I am so glad that you like my freeze dried meal! Maybe someday I can jump through all the hoops and sell them. I made a “chicken” Alfredo early on when I got the freeze dryer. Maybe I will make a newer version and you can pit against your other favorite. 😁😁.

Another great vid and nice outing. Old habits die hard for me. After 24 years in the Military, I buy MRE's. Not as fancy or a great selection but they provide the calories I need. Have a great weekend!
I like mre’s and definitely want to try some authentic military ones from here inn the U.S. and other countries and see what they put in theirs. I appreciate you checking this out ☺️

Hey Marlo! What, no mangos? 😆I've never heard of freeze dried ice cream. I don't know how one would pull that off! It looked good and would like to try some sometime. One of these days I'm going to try MRE's. I've taken a look at them a few times but never tried them.
Until you mentioned it, I was wondering what the background noise was. It sounded like a pilot doing a run-up right before take off. It also sounded like ocean waves breaking at the beach. I knew it couldn't be a plane about to take off from the beach though where you were! 🛩😆I hope the downed trees are all they're clearing and they're not cutting trees there. It's too nice there for someone to get carried away tree cutting.
Now anyone can give away heated jackets in the winter! It takes nerves of steel, true grit, being tough as nails, and downright guts to do it in late spring! Just had to throw that in there! 😆
I enjoyed this day camp as always and I'm looking forward to your next video. I doubt I have ever camped like you're going to share in your next video, but we'll see. I'm sure it'll be a really nice camp out as always!

Lol. Next daycamp will be out in the quietness of the freeway at rush hour s ill set up the tarp at the toll booth! Ha ha... lol
Some mre's are quite good but most freeze dried meals have high sodium so you gotta check that out.

friend in Maine has 100yr old apple orchard-15 kinds.truckloads.nobody cares but the deer. I sliced up a few,dried them on a string. pretty good munchies but like shoe-leather
There’s so much you can do with those apples but im glad the deer are enjoying them ☺️

Marlo: why you reading my name off like you've never met a random person before? we're all over the place, you can't go anywhere without bumping into one of us, my fam is everywhere.
Thanks for the meal review, I don't have a lot of experience with freeze dried food but I have enjoyed freeze dried fruit cocktail or pears, that used to be one of the desserts in MRE's * back in the day when I was in the military.
*MRE = 3 lies in one.
MRE = Meals Rejected by Ethiopians (that was funnier back in 89', now I feel like a mean jerk saying that)

Peaks Beef stroganoff
This is a dumb question but why do I never see people bringing very inexpensive dry meals on backpacks or camping trips? Like of course the cup of soups and Ramon noddles but also the 88 cent instant flavored mash potatoes and Lipton soups? Lol Am I nuts ? For 4 bucks grab a couple beef and cheese slim Jim's and sour cream and chives mashed potatoes with some powdered brown gravy and I'm Gucci till monday. Love your style Marlo. Be safe and happy out there .
Because were all out here thinking were chefs at camp, and feel the need to make elaborate meals, lol… but in all seriousness… you’re right ☺️
@@ExplorewithmeMarloCI guess some bigger channels are sponcered by these meal companies so they push buying them but they are so pricey for what you get when you can grab a bunch of dry food options at your grocery store and powdered milk and make some things tasty for so.much less money. That would actually make for a good video. Cheap alternatives to eat while back packing . From fettuccini Alfredo to 25 cent Ramon noodles. They even take up less space in your pack unboxed and in ziplocks
