All Shannon was trying to do was have her look at it from another perspective. She self diagnosed with Asperger. Normally you get those diagnosis early because you will show the signs when ur a kid not adulthood. If they missed it when u were a kid maybe they misdiagnosed her. She needs to be evaluated not just told u have it. I think she wants that diagnosis to justify her actions instead of taking accountability. Blame shifting. Now if people telling her she’s difficult to work with maybe she is and rather call a white person racist instead of taking accountability. So when the white journalist stated you can’t validate someone else’s experience when the question was more about responding to negative behavior that is commonly and/or obviously racist behavior by description or definition, that’s when there’s a problem. The black female journalist appeared to offer the same response to her colleague as Shannon offered in the interview in question.

The autism explains Amanda’s no filter. I have a niece and 2 nephews with autism. They have that blunt way of expressing themselves. So, I understand her brilliance and why she may be less diplomatic than other people. She is gonna call a spade a spade with no sugar coating and doesn’t care about offending anyone.
