Grabby’s rusty but she has a lot of potential to improve, connect and polish off her skills. Hopefully she can do it in such a short time. She has always been my favorite gymnast and a soft spot in my heart especially with all her ups and downs in the sport. Olympic gold in her future 🥇
@@A.Girl.Has.No.Name. yes and i think she does not have enough flexibility like Simone who is all short and her legs looks like they are naturally bent even when doing vault
@matshitseamantle Like MyKayla Skinner, who had the same issue, but who even said herself that she was not flexible Along with the lack of flexibility, extension and amplitude in her leaps on beam, Jocelyn also seems to lack some of the basics on other apparatus as well, such as keeping the legs together and pointing the toes during skills, which she fails to do repeatedly in her bars routine.
Well, one thing we have to admit is how USA is strong on vault, almost _any_ American elite gymnast can show a good DTY, while all other teams are struggling to keep 2 or 3 gymnasts with DTYs (or DTTs in case of China).
I have been watching a lot of different meets over the past few weeks. I feel the USA team looks not ready for Paris . Other teams I have seen competing are farther along in preparation
Usa team is so far ready: biles; shilese; jocelyn; and a lot of other AA contenter ( trinity; leane wong; sky ; kayla; or Specialist blakely; jong ; Lincoln and may be snSunisa
I think this is one of the years you have at least half of the previous Olympians returning, with 1-3 having a really good shot at making the team. Barring injuries, Simone Biles is a guarantee.... For example, Jade, Suni, Kayla DiCello, and Chiles all have very good probability, again, barring injuries. Douglas, from 2 Olympics back, is also giving her very best effort. Except for the younger athletes who would be going for the first time --- who MUST SHOW ALL THAT THEY HAVE, during the various nationals ---- at least half of the most visible American gymnasts are very experienced; so they're not going to push every exercise to the max, risking injuries, which, no matter how tiny, will guarantee 100% missing the team... For other national teams as well as for America's YOUNGER gymnasts, again, it's "make or break" time. They haven't "earned" any "credits" with the officials who would select the team members...
Most of the gymnasts who have been competing the last few weeks are not the top contenders for this year's Olympic team. They also have to peak at the right time.
The new Code of Points makes ALL these U.S. gymnasts appear robotic and boring. The excitement is gone. The creativity is nonexistent. It's the same tired elements over and over. Every one of these routines is sloppy and predictable. Jeeze, can the U.S. not employ choreographers. Every one of these athletes needs a ballet class. Where's the dance, finesse, and elegance? Where's the presentation? Where's the form? Gone are the days of Shannon Miller and Nastia Luiken. Perhaps this lack luster, cheap venue is what really is annoying me, or maybe it's the insipid shouting, "Go, Gabby! Go, Gabby!" Is Carey ever going to stick a vault in competition?
Try not to be so negative, i don't like Gabby, but i do love Biles, Suni, and Jade.. a few others are ok.. like Kayla and Shinese, etc.! I think Suni is quite graceful, she just has had the kidney issue to deal with. They wlll be ready, and I believe in them! P.S. I agree Shannon Miller for sure, I have always loved her!
@jennifersimmons964 I know. My comment is totally negative. I'll try and do better. I think that I'm just so frustrated with the monotony. Although the US Team has not yet been selected, I get a little nervous as I follow the European and Asian country's gymnasts.
@@plimptonsedgwick165 Boring? And "creative" butt shaking and hand waving and pretending to be a ballerina in between tumbling makes it interesting? Absolutely ridiculous. The new CoP is bullshit and sexist, period. Even if you were right, the American girls will dominate in Paris.
@@jennifersimmons964How are you going to start your comment off with telling somebody to not be negative but then start saying how you don’t like Gabby??? But you like Biles??? Girl shut up and just like you giving grace for Suni and her medical issues why is this grace not given to Gabby who just came back from an 8 yr hiatus??? The racism is very much loud with y’all can’t wait for Gabby to come back and shut shit down since y’all talk too fucking much.
@@jennifersimmons964And what makes you not like Gabby? Has she done something to you personally??? Your comment is quite ironic when you’re negative your damn self. And you’re extending grace for Suni and her medical issues why is this not applied for Gabby who just came back after an 8 yr hiatus? Should she regain consistency you don’t think she can contend with Shilese and Suni Lee??? You’re sadly mistaken if you think the opposite … Gabby at least has an AA program Suni has yet to compete one since Tokyo but you’re here talking about how she’ll be ready lmao Can’t wait for GABBY to give y’all something to talk about because the hate y’all have for her doesn’t even make sense. I had no idea until now, how lacklustre this meet is...no wonder it's not televised lol
Myli Lew's beam rhythm is unbelievably good. Wish she could have more difficulty across the board.
I never realized how little Jade Carey is until I saw her running down this vault runway
Myli Lew is underrated. I don’t know how old she is, but maybe promising next quad.
Her form and rhythm are good, but she's lacking difficulty. Maybe she's excellent next year.
She’s a second year senior so around 17
I totally agree he beam routine other then the dismount and partial fumble was the only thing impressive.
Is jade wearing her 2022 Olympic podium training leotard?
Jade please do a switch leap. L hop 1/1 is banned.
She is more likely to incur a deduction for lack of split and I believe that's why she does the hop 1/1
@@im_so_rachel Her split is much better so there's no point to do a hop 1/1 (A/B-rated).
I cringe at the looks of Joscelyn's leaps on beam
Joscelyn seems to have regressed since injury
Same!!
I don't know if it's more obvious with her short legs or what, but the lack of extension/full split is SO obvious!
