Let's clean and declutter! 15 minutes in Flylady Zone 3, the bathroom - New Year, New You! Diane in Denmark - I’m here to be your cheerleader! Are you ready to get organized? I love using the Flylady and Getting Things Done systems! Come and join me on Instagram! instagram.com/dianeindenmark/
You always look as if you are having loads of fun doing your chores! I love that you're always do cheery. You brighten my day! Thank you dear friend. 💝😊🌷🌿
I love your videos and our one on one chat was so nice! I told my husband I wish I had you as a friend in real life to regularly go to 🙂 thanks for providing us with structure and balance. It's helping! 💕
Hi Diane I started a simple routine at night I wash the dishes in the morning I put them away it's helped my anxiety and frame of mind and my husband has been helping since there isnt so much
Happy Day Diane in Denmark ...you look so pretty ... it’s 15 January 2020 Wednesday 7:10 am... Youngstown , Ohio USA🇺🇸 30° outside dry ~ but it’s going to be a Grand Day ...
The scrubbies work so well, but I think they could have made them prettier so I could leave them out on the sink. Silly. Maybe, but I like pretty things.
Thumbs up Diane . Great video. Your bathroom is so stylish and well designed. I love the glass fronted storage . So practical and streamlined. xxx Have a great day x Margaret
Whilst you cleaned your bathroom I wiped my journal clean and tidied my desk....and filled in a form for school! Thanks Diane...I was listening...honest! It's all moving forward here...YAY! 🎇🎇🎇 x
I love your house and that top is so fun and comfortable looking! Live the jewels too. Lol I love everything basically! :). Clean the bathroom everyday... I haven’t done that just like check ups. New goal.
Loved just the sound of your open windows. I can't wait until Chicago warms up enough to open all the windows and thoroughly air my home. Great advice on the laundry basket. I bought a small canvas basket on a wheeled frame to keep my laundry off the damp bathroom floor. I standardized on all white towels and only use this basket for whites. It fills up about once a week and it's an easy LOL because it is always sorted and ready to go. ❤🧺❤🧺❤🧺❤
Hi Eileen! We open our windows morning and evening all year round...about 5 minutes, long enough to get some fresh in but not too long to drop the temperature 😃
Eileen, I do the same for my kitchen towels and wash rags. Basket full or put out the last set? Into the laundry I empty the container and wash that load. A towel load also is a trigger for me to pull the bath towels into the load as well. All towels in my house get washed once a week with this system.
No, still winter! 😁 It was hot in our bathroom (three people had just showered there) but I put my pink cardigan back on when I was finished working in there 👋
You have that small laundry basket and you do a lol every day but with different temperatures (and washing powders?). So do you take the laundry basket to the basement in the morning and sort it there and then start a lol with the biggest pile (dark, light or hot wash...) or highest urgency? Or do you start a lol with everything that's in the bathroom basket? (Background of my question: I am always hesitating to start a half load because of water, energy a.s.o. - although energy is green, washing powder is eco friendly, no tumble dryer. Wondering how I could adjust my routines.)
Hi! We love saving water/energy too! We sort it into loads in the basement and take whatever is "biggest". Darks, lights/delicates 30 degrees. Towels/sheets etc 60 degrees.
Ha ... I have taught everybody to just throw it down the stairs. Some are better at this than others. Next step to implement is that they could actually walk down, and put things in the right basket in the sorting system. Maybe in twenty years. (Considering that dishes are left on the counter above the dishwasher, in the sink, on the table, or wherever ... ) I removed the upstairs basket because it was not used and not emptied. Now I just raid that room regularly, and irritate with reminders.
Please clarify my confusion. Does this zone cleaning come under daily 15 min declutter or is it separate. And I'm not able to find specific videos on zones. Please help.
Stick to one or the other, unless you have lots of time! If you have a lot of clutter in your house, you deal with that first before starting zone cleaning.
Love your sink that’s a great idea. Atm I have fly lady emails coming through but to be honest that’s causing me stress because there are so many. I signed up to them because it gave me the zones for the week. Is there any way I can alter it so they are limited to zones rather than all the testimonies? X
Glenys...that's what overwhelmed me and put me off FlyLady years ago. Now I either follow my control journal, Diane or go to the FlyLady.net page and look up Flight Plan on the Launch Pad, any of those help to keep me on track. I also have a calendar which is laid out with 3 full weeks in the centre and the odd bits of the month top and bottom, so its really easy to write onto the page zone 1 on the first line, Zone 2 2nd line, zone 3 3rd line etc. Where in the world are you? There are some lovely facebook pages for support, I belong to the FlyLady UK page and the ladies are lovely. Good wishes x
Hi Glenys! The others have given you great ideas. I think you can still get the Daily Digest email from the Flylady (one, as opposed to 15...) but I'm not sure 🖐
I AGREE! I think Diane in Denmark does the Flylady SO MUCH BETTER than the Flylady herself! SO much easier and simple to follow. I cant handle all the emails and I think her website is cluttered and not user-friendly too.
Oh yes, of course! Thank you for your reply! I’ll do that with my smaller plants that I can carry into the bath tub. But the bigger ones will have to just be dusted with a damp cloth!
I do five minutes in the living room and dining room daily because they get a mess so quickly. We are under construction and frustratingly I’m the only one in the house doing the system.

