@@desertplantsofavalon just started getting into succulents,is there a web site showing how big these plants can grow to?I live outside of Amarillo Tx,southern high plains desert zone 7a,and I just bought some succulents in 3 inch pots and building another container desert looking design would like to know how big these plants will get too,any info you can give me will help me decide how to plant my container thank you

That was a long trek across the Emerald Isle:- I can see why you both chose to split the travelling over two days and stay overnight, rather than rush it through. A commendable effort given its January blues all round and not the most pleasant out there. Hans is looking chirpy as always. You both came back with more than I anticipated!. Whilst many of them look quite petite and hard to identify from the video alone, it looks like they're mostly succulents of various types. Will look forward to your next contribution to find out!.

How you keep those tall cactus alive over winter? Do you have somekind lights for those or are those just under regular roomlights and light from window? All my tall cacti got problems everytime when i tryed to keep em in room without good extralight at winter. I have no problen to give more light for my cactus. I have lot of growlights (high prussure sodium, metal highlight, leds etc) but its not maybe best light colour for room where we are living.😅
Hi Arto :-D yes we have additional grow lights and a large overhead full spectrum white strip light over the ceiling to give them additional lighting as they are a bit too far from the window than ideal, but when the sun comes through on sunny days they get the sun coming across onto them, but in the Spring and Summer months we keep them outside in the garden, yes LOL! our other grow lights are pink and purple and add a very funny colour in our other rooms haha :-D thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching and sending lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER from across the Emerald Isle for a marvellous Monday XXXX

A lovely little road trip for the two of you and quite a collection you got there! I was looking at your nice hotel room thinking how weird it is to stay in a place with no plants and just then Hans made his comment about no cacti - that's what's really strange when you surround yourself with plants in your home, you can't imagine not having something green around you. That was a trip well worth taking and your new arrivals will be very happy in their new home! : -)

Wow what a great bunch of succulents you brought home and what a fun trip. I tried to catch the part about the beans. Did you purchase the beans and eat them in the hotel reasturant? I am also vegan and eating while traveling is always a challenge. I thought your breakfast was really a great idea. Cactus power!!!!!!!
So happy to read that you are also a vegan Debra :-D thats fantastic news, and going vegan 9 years ago was the best thing that I ever have done. We asked the Hotel if they did a Vegan option for Breakfast and they did, there was lots of choice from fruit to cereals and soya and almond milks and toast and Jam and baked beans and tomatoes and baked potatoes too, they had it all there already, a few years ago though when we were on holiday etc we have to bring food in for breakfast if they didn't do vegan options but now we find that almost every hotel does cater for Vegans thank goodness :-D thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching and sending lots of love and happiness and VEGAN and PLANT POWER from across the Emerald Isle for a marvellous Monday XXXX
@@desertplantsofavalon I have been vegan over 25 years and never regretted it. My Doctor watches my vitamin count to make sure I never lack in anything so I'll know what foods I needs to bulk up on. I love animals.

ParkMarky I knew it was beans. Sorry, I should have been more specific. I wanted to know what kind of beans. I thought it was interesting. I have never seen that combination before today. I might try it sometime.
