I read the whole book once it came out , I felt it connects all the pieces of puzzles I was struggling to see in the light of Quran...
Truly a breakthru in understanding divine guidance in the light of the presence..
Will reread and reread again ...

What is presently going on in Gaza represents the failure of a Sunni nation in Gaza supporting a terrorist attack on a much stronger foe at a time when the leader of that foe was facing serious legal challenges to maintain his stranglehold on power. The outcome was somewhat predictable in terms of that leader then using the opportunity for war as a smokescreen both as a democide against his own people and a genocide on Gazans. These are nations which have both gone badly astray and surely Allah will replace them with better people.

At 86 my vision of existence goes further than religions and politics. ETERNITY and REALITY: I have been part of the sky and part of the sea. I have been the wind and the tree. This is how I know that I was, that I am, and that when I die, the atoms of my body will become part of million of bodies for millions of years. My reality is the same as every living or not living creature, on earth and in the universe, as in the past, in the future, for ETERNITY. All religions and sacred book are a human creation. Netanyahu has been inspired in his extreme cruelty by the Thora and the Bible.

Is is not what all of us wanted -- until now...

Besides annoying, is there a good point in publishing a digital book in a "two-page spread" layout? Reading it has to be scrolling up and down.

It seems the new wording of the law about Islamism is making things on this channel quite unclear. Having listened to the podcast, I have no idea as to why governance via Sharia addresses the problems of liberal democracy Britain. Maybe get Imam Tom on to discuss it, or the thinking Muslim guy, though he's a Brit too so might not word things clearly either

Funny to heard him saying "materialism, materialism" while he translated the word الْعَالَمِينَ by "worlds", which is not. This word is not a material, but what is knowledgeable, root علم (Sign). I really don't trust philosophy, and worse, the translations of the Qur'an by western people, orientalists. : )

And Taoism is newer compared to the various ethnic religions that existed in Southern China before Han Chinese expansion. Well, if only you knew that Islam is not a label, it's a verb. It transcends all human communities (a statement controversial for even most Muslims). It's our Fitrah/innate disposition.

      Core Concept of the Path.
Taoism. The Tao (translated as "the Way" or "the Path") is the ultimate reality and source of everything in the universe. It represents the natural order that one should align with to live a harmonious life. However, the Tao itself is ineffable and beyond human comprehension, as Laozi states: “The Tao that can be spoken of is not the eternal Tao.”
Islam. The term Shariah translates to "a path to water," symbolizing the way of life that leads to spiritual nourishment and closeness to Allah. Like the Tao, the essence of Allah is unknowable; what is accessible to humans are His attributes (Asma' al-Husna) and actions, as conveyed in the Quran and Hadith.
Just as Taoism encourages living in accordance with the Tao to achieve balance, Islam emphasizes following the Shariah for a just and righteous life, grounded in God's guidance.
      Unknowability of the Divine.
Taoism. The Tao is described as being beyond names, forms, and human comprehension. It can only be experienced indirectly through its manifestations in nature and existence.
Islam. Allah's transcendence is emphasized in verses like Quran 6:103: "Perception comprehends Him not, but He comprehends all perception. And He is the Subtle, the Aware." While His essence remains beyond human understanding, His attributes and signs (ayat) in creation reveal His immanence.
In Taoism, the flowing of a river or the cycles of nature exemplify the Tao. In Islam, the beauty and order of creation, such as the balance in the universe, are signs of Allah's attributes like Al-Hakim (the Wise) and Al-Khaliq (the Creator).
      Immanence and Transcendence.
Taoism. The Tao is simultaneously beyond form (transcendence) and present in all things (immanence). This duality encourages humility and reverence for life.
Islam. Allah's transcendence (tanzih) highlights His absolute uniqueness and incomparability. At the same time, His immanence (tashbih) is reflected in verses like Quran 50:16: "And We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein." This dual aspect fosters love and submission.
A Taoist may see the growth of a tree as an embodiment of the Tao. A Muslim sees Allah’s immanence in the tree's creation, nurturing, and role in the ecosystem while affirming that Allah is unlike any created thing.

While Taoism and Islam differ in their foundational beliefs, both traditions emphasize humility before an unknowable ultimate reality and provide paths (Tao or Shariah) to guide human behavior in harmony with that reality. These shared themes encourage deeper reflection on life's purpose and the interconnectedness of existence.

Taoism: The goal is to achieve harmony with the Tao and attain a state of balance, tranquility, and unity with the universe.
Islam: The ultimate purpose is to worship Allah and achieve closeness to Him, culminating in eternal peace in Paradise (Jannah).
Example: A Taoist might meditate on nature to internalize its harmony, while a Muslim engages in Salah (prayer) to connect with Allah and align their life with His will.
