Great news. Recently in the pune pen show, I had a great luck to meet Mr.Arun Singhi from Lotus. A great enthusiastic person even at this age. I am really excited to see these three new Surekha pens. Congratulations. Kudos. Keep up the good work. Good luck.
@inkedhappiness that’s cool. Thank you for sharing. As you know there are many companies brought back to life just because a name has a legacy but I think that commitment and personal connection makes it special.
in the 80's Pelikan was in talks with Sulekha for ink projects, a collaboration, perhaps ... their delegation was at the Sulekha factory and on the first day things went well. the next day, when the documents were to be signed, there was a flash strike by the workers, which had ultimately led to Sulekha's closure that had lasted for almost three decades. naturally, the collaboration never happened :)
@@AndrewWertheimer yes he is. he is the grandson of the founders. an engineer by profession, he was called back from canada to fight through the legal maze and restart the company :)
Sir you ain't looking as healthy as you used to look earlier, I can understand old age brings it toll but please take care of yourself 😊. Thank you always for bringing such videos to us.
thank you for your kind words. i was hospitalised, and had to undergo a medical procedure. but with your wishes, am out now.. hope to keep the videos running :)
@@inkedhappiness take good care of yourself sir , I pray that you make a speedy recovery and get as fit as you were in your prime years🙏. You always make the best videos for us and help us with all our doubts and problems regarding fountain pens, thank you for this always!!
Sir, the news of the co branded pens is great..... but with Lotus n Sulekha coming together one thing is going to be sure that the pen is going to be costly and usually out of reach for most of the fountain pen enthusiasts....... two expensive brands coming together to create something more expensive....... I know how much you love Sulekha but I wonder who wanted a Sulekha pen..... and that too a costly one.......
@@inkedhappiness sir, we already have Click, Kanwrite and several others in affordable price range and they are quite good....... Lotus was already there in costlier range........ if the collaboration with Sulekha makes the pens even more expensive than they already were then what's unique other than the novelty factor....... coming together and making something affordable would have been better so that more and more people would have bought the pens and got hold of a Sulekha pen....... but sadly that's not going to happen.......
Outstanding News! Congratulations!

This is very exciting! I have a Sulekha Damodar, and I shall be adding to that with one (or more) of these pens.
Hurricane after-effect is causing internet connectivity problems. Did video mention when and where the new pens will be available?
hope all is well after the hurricane.... the pens will be available soon :)
Its really great to hear such news ;
May i know by when would the collaborative range of lotus and shulekha be launched in the market ?
hopefully very soon
Is there a second part to this video? It kind of ended abruptly.
you are right, the full video is not uploading... my bad
Where's the link to buy it?
I also was wondering what you two stated to discuss about Pelikan and Sulekha in the 1980s.
Looks like lovely pens. I don’t have a Lotus pen.
somehow, that part of the conversation got deleted...
@@inkedhappinessmaybe someday you can tell us as it seems like interesting history even though depressing.

@@inkedhappiness that is a long strike. Thanks for the rest of the details. Is the gentleman who restarted Sulekha a relative of the owning family?

Lotus pens are very expensive 😅
Yes. They use Nikko ebonite from
Japan which is expensive than Indian ebonite. Hence the price difference
Isn't Sulekha damodar same as Beena Vsign forte?
the pens are made by Been / V'Sign for sure, though they are not really the same.
When will the pens launch... And can I get them from the official Sulekha website? Please inform
they are almost ready for the launch and yes. they will be available from the website.

Sulekha is also collaborating with engineering institutions for other, affordable ranges
