The only major thing that this game and TTT have in common is the idea of having a hidden identity and a traitor. There are loads of other board games that do the same thing: Resistance, Shadows over Camelot, Dead of Winter, Betrayal at House on the Hill, and probably some other I can't think of.
@@EightThreeEight betrayalAHONTH is arguable whether it truly fits the category as you are never actually functioning as a hidden traitor you just openly become it part way through the game and even in the lore of the game only some of the haunts have you having been secretly evil and lot you get controlled or killed and become evil at that point half way through
Ben (Edgar) never actually says that you do. He just very strongly suggests it and persuades Pyrion to sacrifice the nuke rather than taking a relatively minor penalty. In other words, Ben = Cylon = Confirmed! :)
MUCH much better longer format than the old fuckin 16min episodes of board games where you couldnt even have any time to get into it or understand wtf was going on before the video was over. Thank you.
Ya, usually Baltar is an almost instant Brig in most games. He'll have 3 of the 11 cards by the end. 3 chances to get 2 cards when there's only 11 cards in play. Fairly high chance of Cylonery.
classic lewis immedietly making himself insanly suspiscious by trying to murder a quarter of the human race for functionally zero reason and then be baffled that everyone suddenly thinks hes a cylon XD
I literally binge the first 4ish seasons because I didn't want too many spoilers. Unfortunately I don't really like the show, but I love the game! The show definitely adds a lot to the enjoyment of the game.
My only experience with this game is watching the Co-optional crew play it and Crendor sent himself to the brig 🤣 Looking forward to watching a less incompetent crew!
if you like the game you guys should try Twilight Imperium next. amazing game, takes a while to learn though. very big game. very fun though.i would recomend playing with the expansion though as it fixes an issue with the original.
Always take the Raiders out before the Heavy Raiders! You only need to worry about them when they board, but there's cards to deal with them when they do...
Can't believe nobody else picked up on Lewis's lie here. "They're all basically the same" he says, keeping it vague, then he asks how many Deep Space cards are in the deck, and when he finds out it's possible, says they were all exactly the same. He changed his story, total lie. Now to watch the rest of this and find out Lewis isn't a cylon...
By the way there is a rule you are not allowed to use numbers during crisis checks. You can only say "I will help alot" "I won't help much" "I can't help". I understand you are new and you have fun with it so I don't mind just wanted to say it :D Also will you be doing the expansion boards? :D
I don't know much about this game, but, whenever the word "MAY" is on a card, doesn't mean that effect is optional? I mean, otherwise, it would say "must? "
side note: iirc you're not supposed to reveal the values or colors of the cards you intend to play in a crisis (they do this at the start). That's so no one can be sure if they will pass the check or not.
Yeah, Why is a nuke needed to make the equivilant of a traitor tester? Wouldn't blood tests do just as well? Is it obvious I've never watched the show?
Just like the show? So people are dying on you and you're getting depressed and faithless and being betrayed by both human and Cylon alike? Good stuff.
A friend played without watching the show, and she caught pretty well after a game or two. It looks really intimidating, but the gameplay is pretty simple. Some of the mechanics hint at events in the show, though.
You can not say the number on your card. You can only say if its high or low. That is the only thing you can say. Not even it's colour. Look it up in the game rules.
Lewis's character is either the main character or the love interest right? I know nothing about Battlestar but those stats mixed with the names of her abilities make it seem that way...
I hadn't played this before, but had heard so many good things about it. What an absolute stellar game! Hope ya'll enjoy this!
I see what you did there! It is a(n) (inter)stellar game, isn't it? :D
I just have top give props to the editing, with all the contextual and relevant information. Great stuff, thank you!
Im still not over Crendor Brigging himself in this game like 2 years ago
Oh my god, i almost forgot about that. That was the moment i lost it and couldn't stop laughing.
Crendor is the eternal MVP of this game.
I DIDNT KNOW
I went to look at the video, and I don't get it. If Crendor was orange, he didn't put any cards in the pool. How did he put himself in the brig?
i know Im pretty off topic but do anyone know a good place to watch newly released movies online ?
"There was no control group!" Brilliant line Lewis.
Actually a pretty neat game and I've never even watched battlestar galactica. Pyrion's "resistance has been crushed" did me a laugh.
Battlestar seems like a less organized version of TTT... and i like it
like a boardgame ss13

