Nice! 🙂 9:10 Turkish coffee is pretty much the opposite of espresso which is prepared in a machine with high temperatures and pressure in a second. Turkish coffee is boiled for a long time on about the lightest oven setting as possible so it starts to bubble over time which generates the texture. Then you take a spoonfull of the bubbles on top and use this as a base for a cup of coffee. Basically you can do this at home, you just need the proper coffee and a metal can to boil it in. Turkish coffee is usually boiled with sugar, other variations of it like Bosnian coffee without sugar. Wherever the Ottoman Empire extended, you will find some version of it.
Often times when traveling you have a day when the universe is going to let you know who's in charge. It will foil the most carefully made plans, and do it with great humor. The trick is to be able to laugh at the joke. Your over all production values are really amping up. It might be interesting to do a vlog around your equipment, your editing and general workflow and shot scheduling ect. But then again it may be just me trying to get some pointers for my trip this Dec LOL
I started watching your channel with the Korea vlogs cause I’m planning a trip there in the Spring. Then I just fell in love with your guys’ personality and I am now all caught up from the beginning! Thank you both for sharing your adventures with us!
I'm going to have to try Turkish coffee now! I spent an afternoon in Kusadasi a while ago and I have always wanted to go back- the people in Turkey were very nice.
We are SHOCKED by how busy Istanbul was for you! I wonder if it's the time of year or if it's always like that now. We were there ages ago - 2006 - and had most of those places to ourselves. Revenge travel is real this year!!
Right?! We have definitely seen both ends of the spectrum this year. Cappadocia apparently had a record number of visitors this summer, and I imagine Istanbul isn't far off.
Wow the desserts looked awesome and the cakes in the cabinet look amazing. Glad you still had a good day even though you had to walk for miles to find postcards.
We visited Istanbul twice and really loved it. I thought we saw some postcards by the shops near the obelisk/serpentine/ hippodrome right beside Sultan Ahmet (Blue) Mosque. Would love to get a postcard from you guys. Love & respect from Bangladesh
Howdy from Texas!! Well… Since you spent all that time walking and looking for a postcard I kind of want it. 😅 I followed you from Thailand trip and went back to see all of them. Travel safe and enjoy it for us!!
The blooper with the TV crew is the funniest thing ever. My gf and I never miss your your videos and are crossing our fingers for that 7 mile post card haha 🤞🤞
I was so confused. I clicked on the video titled "THE WORLD'S LARGEST BAZAAR (and the Blue Mosque)" and paused it mid way and when I went back to the list, I see this video (titled "THINGS DID NOT GO ACCORDING TO PLAN IN ISTANBUL") and for a split second thought that I have another video to indulge on but nope ... same video but with a title change.
Aloha guys! Another fun video. These kinds of experiences make traveling so unexpected and fun. I live for these moments lol. You guys are working so hard to create great content for us. As always stay safe!!!!
Love the Hagia Sophia! Such an iconic landmark. Turkey is on our bucket list watching you both travel around there has bumped it to top of the list! Thankyou!
So happy that you guys loved the desserts at Hafiz Mustafa 1864! The bloopers with the TV crew was so funny. Saw that you guys may be heading to Cappadocia next, if you are, try staying a night in a cave hotel. It's a very different experience and most would have seating areas overlooking the beautiful scenery there. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Stay safe and take care!
It was very bizarre that there were no postcards in the bazaar lol. I would love a postcard!! I haven't been to Turkey yet. Thank you for sharing your travels with us.
I was in China somewhere and looked for postcards and couldn’t find any. It was just not a thing that they did. And I think they didn’t have many foreign tourists there. I don’t remember what city it was
@@OnePackWanderers yeah I love China 🇨🇳 I was there for 8 years teaching. But it was pre pandemic and pre Twump days. China and Canada and USA had a pretty friendly relationship. Every kid in China studied English. After Tweetie Twump became president the relationship began to sour. I hope things will swing back and improve again. It’s the best thing for everyone to have good relationships. For business and tourism and peace and everything. Anyway life goes on. It’s a big world. You guys are seeing a lot! Thanks 🙏 for your great videos!
Cheveyo, you should not mock Tia's joke about the bazaar being bizarre as your jokes are much worse, but I love them! Yes, Tia's joke was lame, but I loved it too! 🤣
Candidat for difficult to achieve postcard here! 😆 I liked your determination!! Haha! But you did it! Love your vlogs a lot!! Have been watching them for a while now. Keep up the good work. Love to you both!
Not done it before, but this time I’ll shoot for a postcard! Been to Istanbul 4 times, and just love wandering around the back streets and seeing Istanbuli life. And Tia, wot, no Turkish Delight (Lokum)? 😂
5:54 This kind of joke that Tia made in the video is called an "ah-jae gag" in Korea, which is a joke that only middle-aged (Korean) men (singularly, "ah-jae") would make.
Nice! 🙂

Desserts and postcards - feels like the typical tourist thing :D

You'll have to go back when the blue mosque is done, it is quite beautiful.
Sometimes it is fun when plans don't go as planned. Great video
Howdy from Texas!! Well… Since you spent all that time walking and looking for a postcard I kind of want it. 😅 I followed you from Thailand trip and went back to see all of them. Travel safe and enjoy it for us!!

We went to Disney World and I walked on average 8.6 miles a day! So I feel your pain but I did also get some post cards from Disney World.
Cheveyo, you should not mock Tia's joke about the bazaar being bizarre as your jokes are much worse, but I love them! Yes, Tia's joke was lame, but I loved it too! 🤣
