the western half of the country.
Tomorrow there may be some sun in the southeast in the morning.
Furthermore, it is cloudy with gradual periods of rain throughout the country.
It will be 10 to 12 degrees with a moderate to fairly strong southerly wind.
You’re welcome, and thanks for your comment!
There have been no robust blocking patterns over the UK since September 2023 allowing never ending Atlantic lows to bombard the Uk solidly for seven months, binging constant rain to the UK and a well above average named storm activity . This seems extraordinary to me ?? Will 2024 be the same " wash out" year ? If so we need to start accepting a new climate pattern is establishing itself in Europe !!
You’re right. Hopefully 2024 brings relief. Not sure how much longer the British isles will be able to handle this much rain.
Obrigado pela informação dada.
Desde Portugal 🇵🇹
De nada! :)
Cool
Please can you have a word with someone high up to stop the rain over the UK. We've had more than enough and we don't need anymore thank you. It's not looking at all though. It seems to rain every day now.
Honey ! Your good 😊
Thank you!
Obrigado 🇵🇹
De nada!
شكرا صديقي علي ما تقدمه أنه مميز
مرحبًا بك جدًا، وأنا أقدر دعمك 🙂 أتمنى لك أسبوعًا رائعًا!
Excellent Forecast Weather Watcher! A lot of these comments came in between 1-5 minutes from when this comment was made lol🤣
Thank you! 😆
@@WeatherWatcher14 I have a birthday coming up! 😊It's this April 6th.
It looks like our Easter processions here in Malaga (Spain) may be rained off......additionally we have a large "calima" (saharan dust cloud) over us at the moment, which with the predicted rain would turn into mud rain.....
That's coming my way in Portugal :/
Can you do a rewind of past weather in correlation with what you predicted and also what has actually happened
Perhaps I’ll do that in my summer outlook!
Want some rain in malta thanks for the information
You’re welcome!
I'm in Ireland & it's always fuckin raining.
😬
It is 19th of March here, middle of Sweden and we have a cold period for march. -10 last night. And still cold with below 0 for the coming week. Not warm at all.
That is correct, but March 18 was actually the last day of the much colder period. Now I’m expecting temperatures to go above average.
*Remember* - Above Normal doesn’t necessarily mean warm weather, especially earlier in the season. 🙂
−13.8 ℃ with 29 cm snow in Tampere, Finland right now. Harsh, but not unusual. Now, the progression of spring depends on how long it will take for the snow to melt away.
Indeed. Thanks for watching!
Looking for USA spring forecast 2024 🗽🇺🇸👌
Coming soon! 😄
Great, the UK is wet again,7 months now of grey wet weather.😢
Thank you for the EU forecast…hope you are accurate…maybe hoping for MORE RAIN in Iberia!! We will see.
You’re welcome!
It’s been a very dry year in the Mediterranean this year in Spain, very worrying.
Yep. Really wish Spain got more rain, but it’s been really hard getting it down there.
This make's my scared of whats to come for summer not a warm weather fan over here you know.
Understandable. It’s already going to be nearly 30°C in my area. Not setting a good precedent for summer :/
I was wondering how the development of la nina from April onwards is going to affect the south eastern mediterranean countries. I was hoping for cooler temperatures so that we wouldn’t suffer like last year’s heatwaves. I guess we will have to see what will happen in your summer weather forecast. 😃
Hey! The effect of ENSO on Europe is still not directly known, since it is really far away. There’s many other anomalies in the way between the Pacific and Europe, which tend to change things up quite a bit. Nonetheless, I’m unfortunately expecting a scorching summer across southern Europe. I’ll continue watching trends in the coming months, and my summer forecast will probably come out in May. Stay tuned!
@@WeatherWatcher14 thanks for your reply. I really don’t want to have a hot summer like last year’s. We suffered a lot from the heat so I was hoping that la nina would ease the temperatures back to a more normal state. I think the last time we had a la nina we had normal summers with average temperatures. Anyway, we just have to wait and see.
👍
Depressing to see both April and May forcast to be wetter in the UK. I hope not. Its been so wet and rainy since mid January. Anything to do with El Nino? Good informative video.
You’re welcome!
Through my research, what I constantly see is that El Niño doesn’t have a direct impact on Europe, unless other things are in place. For example, the NAO may dictate where storms originating from North America go, so it’s possible that this previous winter just happened to be unusually favorable for a fast zonal jet stream.
I have a really dark feeling about this summer that I hope I am totally wrong about. I'm worried that it's going to be a very hot summer and that we will have blackouts. This worries me because I have a little French Bulldog that doesn't do well in heat. He's old and I'm worried.
Oh no :( I really hope your area doesn’t get too hot.
We hawe a warning in Slovenia for the next week becuse a cold front Will hit us that Will bring possibly Storms and they say that its possible that it Will snow from the maountains to the lowlands
👍👍
