I hope you enjoy my longest video of all time O_O
we'll all be retired by the end of the video xD
Oh for sure 😊
We love long videos
@@marcstearman3672 I would enjoy any video from you, even if it was 10 hours of you talking
I'll watch it ALL
This was so surreal to finally watch that I forgot to comment. Thank you again for this legendary opportunity!
This was such a great map to watch Jordan play, thanks for making it!!!
The amount of time spent in this map is unreal!!! This map is the unique example of how an escape map should be!!! There even are chapters in this like a real separate game changer! It reminds me a bit of the game Inscryption where the game totally changes in how it works every chapter
What an amazing map!!! Since you were watching him behind the scenes, do you have some back stage footage with commentary of the playthrough? Would be fun to see your perspective of following him around and watching him solve the stages in other ways than intended. :)
@@SmallDuck11 Agreed!
This looks soo cool, you did a really good job. Is there a way to get the map, so we can play it too? And once again, amazing work!
Damn sparklez is spoiling us with a 5 hour edited video
I didn’t realized it’s 5 hour until I see this comment lol
EDITED??? ALL OF IT???
@@duuuumb Yeah, none of this was streamed. he talked about it on stream but this is the first time we've seen it
Longer probably@@user-nt9pm3vr9z
Yes
Ken killed it with this map super well made. Also sick we get a 5 hour sparkles video
lol who tf is this random ahh "seawatt gaming" guy
Hi, seawattgaming! Did you press f5 to watch this video?
(No offense)
and then I had a very good idea,
so i commented on captainsparklez video; you see, commenting on commenting on captainsparklez video gave me a whole new perspective
@@kaabagaming4885true fan
@@soisaus564clear you don't know, but same with me, until I pressed f5. F5 gave me a whole new perspective and I was able to see that he is a turtle.
1:10:16 Of course Jordan would manage to break the map in a way Ken had never even seen before
Jordan is just that unlucky.
and only an hour in!
I love Ken's "uhh"
6:46 but then CaptainSparklez had a very good idea, he used f5. See, using f5 gave him a whole new perspective and he was able to see blocks he couldn't see before
Is this a Dr. Seuss inspired quote XD?
@@Emory_is_my_name no, its a running joke on the Kenadian channel

Haha
I have been thinking about this quote since it said Kenadian made this map XD@@graygravity3856
Brother Ken deserves a huge round of applause because he singlehandedly kept Minecraft in life support for a few more hours. Your year of work is heavily appreciated!

Hip hip hooray! For minecraft Captian Sparkles!
@@user-bm4ud4ie9j hooray!
I just imagine Kenadian’s heart sinking for a moment after you announce retiring minecraft
Only on this channel tho, captainsparklez 2 will still have minecraft content
“REALLY?!?!?!? I SPENT A YEAR WORKING ON THIS!” 😂
It was an honor
and a bit of a pain as well :3
I haven’t watched the vid yet but if it’s a 5 hour vid that he decided to upload on the main channel then good job on the map
Thanks for helping make it m8
Is there a map link if we want to play ourselves?
@@garyk3943 soon (TM)
This map is amazing, it kind of reminds me of Portal 1 and 2 in a way where you start in small rooms and eventually escape due to a malfunction in the system, and you walk around the facility trying to find an escape and going through the old testing chambers
Kenadian is a BIG Portal fan, so he was probably inspired by those games!
This whole map is giving me major Portal vibes. Kenadian is a map maker of good taste.
Exactly my thoughts
The whole "thank you for choosing to participate in our involuntary experiment" is also very Portal.
@@anirishgoosealso "In case of flood stare directly at flood" is basically a 1:1 rip from Portal 2
this is an amazing sendoff to minecraft maps on the main channel, huge props to ken and crew!
how dare you fireball me
yo gamer boy
A 5 hour main channel video is crazy. I love it.
Especially since it’s edited
This makes me happy. So glad your final map video is something made for you, and a long one at that. Reminds me of the days of old.