You don't have to have the "Build a Cylon Detector" event to use Gaius's once-per-game ability.
Ben Grace So the card just fucks the Admiral then?
That's why they're called Crisis Cards.
Ben (Edgar) never actually says that you do. He just very strongly suggests it and persuades Pyrion to sacrifice the nuke rather than taking a relatively minor penalty. In other words, Ben = Cylon = Confirmed! :)
Well no, it fucks all the humans. The Admiral just decides how.
MUCH much better longer format than the old fuckin 16min episodes of board games where you couldnt even have any time to get into it or understand wtf was going on before the video was over. Thank you.
Ballsy choice having the most experienced player playing the shifty guy with the highest chance of being a traitor.
Ya, usually Baltar is an almost instant Brig in most games. He'll have 3 of the 11 cards by the end. 3 chances to get 2 cards when there's only 11 cards in play. Fairly high chance of Cylonery.
yeah strange choice
I allways play him because its so much fun xD
I used to play this with our group, but we had to stop because everyone started hating eachother with the burning passion of a thousand suns.
Board game will do that to you. Espeacially these "Co-op" games :)
Maybe they shouldn't be acting like a damn cylon
Lmao someone didn't eat their Cheerios before commenting...
+casey hudson I totally read that is Saul's voice hahahaha
Scott Ogburn are you ok?
Lewis: "He's roleplaying, you gotta pick your body type"
*Lewis plays as a female*
I guess so.
This is literally my favorite board game. Oh my gosh yes~!
if you haven't seen it you should watch the co-optional lounge play it, some of those plays
Oh yea I totally did, good ol crendor :P
I've never seen the series. Gonna watch anyway. For me, the Yogscast isn't about the game, or the gameplay, it's about their interactions.
=D
You would have to be new here to come for gameplay lol
“He needs some milk”
thank you for putting this out now, this is an amazing idea for a Christmas present!
It’s funny, the characters they choose matched them all pretty well, made this even better
Such a fantastic game!!! More please!
classic lewis immedietly making himself insanly suspiscious by trying to murder a quarter of the human race for functionally zero reason and then be baffled that everyone suddenly thinks hes a cylon XD

Lewis- we are gonna forget about this crisis. Ben- i’m not gonna let you. Hmmmmmmm. Ben, that sounds like something a cylon would say.
My only experience with this game is watching the Co-optional crew play it and Crendor sent himself to the brig 🤣
Looking forward to watching a less incompetent crew!

I'm glad they show the cards, but they are such low quality that even with a magnifying glass it's hard to make out the text.
Must be a problem with your screen. I can still read them on my 720p smartphone.
Every time I've played this with my friends, President Gaius Baltar has been a Cylon.
I love this board game.
Always take the Raiders out before the Heavy Raiders! You only need to worry about them when they board, but there's cards to deal with them when they do...
Ayeeee Mark with the achievement hunter shirt (unless my eyes are playing tricks on me)
Hardly watched this show but I really need to get around to watching it.
They can't loose with Bodega on the team!
My local board game cafe had this and mysterium and we played the shit out of this.
Can't believe nobody else picked up on Lewis's lie here. "They're all basically the same" he says, keeping it vague, then he asks how many Deep Space cards are in the deck, and when he finds out it's possible, says they were all exactly the same. He changed his story, total lie.

Fracking toasters, when the hell are we getting away
By the way there is a rule you are not allowed to use numbers during crisis checks. You can only say "I will help alot" "I won't help much" "I can't help". I understand you are new and you have fun with it so I don't mind just wanted to say it :D

