I liked the demo of their Roots version enough to get the full version. I haven't tried any other ones out there but Roots is leaps and bounds ahead of what I was using years ago. There seems to have been an explosion of amp sims since 5 years ago and the demo videos all sound impressive.
I get the frustration with the demo version cutting out. But tbh while it was slightly annoying to me, I've been using it for months without paying. So it's nice to be able to use it for an unlimited period
I just bought this yesterday and it's the best Plexi I've found (please let me know if anyone knows of one that's better). I've realized since first trying it that I was not/could not set my interface gain properly and it was adding digital distortion. Also I didn't realize until recently how much you can affect the gain with the Input control. I was able to demo the product again as there wasn't a time limit due to the silence feature. So if I had to choose, give me the silence.
Not only the demo... FYI, I had to reinstall the software and I couldn't even get a licence without contacting the company... awful. Did I buy the software or not? Still not sure.
Great demo, they always sound pukker. My question is what is the signal chain you are using before the computer? Is it just a usb interface straight into the standalone amp sim plugin? What interface are you using? What are the gain settings in your audio interface?
There must be a glitch in the demo. I have this plug in and if you turn the mix down on the reverb it goes off. I really like it and also bought the ML800. The cabs that come with them sound really good and I'm much happier with these than I have been with my bias fx2 pro purchase. Just my 2 cents but they both sound great to me. When they go on sale they are a bargain IMHO. Cheers.
"There must be a glitch in the demo. I have this plug in and if you turn the mix down on the reverb it goes off." Agreed. Something was not right there. I have several of their plugins, including this one. And when you turn the mix control down, the reverb goes away completely.
@@intrud3rx Helix Native is better, IMO. Schuffam S-Gear is, too. I have an Axe FX III and the current firmware sounds (IMO) better than anything else out there. Amp sims are so good these days.
I don't like the products of ML ...I purchased a couple of them simply based on trust ...but even 30 bucks is a waste of money if the sound is not what you expect. Look elsewhere.
Wait..., Peavey is still making this plugin? I thought they killed that dying horse? Amplitube is another dead horse. Tone Max is great sounding, but is a CPU hog that takes almost 2 minutes to load. No time to sit and wait for great tone.
ML Sound Lab has really nailed the tones without the upper end fizziness of almost every other amp sim to date!

I love it, was blown away when i cirsf played it. The jcm900 version is very cool too
cheers beers.

The ones you can use for a few days, ones you can down load hacked

That’s not good.
Great clip as always! So... is the quad cortex finally arrived as they said?...Hold on!... its April fools'! :)

Hi Adam, I’m just going straight into a UA Apollo which the gain on 0.
@@TheStudioRats Thank you for the valuable information and may you inspire more of the younger generation to play the guitar.
@@TheStudioRats Thanks for the info, much appreciated, from sunny Malta, feel free to call in for a beer if you take a holiday here.

Yeah, I'm impressed that the built-in IRs sound great compared to stock IRs of other amp sims.

This Vs the Softube 59 plexi ? Thanks
Mercuriall Spark
Great demo. That demo restriction is incredibly annoying. I've heard better 'plexi' sims, but the €30 price is very good.
Which one would you say it’s better? I’m really interested in a Plexi sim! Many thanks :)

@@dver4624 i disagree but variety is the spice of life. Haha.
Helix Native
Better? Which ones? It's all in your perspective.
If you think this plug-ins copy protection is annoying, you haven't tried amplitube.
I’m struggling to get a decent AC/DC sound
It's all about your settings.
Angus used all knobs turned to according to his sound guy.
IMO Mercuriall Spark is my favorite Marshall Plugin. Suuuuper Dynamic.
Still, these sound better to my ear.
Nice sound!
Thank you 😋
Vorna?
The best Plexi is STL Super Lead in AmpHab

Thanks.
BUT, if the sound IS what you're looking for, then why shop elsewhere?
this and the archetype are not that good there ok but not as good as amplitube or even revalver 4
