I was literally thinking this morning, "I haven't seen Wendy post in a while, I wonder how her and baby are doing." And then you posted! Glad to see everyone looking healthy!
I'm so glad to be posting again!! My time away turned out to be a welcome change of scenery (feels weird to say it was a nice break because it was not a break by any means LOL) and now I'm looking forward to growing through the next bit of working and caring for Marla! Thank you so much for thinking of me, sometimes I felt intimidated about returning but all the supportive words have helped me immensely ❤️❤️
I bet the sound of the sewing machine is like a lullaby for your baby since she heard it so much in the womb 😂 so glad to see you guys are doing well, and thanks for sharing with us!
The mission impossible style measuring was perfect. Baby bonnets and clothing are so difficult to get right, this was an adorable and still usable first attempt!
Regarding the sensitivity to seams in babies/children, both me and my brother are hypersensitive to seams, fabrics and textures of certain things, so as children we sometimes wore our clothes inside out. It looked weird, but it was comfortable. There are also children's/baby's clothes that are sewn inside out with the raw seams surged. It looks a bit cuter and then the print or pattern of the fabric is outside.
Oh!!! A practical reason for the seams on the outside! I've seen those before but couldn't think of why it was a thing, made for some confusing flip fests for clothes
Just meeting you- your daughter is beautiful; my granddaughter is about her age- precious time going through her ungoing development- I don't hear the name Marla to often; nice to hear a fellow Marla :) I am currently taking sewing lessons and am making a dress with a pattern- I would like to get to a point where I can do something without a pattern for myself.
She is so beautiful! We just welcomed our second baby, a girl, in September. Enjoy all the baby snuggles because time is an absolute thief. Also, it's awesome that you're prioritizing "you time" as much as you are your daughter. It's so important!
I'm so glad you're back. I really missed that chillout laid back vibe you have, and now with baby Marla it's even more serene and calming. I have a nephew which is the same age as her I suppose, born in July and haven't seen him since because of pandemic lockdowns, so watching Marla play got me very emotional. I'm so happy for you all. God bless you.
I was doing all good until the * kick * * kick * part at the end, and now I'm sobbing happy tears! I'm so happy to see you back, and Marla is just so precious and adorable! Congratulations! I love that you're taking time for yourself and being realistic about everything! Keep up the amazing work, and of course feel free to REST if ya need to! ♥
Congrats! This made me tear up. I have 3 kids now, my youngest is 4 months and I've gotten back to the sewing table once again. It just takes time after each kid to get a new routine. And my 5 year old is already learning with me - it's super rewarding to watch her sew too. Good job Momma!
Bem vinda de volta, sua filha é linda. Pelo que eu percebi vamos ter muitas inspirações de moda infantil, a modelo é simplesmente adorável. Felicidades à família.
@@withwendy omg this comment made me soooo happy!! It's super cool when someone you admire tries to understand your language, even if its through google translate hahaha
Hi Wendy!! Welcome back, missed you a lot.. Marla is ‘sew’ adorable.. Hopefully she’s bringing you & Dan endless love & joy & getting some well deserved sleep…. 💜💜💜🧵🧵🧵
words cannot express how proud i am of wendy; i feel so much joy for her when she finishes making a garment and then she just produced life? wow. shes amazing.
All smiles to see your beautiful baby Marla smiling back at us. Thank you for the brief glimpses of family on instagram. Wishing you and all those you love all the best.
I'm feeling like a proud grandma because I've followed your channel for many years. Marla and bonnet are adorbs! So glad you found a routine that incorporates you time. That's so important for moms to avoid supermom syndrome. BTW Aveda products are awesome!
Marla is BEYOND adorable! She is SO sweet and will be the best-dressed little girl for years to come! Keep reading to her! That’s the best advice I can give, which paid big dividends with my two sons, who are now 39 and 35!
Oh man. What you said at the end about this project being a reality check!! My son just turned one and while it doesn’t get easy, it does get much easier to carve out time for yourself as they get a little older. You and your daughter are beautiful, and I love to see someone who I’ve admired adapting to the challenges and blessings of motherhood.
Love the bonnet. I was making a dress for my granddaughter and my husband said “it’s a small dress, shouldn’t take but about 15 minutes” 🤣🤣. You’re right in saying it’s hard doing such tiny seams and ties!
Thank you Wendy. I'm on the last days of my pregnancy and it makes me hopeful that i can do this watching your videos. Hopefully the baby recognizes the sewing machine sound as a relaxing sound that makes mommy happy. Big hugs and kisses to you two from a Chilean living in the Netherlands 🙂
Welcome back Wendy! Please take it easy on yourself, I can only imagine how hard it is to manage everything with a newborn. Just to know we'll be here to support you regardless 💗💗💗and Marla is a beautiful little girl ✨
Baby girl is just precious!! Nice job on her hat. I’ve been thinking of you lately, hoping you were well. I’m so glad you took the time to settle into your new parenting groove without rushing back to the UA-cam world.
I love this vloggy type of video! Ever since your pregnancy announcement, my sis and I have been calling your channel withbaby, and it's so wonderful to see your projects evolve with all these new life experiences ♡ I almost cried at how wholesome this diy was, you're so creative and your model is the cutest! Best wishes to your family!!
Awwww my heart just melted out of my chest!! I was wondering if and when you and baby would make an appearance and what an adorable appearance it was!! Congratulations Wendy and Dan and welcome to the world sweet baby!!
I remember watching you when i was in 8th grade in 2013, Your “pair of summer shorts diy” one, After soooo long i am watching you, wow i got tears in my eye, You have a baby now, You have grown so much, i am so proud of you 😭
I’ve been watching you for YEARS now and all of your new adventures and chapters in your life. This video honestly made me cry 😢. Thank you for sharing something so intimate and precious. I can’t wait to start my family too. Please continue sharing your new little sewing girl. I love you girls. ❤️
So glad to have you back, Wendy. I wish you and your family so much happiness and i cant wait for all the adventures to come. Your work has always inspired me!
Thank you for being so real with your portrayal of how much having a little one slows down your sewing! I have a 1 year old and for the first 6 months I was so frustrated by how long it would take me to sew the tiniest thing. This video would have been so helpful for my spirit, I hope it helps other moms! 💕
I’m sorry but as of now she 1000% her dad twin!! Lol She so adorable 🥰 hahah fever all over again also your energy is so calm and chill and I am living for it.

Hi Wendy!! Welcome back, missed you a lot.. Marla is ‘sew’ adorable.. Hopefully she’s bringing you & Dan endless love & joy & getting some well deserved sleep….
💜💜💜🧵🧵🧵
Welcome back, beautiful baby. Mothers are heroic. FYI, I sew all knits with a narrow side to side zig zag so it stretches.
She’s so cute and you can definitely see a bit of mum and of dad in her 💕💕
Beautiful. Amazing how time flies. The little one is so cute. Thank God for the gift of life ❤️

I'm so proud of you! It took me a year to get back into sewing. I'm glad you are finding a way. She's soooo adorable
My mom used to sew at night when I was young, I found the sound soothing. Maybe Marla will find it a nice white noise to sleep to as well.
