Dear All, I never expected this response but thank you all for the comments. Nick deserves greater as travelling in the current circumstances was not easy for them. All I had to do was TALK. Not an easy thing for me as many of you have commented but I managed!!!! Bottom line is get on the water if at all possible and in the safest craft you can afford. I'll wager John has never sailed properly or he would 'get it' I used to be like that. As my old motor boat instructor said many years ago there's only two interesting parts to motorboating, leaving and arriving, the bit in the middle is just noisy uncomfortable driving. I've done lots of both and for me this is just unskilled noisy, bouncing about and ecologically unsound just like everyday life, no escape. The vast majority of motorboaters who have sailed with me are instant converts. Sailing is a relaxing escape, an art, the ropes, the sail shape, harnessing the wind the silence other than the water sliding by is all part of it, but you need the time and the ability to unwind and enjoy. At the end of the journey you have accomplished something with a sense of achievement and the wind is free not 1 mile to the gallon! It's like saying who'd walk up a hill when you could drive a Land rover up it in minutes - completely missing the point- the two are incomparable - I would never go back to motoring buy hey each to his own .
@@adriansayers7002 I am loving the boats but to add as a proud chief cook and bottle washer of a 45 foot gaff rig ketch the sublime feeling of sailing at 8 knots with not a sound of engine and doing 70 miles with no adjustments to the tack is the one for me. Not saying this is the norm but to experience it at least once was a life experience and there i was on my "night watch" thinking wow this is unbelievable

Brilliant as always Nick (I particularly liked Marianne looking over John's shoulder for the entire talk 😄).

I only discovered the channel a few days ago, but Meet The Owner is excellent. We got married at John's hotel in Kenmare in 2000. An absolutely charming man who made the weekend so special. The Park Hotel is a very special place to us and they look after you so well. Highly recommended. We recently visit again with our children in 2016 and he couldn't have been more welcoming. Great video Nick and a pleasure to watch.
Easiest job you've ever had, Nick!!! I thought the owner was really engaging, relaxed and explained everything well with sound reasons for designing the boat as he had.. Would love to go and have a few hours on the boat chatting to a very interesting bloke.
Fantastic report Nick, and glad to see that you got a bit of boating in! John must be a dream to interview, as he has a tongue in his head and is very eloquent. I don't know John, but I met his brother, Francis, when I stayed at the Kenmare Park Hotel some years ago. Still, the best Hotel I have stayed in any where in my travels. The attention to detail at Kenmare Park is simply stunning, so Johns attention to detail with his boat doesn't surprise me at all. Kenmare is a beautiful part of a wonderful country. I must go back there again.
This was a brilliant upload Nick. I loved the boat, but the owner was also an impressive guy. He's an absolute natural on camera. Could have listened to him all day, top bloke👍

What a boat and what an owner! Another owner that is clearly a boating fanatic and passionate about it! Definitely do more of these style reviews Nick, incredibly entertaining and informative too, I loved the Jim Davidson video but this was equally as good and what a great guy the owner was, look forward to the next one and keep up the great work!
Hi Richard and great to have you check in. Hope all is well with you both. Best wishes, John
Fantastic boat John. Many happy years of boating.
Video and owner were so much cooler than I could have imagined
Easiest job you've ever had, Nick!!! I thought the owner was really engaging, relaxed and explained everything well with sound reasons for designing the boat as he had.. Would love to go and have a few hours on the boat chatting to a very interesting bloke.
Great boat ,great host and a great part of the world
Fantastic report Nick, and glad to see that you got a bit of boating in!
Both their hotels are now up for sale
@@corkboy4523 ......no way!
That's a shame. Probably be bought-up by some American conglomerate.
I really like John's boat. It's utterly practical, rugged, comfortable and beautiful - but not ostentatious. Thanks for the tour!
Thanks for watching!
What a fabulous boat. Enjoyed watching this. Thanks Nick.
Love the Irish ,great practical layout.
What are unique craft I have never seen anything quite like this and a charming gentleman I love his accent fantastic video Nick👍🇨🇦
This was a brilliant upload Nick. I loved the boat, but the owner was also an impressive guy. He's an absolute natural on camera. Could have listened to him all day, top bloke👍
Nick, this is one of the best informative videos you have done. A very down to earth practical boat which is well thought out by the owner for his family’s needs. Fantastic review & thanks to John for his candid comments. More like this if possible Nick.🙏👍
Wow I didn’t know red bay built this kind of boat. Went straight to their webpage to have a look at the range. Great video and very informative.
John that was a brilliant interview. I was glued from start to finish. I seen u on rte but this shows ur passion for boating. Nick ur videos keep getting better when u think there is no room for improvement. I was in Dartmouth, Kingswear and Brixham all as a result of watching your videos. Quality content guys much enjoyed 🤙
I have absolutely no intention of ever owning a boat but I was glued to this from start to finish. John’s commentary was so full of clearly conveyed information and great to sea a boat capable of the heavy lifting. Thanks to Nick for providing such great entertainment!
Ah go on, buy one!!!
Fantastic interview and tour. The boat manufacturer has an excellent brand ambassador.
A man I could listen to all day!
Interesting boat and owner, it’s good that he knows what he needs and has had the boat built to meet his needs.
Love that table! Cool boat too! Love this on Sunday mornings with Aquahaulic, coffee and a Bloody Mary to set me strait! Cheers from Maine!
Nick, another great meet the owner. I think its safe to say this guy loves his matresses.
Another great video - very nice guy and boy can he talk - gotta love the Irish ☘️
A great guy, a great boat, a great presenter, a great cameo, a great video. Greatness all around.
As ever, Nice Nick. Correct that, As ever, Great Nick.
P. S. I think John could sell combs to congenitally bald.
Another beautiful boat. Another fantastic gentleman. The hits keep coming.
And again, Nick did it in his very nice and charmy way: introducing us a very interesting owner and a great boat. Well done - stay tuned and all the best from Germany! I love these vids 😍!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Best meet the owner so far...!
Great to see you across the pond and even better still with the much respected John Brennan. no doubt the bed linen was by his brother :) cavernous boat too!!

A brilliant boat and a lovely chap who loves his boat. But why wouldn’t you, it looks likes an amazing boat to cruise on! Thanks Nick!
Our pleasure!
The boat is lovely. You viewers need to check out his hotels. Really beautiful. We are planning a trip to Ireland in 2023 and his hotels and location are definitely on the list.
Super interview. A privilege to see & hear. John is such a modest man deserving all his success. Long may it continue.
very nice down to earth fella i grew up 2 miles from redbay boats i used to be in around it as a kid getting fishing gear in there shop
What a beautiful boat! There is so much thought that’s been put into this and the result is stunning.
Brilliant honest interview and what a fantastic boat. Looking forward to the trip report Nick 👌
