I just love you. Seriously, thank you for all your hard work and dedication that you put into this channel. You really are awesome at what you do and words can't even explain how much you are helping me right now, eventhough I can't do as much as I'm used to right now. I continue to tell myself, just a little something is better than nothing!
I really appreciate your videos, my front door is now spring clean inside and out (and the flyscreen) , the entry walls have been wiped of smudges and the weeds have been pulled from between the bricks so the freshly shaken mat now sits flat and flush against the wall. Like magic, one cloth, one spray bottle (orange method so it even smells clean too) and your cheery voice in the background encouraging 🙏😊🇦🇺💜
I have been putting off blessing my entryway/porch because it's been summer weather still here in California and my brick patio turns into an oven. Thankfully it's now autumn weather with some much welcomed rain and I can't wait to organize my porch this week and shine the outside of my front door! As Marla says every room can have a "shiny sink"! I've bought fresh soil for repotting my plants and a few new mini rose plants to brighten up the area. Looking forward to sweeping away months of cobwebs and dirt. Before watching your videos I wasn't excited about housework, now I am thanks to you.
How did you know? (( smiles )) I had decided months ago to start embracing the cooler/cloudy/rainy days and to choose to appreciate them just as much as the sunny and hot days. You were my inspiration for this! Always seeing you so cheerful, even when saying "good-bye today, for a rather dull Copenhagen" ...And thus, remembering the phrase, "There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothing!" helped me to embrace this new mindset, which this year, I have extended this mindset to include the season of Fall, which has typically always been my least favorite season. (even though when it seems everyone in the US seems to LOVe Fall) Well, I have jumped on board, thinking that this would be just even a greater number of days to choose to be joyful when including these rather dull-looking days :) The hall cupboard at our house (we call it the entryway/coat closet) has been decluttered of unwanted coats, hats and gloves and today, I am on a mission in Zone 1 to hose down the front porch of spider webs and any debris and back porch to tidy up the patio table and umbrella. I'd like to buy a white pumpkin soon :) Thank you as always, for working along with me! Your place looks beautiful; the wood elephant, is it? from your DDFIL is outstanding!
Good morning Diane. It's evening for us on the other side of the world. LOL done, swept the porch and back door and evening routines done. I like the flylady system as it is great for working mums too. Little and often is the key I think. Have a great week.
I love this, Diane! At first it seems silly but when I think about it...we are an ocean apart and we both shake our feather dusters out the front door with the same familiar sound. This gives me hope for peace and joy. Thank you, my friend.
Go you Diane! i love the pumpkins and your lovely lantern thingy. and Go me! I paused this about 5 mins in and went off and cleaned my porch for 15 mins, decluttered it and put in a plant so it is a lovely welcoming space now. thanks for the constant inspiration and encouragement. Niamh in Dublin
Went straight to my garage (in basement) and decluttered as I cleaned. It still has a mountain of stuff (where I store everything: deck furniture, lawn chairs, garden, auto, sports equip., holiday decorations)plus it is also my laundry room, But with all that, it looks much better after only 15 minutes. Thanks for your encouragement.
Thank you Diane for the inspiration. I’ve spruced my porch up and cut back my old but “leggy” geraniums in there to give them a new lease of life. Lovely to see them blooming even in the winter 😊
This video was just suggested by UA-cam. Maybe is because its the time of year ! I just did my autumn pots last weekend and of course did outside my front door 🤪
Good Monday Morning Diane! LOVE the vid... Motivation.. And positivity. Thx for reminding me to not get perfectionism in my way. I really appreciate that . and btw you look extra nice .today..hair and makeup very pretty. Have a great day.
