- Hi! Today we will be playing Hotel California on our ukuleles. Hotel California by The Eagles is a very iconic song that you normally hear played on the guitar, but you can definitely play it on ukulele. All you need is a little bit of patience and a lot of heart.

That was an easy and good strumming pattern. Strumming patterns (with singing) are my biggest challenge right now.

Hi Natasha! If you can’t switch fast yet, just do the first down strum of each chord. This way your hand will learn how to switch without the added pressure of strumming on time. You can add the strumming later, once you’re more comfortable 😃

Great tutorial, I love how you just get right in to it. I'm still trying to figure out how to hold my Uke. It's like I have to hold it differently for different songs. I really like this one though, learning a few new cords. Thank you!

Teaching this strumming pattern makes it possible for me a beginner to play. This slightly easier strum still sounds authentic. I do have trouble with the E7 chord, which I am working on.

I hate long intros also lol, which is why I love your videos! One question, I bought the tenor Enya like the one you have a while back when they first came out in that size, and I got the on-board electronics. I was surprised that it seemed a bit heavy, especially the neck which wants to dive down if I don’t control it. I’ve gotten used to it now and it’s not really a problem, but I was wondering if yours is the same way? Also, have you tried doing any Bob Seger songs maybe? Keep up the great work, I watch your videos even when I don’t have my uke around just because they’re enjoyable to watch! 😁🤌
