I can't say this is the best FW album, because, all FW albums are the best. He he.
Fates Warning are simply perfect. Unlike many ProgressiveMetal bands, they have developed a personality and a pathos that distinguishes them for the atmospheres, arrangements and lyrics … this art make their superfine technique almost in the background. They are unreachable !!!!
Yea yea me toooth
Very underrated FW album. It gets a lot of undeserved hate because of how experimental it is. But it was a welcome progression imo. Really good album with fantastic production
This album is excellent for me, pure refinated, lucky ours!!!
I love this . The only FW Album I can say I don´t like is "Pleasent Shade of Grey"
I would disconnected is more underrated - this is more experimental though.

Just discovered Fates Warning! Wow, what a sound. I love this album.
Fates Warning, The best band of the World, this cd is beautifull, every note, every song. Keep Fighting brothers!!!
Greatest band ever!! We're from Brazil and we love Fates Warning!
We're really love them, here.
genius song writers and musicians still in my top 3 favorite bands all time! 🎸🎶
That ending at River Wide ocean Deep always gives me chills I rewind it on repeat !!!
THE TIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES ....
This was awesomely done such a talented band 🤘🏻
What a great album !! So catchy and atmospheric !
I really appreciate Fates Warning. They're forever my favorite band.
Love this release. Having mixed feelings over the entire album being uploaded to youtube. I still buy CD audio to supportmy favorite artists.
If I hadn't heard these albums on YT, I wouldn't have bought their vinyls :)
+draganov Cool! Glad folks like yourself are paying for this great music.
that's awesome that you do that ... I do too . its a twisted time we live in... no more labels (which has it'd good merits), but most musicians don't market themselves well...
I can't get enough progressive metal these days ... fates came into their own years ago but now they're the baddest ass prog available... they've had some fangs in their metal for years now... dream theatre n labries ultra soft sensitive vocals bug me ... Adler rules
Love all Fates Warning songs. Trippy how there is something in every song that connects with me. I have purchased parallels at least 3x already and a couple others, so I like to support my band like that too. Also, people who have never heard Fates really end up liking them too!
I always try to buy their CDs, but I still use the YT uploads when I am at the office
Very good album from a great band
i guess my ears were just not ready the 1st time i heard this when it 1st came out,
i came back after reading the new book and getting Long Day(love it)... and i actually get this record, its pretty friggen awesome.
Possibly my favourite Fates album. So, so good.
I LIKE IT!!! God damn it!!! If someone doesn´t like it... KEEP IT FOR YOURSELF! No one here needs to know about your... hummmm... sad taste?!...
Fates Warning, The best band of the World, GREAT CONCEPT ALBUM WAY A HEAD TO THE FUTURE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FATES RULES!!!
the best this band is great hope they keep making music
semplicemente superbo, la vetta creativa dei Fates! Non capisco perchè tutti osannino APSOG che è un album meraviglioso e critichino questo che è un capolavoro.
Got some great guitar lessons from one of the guitarists in this band a couple years back. Truly remarkable band! So many brilliant details.

Must have been Aresti?
These guys rock
Haha I was here 2 yrs agoooo
@@heidijorg9469 Its been 2 years, making a return? ;)
perfect upload ..thank you mate !
Fates Warning is an awsome band
With an awful lead singer. Which makes them suck.
@@flashyfrank5726 So is James Hetfield, so is Dave Mustaine but you wouldnt want anyone else singing for their bands. Ray is actually really good. Just cuz he dont belt out stratospheric screams.
the best
Stupenda
If you guys like this, check out Ray's side project 'Engine' ;)
Masterpiece
the best
This album is really good... I like Fates' stuff from APSOG to the present better than the old stuff...
Only problem with this posting of the album is the times of the songs don't jump you to the right song. Simple Human doesn't even have a track length. the poster should have just added up the times for each track.
'Long Day, Good Night' seems to be a continuation of this album.
Very nice album. Fates Warning is great.
discazooooooooooooooooooo :)
Another Perfect Day is like the Porcupine Tree show opener.
"Heal Meeeeeeee"
what makes FW an exceptional band is, that this is probably their worst album, but it's still solid as fuck, enough said.....
Thomas Ruth Williams Donna Moore Shirley
Davis Sarah White Anthony Lewis Kenneth
Clark James Lopez Elizabeth Anderson Edward
Jackson Maria Martin Sandra Allen Jessica
me wonders if queensryche sevendust and cranes( beautiful friend) had influence.
Yes, they are both big fans of FW!

Sorry, no Frank Aresti... no Fates Warning.
I love Aresti but Jim always was, and always will be Fates Warning
@@omairsh8 I'm a Progressive Metal guitarist myself, so I guess that makes me a little biased, and I've been into Fates since '85, so, there's that too. There is just something missing with their sound since Frank left in the late '90's. I know Frank played leads on that Arch/Mattheos record a few years ago, and I know Frank got married some years ago... so, maybe he's moved on and doesn't have any inclination to play in Fates anymore. The No Exit, Perfect Symmetry, Parallels, and Inside Out period are what Fates Warning are to me... but, to each his own.
Regards 🎸
@@scottdunn2178 Frank contributed heavily to 2013's Darkness In A Different Light and played some solos on 2016's Theories Of Flight \m/
With the sucky singer, it doesn't matter who else is in the band.
@@flashyfrank5726 🤣😂🤣😂 you know what they say about opinions, especially dumb ones, they are like assholes... Everyone's got one and they generally all stink... like yours lol.
not my cup of tea
Whose cup is it?
Very bad album from a great band
+Brian Kniffen It's one of my favorite Fates Warning albums. The songs are straight to the point and properly heavy yet with a very despondent, aged atmosphere as the guys pass 40 years old.
***** To me, having been a FW fan since No Exit, this entire album felt very quickly put together, and you could hear the different directions everyone was going musically. It was the most disappointing album that I KNOW was far below Fates potential.
The guitars and some of Ray's vocals sounded like Engine. Didn't expect to hear that in a Fates Warning album but Simple Human is ridiculously awesome.
Admittedly the "downtuned" element can be offputting for some, the general lack of odd times and long songs is different too, and a minimalistic song like Wish with the same chord running through almost the entire song is not typical either.
***** I agree that it had some of the Engine feel to it, but Simple Human was pretty much the best song on the album, and that's not saying much. And while Engine had SOME good songs (Falling Star, etc) I was not crazy about them either. But I was a fan of Alder with Redemption, which had the Progressive feel of the better Fates albums, but much heavier, which I was quite happy with. While I am happy Fates reformed, you have to admit the lack of Mark Zonder really makes a difference in the music. The newest album is pretty good (I do like it), and the percussionist is talented, and bands do change with time, as well as their taste in music and emotion, Zonder was a key element that rounded out that distinct Fates sound.
I still like Fates but you are correct. They are not the same without Mark Zonder. He has been my favorite drummer since I heard PS back in 89. i brought Mark on to do our Turning Virtue Album that we just released on April 8 2016. Check it out, his performance is just superb!
