This was one of the very best all around family centered show on TV!!! Big John has become one of the greatest instrumentalists in the world! And he is Nova Scotia's treasure.
I went to some tapings of this show when I lived in Halifax. They pulled people from the audience to hang out in the background of the set, which I did a couple times. First time surprised me that this was a set and not a real kitchen, LOL. My brother introduced me to Bill Doucette and it was the start of my becoming a bluegrass musician once I got past my rock days. The cast of this show were just as friendly in real life as they were on camera. Haven't seen an episode in a long time. Brings back memories, thanks.