It’s not a final map video though it is on this channel but he still is playing maps on his second channel captain sparklss 2
@@petergabriel8961
Yeah, that is what I meant, sorry for the confusion. I originally typed "final map" which would have been even worse.
gotta be careful on internet, people are ready to correct you lol
@@dingaia nothing wrong with being wrong, people take being corrected too personally :)
@@dingaia Oh, I know, I am one of the people who corrects others. That is why everyime someone corrects me I try to kindly respond.
Damn this might be the last minecraft map jordan ever plays
U dumb ? He retired Minecraft from this channel not from the second channel.
Well, on this channel, yes.
Seems like a great send off for maps on this channel
I’ll still be streaming them and uploading vods to @captainsparklez2
@@CaptainSparklez yeah captain that's what I informed too ❤️
"But then I had a very good idea. I used F5. See, using F5 gave me a whole new perspective, allowing me to see things I wasn't able to before"
Seriously though, awesome Minecraft map. Kenadian + Captain Sparklez? Awesome combo. Many thanks to all of you!
Not sure if he figured this out or not but at 1:28:20 Jordan is confused about water freezing and melting. Normal ice only turns back into water when punching it if there is a block below it. I think thats how its always been i remember it being like that in the early skyblock days
yeah he figures it out later in the video (with some hints)
the original 3x3 map was also one of my favorite maps from back in the day, so much so that i still find myself going back to every now and then, so im happy to see another map like it finally be made
1:10:09 Jordan the tester has returned
I appreciate that he refused to kill the fox

3:39:21 Button ASMR
Man, what a long and complex map! The testing and brainstorming must have taken ages. Congratulations to Jordan for finishing it, it was a very hard map, with some super tricky solutions at times. And congratulations to the creators for making it happen.
I hope we viewers can prove that such a long video can get decent viewership. It was one of the most engaging escape map playthroughs that I watched, usually, it's not as much my thing as adventure maps, but for this one, I watched it fully, giving it all my attention.
2:11:55 Tilde oh no
I mean in kenadians Livestream they said, kenadian and wato the main builders took 8 months
I mean they only upload videos to their channels like once every 6 months so as a fan the difference wasn't that noticable xD
@@THEJPIndustrywe did an insane amount of testing, initially the map was around 15 hours of raw playtime and way more difficult
What's the world download! I want to play this first and then watch Jordan play it afterwards!
Me too! i really hope they release it because I want to watch his solve too!!
THAT TOOK 13 HOURS TO PLAYTEST!!! MY GOD FINALLY
And yet it took captain sparkles less then 2 gours to break it
@@THEJPIndustry i playtested an older, HARDER version of the map, I did not playtest the exact version that Jordan played. I did cause *some* of the pain in this map cause i had cheesed the ending
@@_EchoingVoid_trust me you were most definitely not the only one that broke the ending 😅
Just finished the video, what a map this was! I can only imagine how many hours went into developing it. If this map is/ever becomes available to download I’ll definitely have to play it. Like this is my kind of challenge map. One where you must think outside of the box and use game mechanics/facts about the game that most people don’t even pay attention to.
do you know if it available to download now?
Wow, I had forgotten about CS for a long time, and then a 5 hour video pops up on the feed?! I am now going to watch a Minecraft video right now as a grown ass adult.
no such thing as overboard when conserving blocks. Ken has a whole series on debunking escape rooms where he conserves resources to solve them in unanticipated ways, so his puzzles likely use unexpected solutions.
I started watching this when it released and just finished it because of my horrible attention span, but will say every second was worth it. Thanks for all the amazing Minecraft content over all these years

Kenadian the cat boi is a king for building this map and of course a very insane amount of time this map video is. I'm determined watching this one before vods video.
The portal 2 vibes from this map were immaculate. An incredible video, watched all 5 hours, and I'll miss this content so much. I hope that the switch in content styles is good for your mental health, cap
48 minutes in...this is definitely a watch in parts. So far amazing.
