"Keep in mind that knowing the solution cannot be reversed!" Foolish genius, you underestimate my ability to forget anything I'm told!
🤗🙈
@@Mr.Puzzle hi mr.puzzle, did you already find the ‘technique’ used in this box?
6 second Tom??hye im Tom..
i know Im pretty off topic but do anybody know a good site to stream new movies online ?
@Nicholas Gordon i use FlixZone. You can find it by googling =)
Mr puzzle, I actually enjoy the format you've been doing, in that you display a gadget or two before each puzzle solve. It's like a bonus :)
It's an ad and you fall for it every time.
@@AphexTwinII some of the gadgets he shows are cooler than the puzzles. I'd like to have most of them so stfu
Mr. Puzzle and his faithful sidekick, Mr. Caliper.
😂
I dare anyone to name a more iconic duo.
Well done! I have the same cube as a moneybox since 1965.
I absolutely love the gadgets and wouldn’t mind a whole episode of them. As long as we still get the puzzles.🤓
Don't worry about getting more puzzle episodes! 😜
Step 1: Smell the puzzle
😂🙈
From now on I want a comment on the smell on every puzzle before the solving begins. 🤪
That should be a T-shirt
Feels like the old man Rudy of puzzles
one of these days, it'll be a real clue haha
2:47 That's so soothing.
The dice puzzle box is super well-made. Very high quality.
That kaleidoscope is so dope!!! What great craftsmanship
What a great idea that was to attach your phone’s camera to the kaleidoscope’s viewing hole!
Hey! Just wanted to say I actually have made a puzzle like this before following the same design so I know the mechanism. It consists of six interlocking panels with weights. The panels move freely on the inside of each side, so when you tilt them the right direction gravity drags them down and they unlock the next panel. When all panels are unlocked upto the one hidden behind 5 it unlocks the top of the box.
I was wondering why the numbers were out of place...
🤗
😮 smart guy!!
So was I lol
I just assumed the designer didn't know any better and it frustrated me. That shows me though!
@@Zoso14892 That's what I thought too. It really bugged me and then I felt like a jerk. 😂
Some reason I just kept focusing on the watch ⌚!! Feels like I only ever notice the wedding band!! 🤔 then I realized it was a scratch and sniff puzzle and got really excited 😁 ..in all seriousness I love to watch an expert at work! Always look forward to those 7 words WELCOME TO ANOTHER EPISODE OF MR PUZZLE!!
One of the few channels that I give a thumbs-up every video I love your attitude I love your enthusiasm and I just love your videos I've been with you for a very long time from the beginning I believe. Thank you mr. Puzzle this is mr. Puzzle LOL this is mr. Puzzle I do an impression. That's my impression. I always tell my mom this is mr. Puzzle
Thanks a lot for your support!
Thanks for the support!
Another beautifully shot film... lovely to another upload from you, thanks. (that kaleidoscope insane)
Thanks!
The way you display all these puzzles at the beginning of the video is so cool! If I had a product I was trying to sell you'd be the first person I'd pay to advertise it haha!
Glad to hear you like it! 🙏
Observing you work through and figure out the solution was very satisfying.
The die puzzle is my favorite so far but I love dice maybe that's why, and that Kaleidoscope was off the hook I love that too
I loved the look and quality of this box straight away so I ordered one for myself for a gift. It’s a joy to handle and the mechanism is ingenious. Was difficult to wrap it up and give it away.
Wow. That first seem looks like something you would only see from metal. Beautiful.
Best kaleidoscope I've seen.
Wow!!! Thank You For Sharing.
Clever puzzle. Cool gadget is always nice to see.
Never seen a high quality kaleidoscope in action. Always only cheap toys. Thanks for showing.
beautiful piece, wish i could afford this
That box is one of the old original design. He later made them with the pips in the right order but then the solution could not be in numerical sequence.
I seem to remember that there was a panel that slid outward from the number one on up, ultimately opening the number 6...? It was an entirely different solve.
Love seeing that beautiful kaleidoscope. I have a collection of them including several with a glycerin component. I want to try your phone trick. So clever!
Cool!
