Great video Chris! You look like one of my high school buddies from 1971, although I’m sure you’re a bit older. 🙂 I’m 65. Fantastic collection and really good photography you have! I have eight vintage film SLRs. I use six of them in rotation. My most favorite is my Nikon F with the FTn photomic prism head, chrome on black. I have three lenses for each of my film SLRs. A wide angle, a 50mm, and a telephoto zoom. I also have the Canon Snappy 50 point ‘n shoot. I’m glad you’re enjoying your very worthwhile hobby!
I love the slap of my M645. Also I think mine is even older than yours, as mine has a 1/500 max speed! Also, I think these Mamiya’s are getting closer to $1000 by the year 😔
Interesting collection of retro cameras 📷 I enjoyed watching, I have an Olympus mju zoom 105, similar to your 120, I feature it in a recent video on my channel. Also just picked up a Canon EOS 500n which is a Rebel G in the USA so similar to your Rebel X, not sure how the model range goes. I've added your channel, hopefully you'll connect? I mostly fly drones but have a healthy interest in retro cameras and film photography.👍
Really enjoyed seeing and hearing about your collection dude! Finding that Mamiya 645... absolutely nuts lol. I was amazed by some of the thrift store prices, but that just blew me away lol. Have you ever checked garage or estate sales? I've had some luck with those too. Also, I do know of one medium format point and shoot! Feels a bit odd to call it that but I think the Fuji GA645 qualifies lol.
I have but never had any luck finding anything at a garage or estate sale…YET! And actually I think you may be right about that Fuji because It seems like a very easy medium format camera to carry around and maneuver. If I ever make a big purchase for a camera that might have to be the one.
People hate on these videos but I love them its like hearing a parent talk to you about their children lol.