I love how half the time it’s just “will this item drop drop where I want it to?” 😂
What a sendoff. Thanks Jardon for all the years of content, and thanks of course to the mapmakers. Just the hardcore series left now...
He's still gonna upload minecraft stuff on his second channel.
@@Virginny i know, i know. It doesn't feel the same though, editing makes it much more of an active watch for me. Stream vods are often just too long to watch actively instead of just passively consuming on the side
@@Pikachu0071000CS ah ok i get that
@@Virginny yeah, since the mianite days it's been a bit annoying for me that I just could not keep up with the streams lol, especially for episodic content. Usually when I watch vods it's self contained stuff like among us or maps
He’s still uploading lmao
Jardon: "So, I'm hanging up my coat for Minecraft"
Kenadian: "Oh, btw, here's your Minecraft map you wanted us to spend two years on"
Jardon: "MY WHAT?!"
For the second channel, there's actually a survival challenge modpack called "compact claustrophobia." I think you'd enjoy it if you haven't played it already
it's so old though, 1.12
I should probably check that out again, thanks for reminding me!
@@geekjokes8458 who cares if its old? i still prefer 1.7.10 packs over these new packs, tinkers construct is king until 1.13+ where it just entirely kills off crossbows shurikens and then nerfs how all the items work and how to get levels, no more instabreaking obsidian with a infinite durability pickaxe without cheating, thaumcraft sucks after 1.13 and same with other tech mods, go play some tekkit legends or something, good old classic modpack.
Love how towards the 4 hour mark the "gods" have just gotten so frustrated with you over looking or over thinking things to the point they're throwing hints at you xDDDD
Shoutout to everyone involved in making this. It's actually insane
I feel like Portal games were a huge inspiration for this map, very cool
Both the setting and the cake at the end of the 3x3 section feels like dead giveaways for the inspiration. Also, I think Symphony of The Night is another inspiration because of the whole upside down thing at the end
I literally heard the song "Portal 2 : Vitrification Order" the moment Jordan saw the wide open area at the start of Chapter 2. Specifically the beat drop at 2:24 or so.
Actually come to think of it, I don't know which song in particular I heard, all I know is that I heard one of the Old Aperture Outskirts themes. (So not the "You are not a part of the control group" song that plays with the gel chambers)
Jordan really made sure that the possibly last edited video of a minecraft map on the main channel would be one to remember! 😂
Bro got one message from captainsparklez and worked for a year straight
ok this is 10/10 knowing Ken was just there in the map with you the WHOLE TIME
Kenadian has got to be one of my favourite content creators ever, so cool to see some of his work here
when playtesting this it took us around 12 hours, little bit of context
Is the map available anywhere for download? As great as CS vids are I much prefer solving puzzles myself...
@@alexmidyett7749 idk i havent checked- but knowing ken he will prob release it sometime
did u ever find it?@@alexmidyett7749
A few minutes in, I'm already loving it. Sparklez is obviously smart but some of the classic techniques that people forget (escape rooms aren't survival, so you can break blocks! you can punch ice to get water! etc) are taught to you in such a way that it's an interesting little puzzle + teaches you the mechanic. It's like learning from a good teacher
This video deserves all the likes it can get, dude this is crazy, huge props to the mapmaker!
this was a wild ride and ngl got a little teary at the end. Huge huge huge props to the map makers and all of the hard work they put into this.
icl this might be the best map ive ever seen. i stopped watching these types of videos a few years ago, but honestly they're still fun to watch and they give me so much nostalgia.
Water mechanics:
If there is a block beneath the ice, water will flow.
If there is air or a non solid block beneath the ice, the block will break and disappear.
That part where it’s revealed that the 3x3 cubes are important later on 🤯 I thought it would be over after that, then I looked at the timeline and saw another 2 hours
After watching the whole thing i can say: it was beautiful it feels like a great finale to all of the minecraft maps that jordan has ever done, and the ending hit wayyyy harder than it should have, but i guess the adventure map journey comes to a close, and what a great wayfor it to do so. Thank you jordan for all the content and nostalgia over the years all the amazing maps servers people series you have done. Thanks
What the hell... In one vid, a single map.
