Electrolux ergorapido not working with the brush attached- battery dying, motor stopping

- I was about to get rid of my beautiful handy vacuum cleaner because it would die seconds after I turned it on. I'm so happy to have solved the issue. it's good as new now! I noticed that I'm saying the name of the lubricant wrong but you can see it so I guess it's okay. :)
I can't believe it. You really helped me fixied my vacuum cleaner. I have the same problem with the roller being stuck.
When I turn it on, the wheel that was supposed to turn was stuck. So I take off the roller and turn the vacuum on. To my surprise, a clump of hair was unlodge from the wheel.
From then on my problem was solve but I took some liberty to take off the head of the vacuum by unscrewing 9 screws at the bottom of the head and cleaned everything inside it to make sure no more dust gets clogged.
Anyway, I just want to let you know, your video saved my wedding gift that my wife and i received. It was easy to follow and it was useful. Thank you again sooo much!!!

Thank you so much. I too was ready to give up. I use this vacuum in my camper and I couldn't understand why it wasn't working. I didn't have hair in it, but the side with the little rotating nut just was rotating real slow and I sprayed some WD40 on it and it works! I'm so happy and I loved your video😊 We all have to start somewhere and look at how much you helped so many.

I have same issue. I first thought it must be battery but the motor ran so crisp that I Intuitively thought it cant be the battery. Then I saw your video and immediately realized the real problem. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I would never have figured this out. I thought it was the button on the main unit because the Dustbuster worked on its own. Sure enough the roller brush was not rotating. I took mine out to clean and there was no hair. It’s only a month & half old. So I put WD40 on it. Brush still wouldn’t start spinning. So I had to push the brush around with my hand a bit to get it moving, perhaps the oil needed a good spin first. Turned it on and it worked!
I can tell just from this video, that you are a very clever and considerate person... You are Awesome and you make this World, a better place...

Thank I noticed that my brush was not turning I did what you said didn't have any hair but when I put some RP7 it worked. Thank you I was at Good guys and I told the man that my brush is not working so he asked how long did you buy this vaccum so I bought it 6 years ago. I nearly was going to buy one today. I have an AEG QX9 which has the EXACT same problem: hand unit alone working perfect but as soon I clicked it in the machine stopped. Happend this morning and I couldn’t find any solution to fix it. We clean filters and brush every week, so that was not the problem. The vacuum cleaner is just 1,5 yo and I was already looking for new one (another brand, grrr 😉). But first I tried UA-cam again and instead of AEG, which is Electrolux AEG actually, I searched for “Electrolux cordless vacuum cleaner repair”, and there was you! 😀 Not exact the same vacuum-cleaner, but the hair hidden on the brush… Yes, that was the same! I removed the dogs hair (it was not melted yet) and did some WD-40 on the other side of the nozzle where the brush goes. And the thing just works again!😁

Thank you so much for sharing. I'd cleared the brush of hair and released a lot of hair from the far end brush recess, but I thought the other end of the brush was sealed. I am so pleased to see it wasn't and, like others, removing this end and clearing out the hair and dust has fixed the issue. Thank you once again!

Thanks for doing this video. I had exactly the same issue. The hand piece on its own worked perfectly but I wasn't able to use it with the main body of the cleaner for more than a couple of seconds. With mine there was a small rock stuck in the brush. Now that the rock is out it's woking perfectly. I no longer need to bend down to vacuum my floor and I don't need to buy a new vacuum cleaner. Yee Har. I was going to do a video on the fix but your video covers the subject perfectly. :)