Yes please, more gadgets!
I have this puzzle. I love it.
I like the short gadget intro with a puzzle afterward!
My evil mind...
Put-in the wedding ring inside the dicebox and give it to your fiancée....
...Then she will have to solve the puzzle to finally recover the ring !!!
Mr.Puzzle and Chris Ramsey videos = a good day.
Please keep the gadgets-in-the-puzzle-vids format-it’s great bonus content!
Thanks for this! Mine should be arriving in a couple hours. 😀
Nice! Enjoy!
I got this box in the '90s!
a v2 would be amazing with a mechanical dial inside to set a different sequence. this would be a genius design.
That was clever!
This has got to be my favorite puzzle box.
Don't ever apologise for your enthusiam :-) that's one of the main reasons I like your videos. BTW I never watched the solution as I put it on my list of purchase candidates. I finally bought it and I expect it will be delivered tomorrow. Looking forward to it like a kid.
Totally agree on the difficulty, I thought it would have been more tricky...still, it's a beautiful peace of puzzle to own.
As soon as you pointed out that the numbers weren’t the normal dice scheme, I guessed the solution and was happy that you tried several times til it worked!
Japanese wood craftsmanship is beyond insane
Awesome... I saw Ramsay figure this out months ago... Cant wait to see how easy it is for you!
very elegant
3/5 for difficulty, OK, but 5/5 or 6/5 for woodworking quality - very well made, beautiful.
I have it and it is very cool and well made 10/10
Yeah, you caught on quick to that. As a gambler and a gamer dice always normal have their counterpart on the opposite side, same for a twenty-sided dice as well. Also, I'd love to see a gadget episode. Maybe something like Grand Illusions' channel.
Unless it's a "spindown" dice where each face has the next number connected, so you can easily go from 20 to 19 to 18, etc.
@@ciderfan823Yep
This is an incredible puzzle, but WOW that price! Clearly a lot of craft and work goes into making one of these. One day 👀
More gizmos would be interesting.
61 52 43 are the sides of a die. Opposite sides always add up to 7 on a normal 6 sided die.
I play lots of backgammon and my dice maths are pretty strong.
Fun puzzle!
I dunno why it took so long... was like the first solution I thought of.
I'm extremely familiar with dice, and the first thing I noticed was the wrong number positions, and thought man what a disappointment... little did I know lol
I finally managed to 3D-print my own dice. And it works!!!!
Love you're videos man! Long time subscriber from Virginia Beach, VA USA!
Thanks a lot! Regards!
Nice solution!!
And yes, please please please consider starting a Mr. Gadget channel!!
😜
You didn't comment on the dot on the single dot side being bigger than all the other dots. Wasn't that important in some way?
I have that puzzle and highly recommend it. It's beautiful and has a nice logical solution. What do you do with dice? You "roll" them. What's the most logical order to roll it through? 1..2..3..4..5..6. Please keep on puzzling for us. We love watching your videos.
Plcae side 1 upwards first, then turn side 2 upwards and then so on, until for side 6.
My guess at 5:00 - the ball(?) Inside needs to move from 1 to 6 in order, which couldn't happen if the sides were correctly placed (that is, opposite sides adding up to 7).
People: So what do you do for a living?
Mr. Puzzle: I solve puzzles
People: Don't we all?
Mr. Puzzle: :)
I have to complain about the dice that the numbers on the opposite sides do not add up to seven
Hammer!
I saw a similar kaleidoscope on my honeymoon. It was priced at $20,000. I asked what made it so expensive, and the shop owner handed it to me and said, "Take a look". Found it was full of cut diamonds, rubies, emeralds, in that dark field format. It was awesome. It was a piece of jewelry with great sparkle. Looked quite plain on the outside with a glossy black enamel finish.
Top and bottom numbers always add up to 7, 1- 6,
5-2, 4-3.
It bugs me that this isn’t made like a real die with opposite sides adding up to 7, but it’s still a neat puzzle.
First thing I noticed. That 3/6 & 1/4 was driving me nuts 😩
Then it wouldn't be possible to run through the sequence of 1 to 6. If 3 was opposite of 4, then how do you turn the cube? The mechanism works because you are only turning a face at a time, going from 3 to 4 (if they were on opposite sides) would involve two turns and therefore there's no clue how you should make the turn.