Lightbulb moment!!!! In your explanation of Zone 1, today you said "or wherever you come in from outdoors, maybe from the garage..." We have a tiny mudroom/laundry room where we come in from the attached garage. I have sometimes been working on it when I do the kitchen but it fits even better into Zone 1 for me.. AS WELL AS the area of the garage door entry which we use more than the front door/porch. And it is never as clean as it should be..... Thank you for today's video!
OMG how ironic.... update on the mudroom... getting new hot water heater today, and to access basement with LARGE object -through the mudroom to basement - I had to remove some shelving. SO mud/laundry/ garage & basement access room will get a THOROUGH cleaning! 🤣 Will post on Instagram 😉.
@@DianeinDenmark and... for Anti-procrastination day on Wed, I sorted out my refrigerator's freezer compartment... it is also our put-out-trash night. Today I should be doing my WHB, but I'm dragging my bahookie ... I'll get it done! Just lots of tidying to do as I go. Thanks!
Hi Diane, I agree these zones fly round! I can’t believe we are in October already!! Have a great day and thank you once again for an inspirational video! 😘👍🏻👏🏻
Big Hugs....thought you all looked so cute this morning with your tinsel crowns and candles....as for the skinny dip...Good grief......I am so impressed you do this daily....leaves me cold - LOL - excuse the pun...can't wait to see more of your Vlog when you visit Copenhagen...
Hello Diane, thank you for your inspiring and positive videos. I look forward to them every day. Just wondering, when do you clean your window blinds? Thanks again!
Ours are made of fabric so I occasionally give them a dust. Decide how often you want to clean yours and write it in your Control Journal/Cleaning list to keep you on track.
A bit of a surgery setback today. Alan swept the porches out and took the recycling down. The house is on auto-pilot today. On way. home tomorrow, we will pick up aa bit more decor at the local farm. We only have to take care of each other now.
Your home is beautiful! Thank you for cheering us along. If I may inquire, what is the brand range of your organic cleaning products? I've had difficulty being happy with the quality level of American produced organic, nonchemical products. Thank you for your commitment to others making a good life every day!
Hi Suzanne! It's a Danish brand called Maison Belle by Isabella Smith but I'm not sure it's available where you are...but health food stores usually have environmentally friendly/non-toxic cleaning supplies. Also, the old basics such as baking soda, vinegar are great! 👋
Suzanne, I know you didn't ask me but I'm in the U.S. and use "Branch Basics" and highly recommend it! You buy the concentrate and mix with distilled water at home. They have bottles with the measure marks on them to fill for different uses. Can check it out online. A+ with BBB too. I'm not affiliated, just a fan:)
Hi Diane, As always it's a pleasure to watch you. I noticed the lamp in the corner of the dining room. I find it difficult to keep the lampshades clean. Any suggestions on how to tackle them. Thanks.
Hi Diane, thank you so much for your videos! They have really inspired me to get off my ‘bahookie’ and get things done and with a DD7 and DS4 mths I needed the push! You have completely changed my mindset on cleaning! I just wondered if you have any tips for cleaning blinds? Thank you again 😊
Hi Gracie! Re cleaning blinds...it will all depend on what kind of blinds you have (fabric, plastic, metal, wood etc) and what you are trying to remove (light dust, heavy grease, fingerprints, etc). I'd suggest you Google for ideas...hope that helps! 🤗👋
I have two pairs of white Nikes, exactly the same! LOL! The old ones I cleaned up and use indoors (I put them in the washing machine on a low heat wash every couple of weeks to keep them "fresh").
I just love hearing those birds, it makes it sound like a HOME!!!

Good afternoon Diane, I very much like your decoration at your front door. Especially the lantern. Thanks for the inspiration and have a good day.
Loving my new microfiber cloths for windows. No streaks and no plie of soggy newspapers. Faster too.
Used microfibre cloth to clean my windows, wow what a difference. Love the elephant what a beautiful carving.
Thank you for the Monday morning motivation! I love your zone cleaning videos, helps me stay focused and avoid perfectionism! You're the best!

Good morning from Egypt 🌹

Dust them off with a dry cloth or feather dust first, then rub gently with a slightly damp cloth on any marks/stains.
@@DianeinDenmark Thanks, I'll give it a try.
How do u clean the feather duster?? I don’t know how to maintain duster ... afraid to use them....