Looking forward to a whole week of Sparklez map content to watch.
Although I already know that I'm not going to be able to limit myself to 1hour/day, so this video will take maybe about 3 days xD.
Your grunts when you jump sound like Sam Sulek 😂
Why are you here with 10 likes?
glad to see jardon using f5 to get a whole new perspective
Haven’t watched one of your escape room videos since I was a preteen, I must say it was quite refreshing being able to follow along since back then I thought you were the smartest person in the world whenever you figured the steps out 😂
"we gotta watch our uses on the trident" - proceeds to break all the glass blocks with it
The occasional cave sounds make this map seem a bit spookier than it actually is lol. Great video!
Oh so that's where kenadian has been for the last year..
This is not just a map, it's a fucking game! With environmental storytelling, dialogs (well monologues) and a world lore and story behind it. And the playtime is more than Portal even. It's incredible!
this is a super interesting puzzle map that jogged my brain. gonna have to watch this in 2 parts though... finished at the 3hr mark 1st and love everything so far!!
"I'm retiring minecraft from the main channel"
*Proceeds to upload the longest mc video ever recorded on the main channel*
Just finished watching the whole thing. With all the small cuts I'm wondering how long it actually took to finish. Also without the hints from the developers it might have been to hard to finish, but all in all still a great map! Definitely worth watching ^^
I think he mentioned 10 hours of footage in a previous video.
had a super tedious task at work today where I needed enough brain power that I didn't want to listen to a podcast or commentary video but needed something long and calming to zone out to and this huge map video is JUST what I needed thank you
this was so fun to watch!! felt engaged the whole time, map makers should feel proud of themselves, this was so fun!!!
Is there a download for this map anywhere? After the first half hour of it I really want to play it, so I want to do that before watching the rest.
I'm in the same boat, except I stopped watching at the start of Chapter 3.
If anyone finds out that Kenadian uploaded it (Presumably after making a trailer with some map refinements if they *are* going to make it public) be sure to come back to this comment and remind us.
Cause I don't know if it's the flashbacks to many other Minecraft maps / mods / plugins like LogDotZip or Dream, but I personally don't really like things that look really cool to experience yourself, but then it turns out that it was made *just* for a single youtube video and never to be touched again. Not saying it's a *bad* thing persay, I just don't particularly enjoy it.
commenting so i get notified if someone finds a download
hopefully one comes out, someone reply if it goes public
same replying for when its released
Same, please Reply when released
Jordan not knowing how breaking ice works is painful to watch but still fun :p
What a truly incredible map and such a fun watch, quite sad it's over now, been getting through it over the last 3-4 days
Incredible, wow! That was some heck of a map, I watched this video in 2 rounds. Excellent map, interesting all the way through and also very unpredictable :-)
Beautiful end with the music and the light of a fresh start on life, ready on new adventures...
Cut down the tree and set sails to the nearest island for new Minecraft achievements!
can you download this map?
I've officially watched the full thing. What a journey!
This was the best 5 hours of entertainment I’ve ever had!
Thank you Jardon for this video. I’m currently stuck in the hospital with a collapsed lung, and watching your video really helps kill time ❤ (while also being enjoyable hehe)
Finally, a map that gives me "The Code" vibes. It's one of my favorite series.
strong contender for *the code 4*
30:40 i might be missing something here, but can't he just put the piston on the bottom facing up to get himself in a crouch and win?
I literally just came to the comments to see if anyone else was thinking this. Haven't tried it to see if that actually works, but that's definitely what I was thinking
Not in the way you think. It will clip into you without crawling, but you can move to the side and crawl between the base and head of the piston. It would then be one block too low, maybe it could still be useful though?
