After diagnosing the Cheap $1,400 Salvage Auction Range Rover with a bad head gasket, we went and tried a stop leak sealer product, to only have a ton of other issues. Can we save it, or should we just send it back to the junkyard?

And coolant stop leak does nothing but clog your radiator, heater core and thermostat. It might work temporarily for about month on headgaskets, if you’re lucky, but then you’ll spend the rest of your ownership of the vehicle having overheating issues.

I remember when I was homeless, it is no fun being homeless, the hardest part about being homeless is trying to smell fresh smelling and to give the appearance that you are not homeless. I had gotten a job at JCPenneys Warehouse and I was so happy that I was finally going to get in to get out of being homeless and I got terminated within the first week and a half because people didn't want to work with me because I smelled horrible and I did my best to freshen up. I was working to get a paycheck and I was going to buy shampoos with my paycheck, it's a horrible thing being homeless. But I'm not homeless anymore I have a, I live in a two-bedroom apartment and I get a disability because I have autism and I'm also bipolar so but overall I'm not homeless anymore and I prayed my way out of being homeless and I never asked a bag to anybody for money because being homeless was my problem

@@KevinFields777 I used the $35 bottle on my Impala's 3400, probably same engine you have. It does not require draining the coolant, just drop it in. Took a few days of running it 30 minutes to circulate before it stopped blowing white smoke. That was 8 years and 35K miles ago, still runs just fine. I probably had a small head gasket leak, the 3400s are iron blocks with aluminum heads, the different expansion rates break the gaskets at high mileage (190K for me). If you overheated bad, then heads are probably bad. Those engines are dirt cheap and plentiful, I'd just replace it entirely.

Hey Sam, only disconnecting the coil packs wont have any affect on the pressure in those cylinders it will just cause it not to fire, and you will be dumping raw fuel into those cylinders and out the exhaust to then damage the catalytic converters. If you want to lower the cylinder pressure in the cylinders with the head gasket damage you have to give the pressure somewhere else to go. Unplug the fuel injectors to those two cylinders, unplug the coil packs, and remove the spark plugs. Put some shop rags over the holes to hopefully catch most of the coolant/oil mix that might come out. This will have those two cylinders completely dead while you're waiting on the sealer to work. it will also have zero compression on those two, and might give you the best odds of the sealer working since it will not be putting cylinder compression pressures into the cooling system.

This issue is air pressure in the coolant system. When you have fixed the blown hose, undo the hose that runs from the radiator to the expansion tank, and pull the hose away from the rad. With the engine running, the air will bleed out of the system via the radiator expansion hose outlet, continue to bleed until you get a good uninterrupted flow of coolant then reconnect the hose to the expansion tank and refit the expansion cap. This will permit you to attempt to use the sealant, you will probably need a new bottle of sealant, as you will loose the majority of the chemicals during the coolant system bleed process. By the way, using the sealant means that this whole engine will effectively be toast, if it was not already past its sell by date already.