It is fun to go through playlists while getting my tasks done and cleaning up. Sun is shining outside, and you are my UA-cam sunshine!
I love the idea of working 10 or so min in every zone for the week just to get back in control and recover from the holidays!
Diane, you help me get my day off to a positive and productive start, and it sets the tone for the rest of my day. Thank you!!!
Glad to be your "Morning Cheerleader", Michelle!
I wouldn’t have thought to do a zone a day to get back on track! Good idea!
You always look as if you are having loads of fun doing your chores! I love that you're always do cheery. You brighten my day! Thank you dear friend. 💝😊🌷🌿
You're amazing! Who else cleans their bathroom in a WHITE top? What a role model!!!
LOL!
I love your videos and our one on one chat was so nice! I told my husband I wish I had you as a friend in real life to regularly go to 🙂 thanks for providing us with structure and balance. It's helping! 💕
You are so very welcome, Sarah!
I also have a very small laundry basket too...that way the clothes get cleaned more often...
Great idea with the children's old t-shirts.

I like that you have to "find" something to do in this zone
I have those scrubbies in my kitchen. I never thought to use them in the bathroom!!! Thank you for this nice refresher week.
The scrubbies work so well, but I think they could have made them prettier so I could leave them out on the sink. Silly. Maybe, but I like pretty things.
You have a beautiful home...love the bathroom especially.💖
Absolutely love the design your bathroom ❤️
I love that sink and your tub!

I like doing each zone every week. I think I will adopt this schedule. Thanks! Btw, I love your bathroom.
Now I'm gonna declutter in here! Thanks for another great video, I liked cleaning along with you.
Whilst you cleaned your bathroom I wiped my journal clean and tidied my desk....and filled in a form for school! Thanks Diane...I was listening...honest! It's all moving forward here...YAY! 🎇🎇🎇 x
Go you, Karen - form filling is a good one! 🎉
Most wonderful video this year! Have a blessed new year
Thank you for today Ms Diane in Denmark❤️👌❤️
Happy Wednesday to you and happy cleaning
Thanks, Diane, this overview of the zones is very helpful to me, and the perfect way to start the new year.
So glad you're enjoying the videos! 🤗

@@DianeinDenmark Too cold here. I am looking forward to an all-day-all-window take-out. Spring is on my mind as the days are getting longer. 🌷😎🌷
That was supposed to be "air-out" not "take-out".
😅

Love your bathroom, that tub is something I would love. Also love your outfit today, is it Spring yet?? ok, I love everything..lol Have a great day!!

Diane in Denmark I was assuming that and will try that. 😊 Thank you for your reply! 🌷

Since you mentioned your bathroom sink...what brand or make is it? I amredoing our bathroom soon and I love that style!
Hi Darlene! It's Axor Urquiaola
Would love to try Maison Belle but can't find it for less than £40 in UK unfortunately : o
Anti procrastination list made for today. I am up too late or too early!
Yes, you are, Jeanne - but always lovely to "see" you! 😍

Finding it hard to to get motivated. I can see what you are doing is nice. I just feel tired.
I think prettier scruabbies would make a difference.

Get the Cozi app with the FlyLady schedule, it's free and it's much better! Unsubscribe to the emails.
I lasted about two weeks back in 2007 with the emails.😣 Unsubscribe from the emails. I discovered the app last year and found Diane!🎉

I try to skoosh skoosh but never get a good result. Use a microfiber cloth too. Any ideas?
Use less cleaning product? Sometimes I just use a damp microfibre rag 👋
I'll try that! 😁
When you rinse your plants in the bathtub, don’t they end up over watered?
No, there are holes in the bottom of the inside pots.
Oh yes, of course! Thank you for your reply!