Came to the comments to say that :)
They say that in the video.
I don't know much about this game, but, whenever the word "MAY" is on a card, doesn't mean that effect is optional? I mean, otherwise, it would say "must? "
That's what I was wondering.
That is correct.
Ive been seeing more and more achievement hunter tshirts, I’m happy
side note: iirc you're not supposed to reveal the values or colors of the cards you intend to play in a crisis (they do this at the start). That's so no one can be sure if they will pass the check or not.
Don't worry; they picked up on that one soon enough.
lol ive never seen or even heard about anything to do with the series so this should be fun xD
Love it. Most played game with my group.
I can imagine Dwight Schrute playing this.
Don't brig yourself Crendor! Oh wait, this is Co optional Lounge.
Well I am finally back I have watched the show so now I can see this
will you play the board game The thing infection at outpost 31?
I like this game :) Played with with by buddies a few times.
hoping they add some of the expansions once they have finished this one
It's always a good video if Pyrion's in it
Pyrion's the best
Lewis should have been Baltar.
Hey, great board game. The expansions are crazy though.
Pyrion vaps a lot
Martin Olminkhof he used to smoke cigs so at least he's doing something better
Cant really prove that its better without long term research
I bet the Cylon is Pyrion... sneaky bastard
I still haven't watched the show. I have watched Quill & friends play it many times though.
Facts! Bears eat beets, bears beat Battlestar Galactica!
Man, Pyrion's vaping kind of turns my stomach.
I honestly don't get why he can't just wait. He wouldn't smoke while doing a recording.
He used to smoke cigars.
My favorite boardgame ever
LOL lewis exposed at the end
whats the intro track called on epidemic sound?
I was watching and i felt so bad that the guy on the left with black shirt was interrupted so many times by the guy in the center
i really like that table. it's perfect for board games. was it custom made?
This is the frakking stuff that I like.
Still waiting for Sips and Simon to play DDLC...
_Still waiting here for you~_
Love,
Monika
Does anyone else hear THAT DAMN MUSIC!!
Good episode GJ
Tom sure looks different without his beard.
Loving the AH shirt
Yeah, Why is a nuke needed to make the equivilant of a traitor tester? Wouldn't blood tests do just as well? Is it obvious I've never watched the show?
So you are teaming up with Star Trek online are you, it is about time!
It's really similiar to that Dead of Winter board game rule-wise.
Well, this game came first. But yeah, it does have a few things in common.
Pyrion, i find your lack of Choo Choo following a vape... Disturbing.
Is lewis still in japan?
No don't think so he's been in some streams
Either ben lost weight, or his beard shows how really attractive he is
Just like the show? So people are dying on you and you're getting depressed and faithless and being betrayed by both human and Cylon alike?
Good stuff.
This game will make you and your friends hate each other. And that's what makes it great.
theres nothing wrong with these guys, but this group of yogs just never does it for me.
Pudding for my pawns!
Yeeeees one of my favs
Is it bad to watch this without watching the show/movie?
No, but playing the game makes it much more easy to follow.
A friend played without watching the show, and she caught pretty well after a game or two. It looks really intimidating, but the gameplay is pretty simple. Some of the mechanics hint at events in the show, though.
This feels way too familiar... was this a live stream or a re-upload or am I going insane?
Great game!
'SO SAY WE ALL!'
Mark looks a bit unhappy.
What's with pyrion and the ushanka
His bald head gets cold?
Personally, I prefer the original series, but to each his own.
I spy an achievement hunter shirt.
Trouble in Terrorist Town - The Board Game
Gaius is totally Barry.
GEORGE
Lewis acts very Cylon'ey...
I bet fink is the cylon
why that guy vaping?
does he do that a lot?
He used to smoke cigars.
you need to jump 8 distance then one more jump
How the shit did i miss this one!
I wish they d release a non-licence rethemed edition.
Having the Battlestar Galactica theme makes the game so much better, though, because the mechanics tie into BSG so well.
They did now. It's called Unfathomable.
Guys Something tells me tom hazel hasn’t seen the series but I’m non sure what
You can not say the number on your card. You can only say if its high or low. That is the only thing you can say. Not even it's colour. Look it up in the game rules.
Don't worry; they picked up on that one soon enough.
You MAY put a guy in the bridge...here is a hint....you dont have too. worst decision ever
Oh cool game.
* old man voice * I return I have gone through five seasons of battle star galactica to understand this irrelevant board game
I thought you werent supposed to say the value or the color of the cards you play towards an event.
Puckle Ruck
I find Pyrion's vaping extremely repugnant and inconsiderate. It really does rile me.
Saul McShane We call it playing the douche flute.
Go spend you completely pathetic life somewhere else then you idiot! Why spend your time where you get aggravated?!
Or how about just not being such a snowflake that is so easily riled up, McDouche?
It does feel like a bad influence; a large portion of the viewerbase of the Yogscast - at least from 5 years ago - are under the age of 18.
So go watch something else and bitch about that. Just go.
Lewis's character is either the main character or the love interest right? I know nothing about Battlestar but those stats mixed with the names of her abilities make it seem that way...
I'm not old, can't you see how hip I am *Scratches floppy Eared Hat* 2:25