I’m at 3:37:48 and I have to say I’ve been absolutely loving watching you solve these puzzles! Awesome puzzles and awesome host :] I usually fast-forward videos, but you have me rewinding haha
In this video, we learn the Captain doesn't know breaking floating ice by hand does not produce a floating water block. It needs to have a non-air block directly underneath the ice block.
You could have just said how the ice works. Didn't need to be condescending.
1:10:13 This again proves that Jardoon breaks every map he plays 😂😂
Good lord the amount of Minecraft trickery you need to know for navigating this map. Absolutely insane...well done, Captain!
I would never be able to finish this map because I would literally never know where I'm going
You gotta appreciate Ken for patiently monitoring the entire thing
About an hour into the video and I love the portal vibes this map is giving off
As a Kenadian fan, I can confirm you should have pressed F5 to get a whole new perspective.
I'll miss your puzzle and adventure map videos they are my favorites and have been for a long time. It's so nice to come back to them after a while :)
This is so coolllll 💙💙 damn that maps badass!! It's my first time watching one of ur vids in ages and I'm so glad I did this is friggin awesome. Imma stick around for upcoming videos 👍
5 hours of escape room? let's go!
Jardan: *is in an escape room*
also Jardan: 11:25 - :33
Man chapter 2 reminds me of portal so much. This is incredible. A work of art. Amazing job, Kenadian, CaptainSparklez, and everyone who worked on this for this incredible map and video!
This could have been a series but Jardon blesses us with a 5 hour master piece!
You know it's going to be a great video if it's from CaptainSparklez, the map is made by Kenadian who is one of the best escape map makers ever, and the video is over 5 hours long!!!
shoutouts to the dev's willpower not to interrupt with hints, it feels very much like a natural solo minecraft vid
he's played almost every escape room map in existance, kenadian is a legend :)
I'm always confused about how people miss the little optimizations. Example: You learned you can place the lever on the side of the piston, and that it will trigger briefly then break the lever. Every time after that where you had to activate a piston you could've done that same thing, which would save you breaking the lever, and the second flip of the lever when you were pulling blocks. Doesn't make the video any less fun or entertaining to watch, I'm just always surprised when people miss that kind of detail.
How can I download this map?
Ok, let gather around. We need a lot of mappers to build more excellent maps, this will make Jordan "unwillingly" to "come back from retirement".
Let's peer pressure hiiimmmm. And put a button on the head.
44:13 "You're such an idiot!" Had me rolling loool
This was a amazing video from start to end.
Kenadian and others, amazing work on the map.
You can break iron doors with your fist?
HOBOY here it is! Time to sit back and see yall in five hours!
Watch in double speed so it's 2 and a half instead.
damn son this is crazy. Might take me a while to finish lol. thanks for the great video jardon! Loving it so far
I watch these long videos over a few days before sleep. Greatly enjoyed
Is there a world download for this? I'd really like to try it for myself!
hello sparkles, im glad this is finally completed!
6:47 and then I had a great idea: I used F5. It gave me a whole new perspective so I could see things I couldn’t before.
Spending days watching your content and I am so happy to say I've been here for so long and I have been able to watch you grow as i did from a kid watching your videos to an adult watching your videos. I'm happy to be able to re watch your videos and metaplays, see you in the original tree house, see you find jerry, watch the prop hunt and the hunger games, watch the many hours of Mianite and Mianite 2 (i know Mianite 3 is coming) and have the happy feeling of nostalgia and the sadness feeling of it being over. I made my user name because of you, albeit the changes are not as hidden as I had hoped at 9. I enjoy Minecraft because of you, and I enjoy gaming with friends because of you. You have influenced me much more than I care to admit and I'm so excited to see where you go with the future of this channel. I say on behalf of everyone who has been here for as long or shorter than I have that we love you Jardoon.
also amazing map by Ken this is fire
Captain should play all those puzzle games that the minecraft maps hes played were based on. Its not minecraft related so the retirement would not be a lie.