Plus, the clue for the puzzle was the fact the numbers didn't follow the traditional numbering on the die faces (where they traditionally add up to 7).
Keep in mind, there *are* dice that are made for counting rather rolling, where the numbers are sequential around the die. Admittedly it's more common for dice with more sides, such as 10 or 20, but the doubling die in Backgammon follows the same idea.
I want a puzzle box that you solve and then spits out more puzzles.
There have been already some I think!
The absolute first thing I noticed was that the numbers were incorrect. Didn’t occur to me that that could be a hint though.
"But we are not here to look at gadgets"
Ehm ... Yes, we are. 😊
😂
I would like it better if the sides were correct and you had to determine the sequence without the hints. Would be much harder to solve and wouldn't detract from the appearance.
What if the number sequence is not sequential? Like custom box with birthday number etc.
Is the rating change?
any thoughts about the internal mechanism
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6... Easy
I would like to know the mechanism inside...🤔
Wo kann man das Puzzle kaufen? :)
What a rare situation, your video had appear to me already marked with 'like', just as if i had clivked on 'like'. If i click on 'like' it gets un-ticked, if i click again it is again matked as 'like', wow!
It is a real mistery for me why it appeared with 'like' marked and it is the first time that happen.
Can you tell me where do you get this box?
I would watch a gadget episode! ✅
Where to buy
The numbering of the dices as you spotted were wrong but that certainly was the giveaway to solve this. Yes 1 is opposite to 6, 2 to 5, 3 to 4 and you’ll figure the totals are always 7..that’s how a genuine dice should be but for this puzzle with a stash compartment..oh my😅
Hey Mr.P we need more awesome intros like the impossible planet and the triple yolk Ft. PuzzleHunter please
😅
If this were bulletproof/fireproof, it would be much more effective than a safe
Yep, that's black walnut.
Easy as 1, 2,3
See if you can get Werner Herzog to do a guest audio track. Don't give him a script, just let him riff.
Throw the dice :D
A gadget episode sounds fun
YOU'RE THE MOST BRILLIANT PUZZLE BOX EVER
The Brass Kaleidoscope Is sold out anyone know if it will come back in stock?
I can't help thinking the #1 hole is just too large. Haven't watched the video yet.
Where can I buy this?
Pretty sure it’s walnut.
Wood smells soooo good.👃👃 sniff sniff.....so nice 🤗
I feel like I've seen this on one of the Chris Ramsay's video
Yup but it had a different solve, if I remember correctly. It had panels that slid out, ultimately leaving room for the 6 to slide all the way open. At least that's how I remember it lol
@@groowanderer No, it was the same puzzle.
@@reamick ok then I must be thinking about a different but similar one.
Cmon guys both of them are watching each others channels for cool puzzles and ideas i'm sure he knows... Not a bad thing if you ask me.
If I was to guess the mechanism I would say it had 5 rods inside that are locked by the previous rod
As of the puzzle, you roll the dice until you would'nt solve the puzzle bcuz it was a dice puzzle..
So now you have a box to hide your special Dutch cigarettes and with that gorgeous kaleidoscope, something to watch when you smoke them!
Definitely make a gadgets video
At a real dice the numbers from the other side gets together always 7 like 1.6 2.5 3.4 so this is not a tegular dice....❤
Dice pattern incorrect 4 and 3 should be opposite sides as should 6 and 1 and 5 and 2, just saying......
There is a reason for that
That's a hint from the designer as to how to solve the puzzle.
i want this puzzle box... where i can buy it??
Video description
Thanks for that - now I feel like someone slipped some acid into my coffee...
I'm not sure I would have ever solved this. I wouldn't have paid much attention to them being out of order because I have a dice (that is just a dice) that has 1 opposite 4, 3 opposite 6, and, the typical, 2 opposite 5, almost just like this. Why it is like that, I have no idea, but I would just figure the puzzle maker wasn't paying much attention (like whoever made this weird dice I have).
