Just came across this video and your channel. I loved the card designs you made with this stamp set and DSP. Those are probably one of my favorites . I look forward to seeing more of your content. Thank you for sharing
I just came across this video. I’ve been playing with it. I thought your directions for making these 3 cards were outstanding. I’m going to try case-ing it. I especially appreciated the use of the notecards. I don’t see them used that often.
So glad you enjoyed the video/cards! I love the Note Card and Envelopes for quick cards. I hope you'll subscribe to my channel so you don't miss out on future videos/techniques.
Hey Sara! I love the way you say You-Tube - fab accent! A 'pinky' is a great tool in a stampers arsenal! Lol! It acts as a good stabiliser before you are certain that's where you want to stamp the image. I like that there is an 'iny' and an 'outy' for the main image in the Penned Petals dies too. I am really encouraged when I see an experienced demonstrator stamping an easy, casual and avid trilogy because stamping and card making really is for everyone. Thanks Sara! xox ~ C ~ GB-uk
Yeah, I noticed that too Christine. It wasn't just two step stamping today -- it was two hand stamping - LOL Card making is for everybody. And one style or another is a stretch for each of us. For me, it's the simple stamping that I find hardest.
Lol! @@Theartfulinker For sure! Before I got seduced by mixed media I could do clean and simple cardmaking - but I became more of a chuck everything at it and hope for the best kinda girl. Now I do and enjoy any style just for the fun of it and to, hopefully, suit the intended recipient of a hand-made @ home card! This year S'U! appear to have seen the error of their ways because the die-sets have become more more metal heavy and therefore more cost effective. They have also become more user friendly by adding additional leaves, flowers and extra letters - even including an umlaut, circumflex, cedille, an acute and a grave accent and a trema! Now I can spell/stamp my Welsh cousin Shân's name correctly!
@@christinedavies336 funny you say that. You say "error", I say growth in the industry. When I started stamping everything was fussy cut. Then came the dies for single, larger items. As we die cut more and want to hand cut less, we're seeing more pieces in our die sets. I'm with you and love the extra small pieces like multiple small flowers or leaves.
Watching you for the first time. Your skills are very artistic and these cards are beautiful. I subscribed to your channel and will be back to learn more. Thank you from south Florida. 🌴🌴🌴
So glad I found you! I just got this bundle and the beautiful paper. This was my FIRST SU purchase in 18 yrs. of crafting.!! All the cards were great and helped me understand how to use this set.
I just found your UA-cam video today, and I subscribed, and will look for others you have done. Thank you for the work you went to in order for us to drool over the new stamps and paper! lol I loved all 3 cards.
Hi Jenny! Yes, they are available. They are new in the 2021-22 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. You'll find them in the Scalloped Contours Dies on page 158 in the catalog or use the link to my store in the description above and you can find them there.
Sara, I love your Hand Penned card. I just got my Hand Penn Petals stamp set and dies. I'm having a problem with the stamps. The stamp looks blotchy. I have tried cleaning the stamp but that didn't work. Do you have any suggestions. Thanks Cathy
Hi Cathy! First, thank you. Second I'm at a little bit of a disadvantage because I can't see what's happening but, when you look at the artwork on the front of the stamp case you'll notice two things: on the two large florals, all the lines are not connected leaving some blanks spaces; and on the fill stamps there is some texture/gradation. If you're not expecting either of those you may think the stamps aren't doing what you expect them to. If neither of those are the case, come on over to my FB page (also theartfulinker) and message me so that we can chat in real time.
The second card is beautiful. Love the ribbon!
