I hadn't really paid much attention to them outside of the hits and Ghost (the song on Slash's first solo record which Ian Astbury guested on) but I recently saw them open for Alice Cooper in Glasgow and my GOD they were good. Ian has such a cool stage presence, mannerisms very like Jay from Rival Sons and I was blown away. They definitely gained a fan!

Stay strong man, you can do it. Stay the course of one foot in front of the other towards the next step of healing, whatever that is, whether doctors, meds, sleep, research, whatever it is, if you do that you'll get there. Life has a way of changing so slowly that it's imperceptible, but before you know it you're looking back from a good place proud of how strong you are. 💪

Sorry to hear about this Ed! It's very hard to keep yourself cheerful when your body is working against you, so it's important to hold on to whatever 'treats' you discover that can still make you happy. Maybe it's PlayStation, food, a pet, Justin Hawkins videos etc but do treat yourself often to try to stay upbeat 😊 Good luck with it!

Often Tasmanian artists I think. I was in there this week and found myself tapping along to a song semi-consciously. It turned out to be I Believe in a Thing Called Love. I ignored that song when it came out because too many dickheads were listening to it. Turns out to be more than a big catchy chorus - and in fact a riff monster of a song. Folks in the supermarket were unaware how blissful they were feeling all grins and rock n roll for their shop. Nice one.

@@jonathansteadman7935 yea man 100%, that's why I wrote Siouxsie / and the Banshees. It's a shame their relationship came to an end in 2007, but what an amazing legacy of creativity they left behind.

    Oh my god!
You have just highlighted something that I always thought was ‘wrong’ on Van Halen records when you talk about driving in USA v UK!
Eddie is always in the passenger’s speaker in the early VH records when in the UK and I’ve always thought it was strange and why didn’t they put Eddie in the drivers ear, but of course, they did! They have left hand drive cars so Eddie being the car fan he was, definitely thought to put his guitar through the left speaker! Bit of a duh, 🤦‍♂️ moment now I realise it!..

Yes my stepdad was in bands and I loved listening to their band practice in the basement. The walls were painted with fluorescent lights. He swears when he was young walking around carrying his guitar case the Beatles drove past him and his friends and waved.

You mentioned Ilan Rubin from Nine Inch Nails. I would highly recommend checking out his work with Angels & Airwaves (with Tom Delonge from Blink). Their most recent album Lifeforms has some really interesting choices musically.
