I bought the V-moda M100's as per your suggestion from your last favorite headphones video... They are the best things I have ever put on my ears. Ive had them for about a year and they are still perfect. Thanks for introducing me to them!
I have the Bose QC15 and I use them every day on my way to college. 2:30 hours of train and two subways each day. The noise cancelling is great, they sound awesome and I love changing tracks, adjusting volume, pause and play, and even fast forward and reverse with the buttons in the cable next to the headphones. I didn't tried any others, but I would definitely recommend these if you have long and frequent travels, specially if the public transport is noisy.
Bose headphones are by far the best if it's active noise cancellation you're looking for, however, in terms of raw sound, the ATH M50 blow the QC15 out of the water.
dam bro you travel 2 and 1/2 hours (i'm assuming almost everyday) to college!!! i don't know how you can put up with that on a every day basis, i would go insane....
They can't play if they ran out of batteries, that's true. However, they last pretty damn long, I'm talking several weeks, and the case has a little compartment where you can put an extra battery.
Yeah, from Monday to Friday, 1:15hs from home to college and another 1:15 back. It sucks but it is what it is. Music and reading works pretty good for me to cope with it.
Jud awesome video bro I have the Sony pulse headphones mine haven't cracked yet. I also have the V Moda crossfade LP the older version and I love them I got them on sale for $40 at Radio Shack and you are right the are built like a tank. Sounds like you got a new mic sound is great keep up the good work bro.
***** Hey I have the Pulse as well but recently I bought the Kingston HyperXcloud and I think it beats the Pulse in terms of sound quality minus the rumble pack of course haha.
***** I've been using my pulse on your recommendation for more than a year now. And thankfully, I do not have any cracks on mine. Yet.. I absolutely love them. But what are your views on the new Sony XB950BT? Its been getting a lot of positive reviews and praise lately. And since you love BT headphones, could you probably do a review on them? And see how they compare and stack up against the pulse. I'd be grateful.
Your list are totally legit for "Bass head's headphone" with really concern about over-all sound quality, build and look. I'm really respect your choice of these headphones.
I bought the V-Moda Crossfade M100 headphone base on your this particular review and I have to admit, it is a money well spent. this is a great pair of headphone. Very comfortable and they sound amazing. Cheers ***** Looking forward to your Top 5 favourite Wireless Headphones. C'mon mate bring it on, can't wait.
Was great to see some new headphones on the list compared to the older top 5s! I just bought new headphones and so I wanted to search some info about them and other models in general. I got up here and damn I've been exploring your channel and all the reviews which have been very helpful a lot. Thanks for that and keep up the good work! Greets from Finland lol
That's exactly what I listen to as well. I own a variety of headphones, and I don't know why, but none of them just seem to have enough bass for me. I have the SonyMDRXB600s, the SolRepublicJaxs, the Vmoda LPs, and I used to have the KlipschImageOnes. The only way I could get enough bass on any of them was to use the bass boosting EQ on my iPhone, but then it kind of muffles everything else :/
If you like bass the sony is definitely the choice, and its sound quality isnt bad at all, plus its a lot cheaper. But if you want sound quality and flat sound definitely the audio technica
+Trey Grimsley Don't get either. M50 is overpriced at it's current price point, and the XB950 is just overall bad. The Beyerdynamic Custom one pro, beyerdynamic DT770 pro and AKG K550 are all better.
I love how you named the video "my top 5", I hate it when most channels list videos as "the best headphones" because, similarly to what you said, sound is in the ear of the beholder
I love the bass of the Skullcandy Crusher, which are my current headphones. I'm looking to upgrade, but I don't want to lose the bass. What would you recommend?
+Sebastian Zamora i had skullcrushers too and moved to sony extra bass blutooth headphones and currently those are by far the best headphones ive ever used period.
I have the Sony bluetooths the guy below is talking about. Those are the best bass headphones I've ever used. And I had the Skullcandys you have. The Sony's are much better if that's what you want. I still recommend the ATH M50x's though. You won't find a more versatile headphone. Tons of aftermarket accerories to..
Upluhh Because beats still aren't worth the price there sold at. The half of the money you give to them goes to marketing while your just paying $100 for the headphones.. all of these headphones that are on the list sound better than beats.
THE v-modas are VERRRRY uncomfortable i switched the ear pads 5 times its really uncomfortable! :( wasted 270 bucks bought audio technical at m50x much better :)
hey guys,i need help.I listen to a lot of EDM ,mostly music by (HARDWELL,DVLM,SEVEN LIONS)...well it would be like techno, house, electro and most importantly TRANCE.! so out of this 5 which would be a good buy? or do you suggest any other ? obvio the bass is super important, with a good vocal would be great :) thanks in advance.!
Wish I could give those V-Modas a try. UAC has pretty much the same exact taste in headphones as me, so I'd love to test them out for like a day. Play some games, watch a movie, listen to some music. Just see how they are.
You really should give the V-Moda LP2 headphones a go. I own them and I compared them to my friend's M-100. The mids are a little less apparent on the LP2 but there is more bass. I think you should try them because you know how good the M-100's bass is, and the LP2 just have more of it. Since you are a basshead, I have a feeling you are really going to enjoy that! I am thinking of upgrading to the M-100 in the future myself because I am starting to value mids more and more but I still love V-Moda's bass. I want a pair of headphones that is just a little more balanced and the M-100 seem to be exactly what I'm looking for.
thanks man, i got the ath m50x, and they are the better inversion i ever made in headphones, they worth it every dollar, thanks again for your review of them, i hope some day you visit peru, you'll love this country.
I have the Pulse and while they do sound incredible, they're so uncomfortable for me. I can barely wear them for over an hour. Which of these here would you recommend me in terms of sound AND comfort? Would only wear them inside and I'd mainly use them for gaming, music and movies (so all-round usage really).
just got the Vmoda m100 and added the thicker ear cushions for longer periods of listening. Coming from the Vmoda m80, I do like the clarity of the m80. Songs tend to sound more "fun" on the m80 but I like the bass on the m100. Bass is so accurate, if you put too much bass, it'll distort. that means low volume with crispp sounds and a thumpy bass. wished it had more mid tones though. They're there but they don't shine as much. the high in the m100 sparkle a little too much hurting my ears at louder volumes.
You should do a top 5 closed and top 5 open. You're top lists are pretty much closed headphones. Also what are your thoughts on the WA7 amp? I am looking to pair them with Shure SRH1540 and Senn HD 700. Thanks! And keep up the good work man!
Great video I'm definitely gonna get one of these cause iv been wanting to get some but i wasn't sure which ones. I'm gonna go watch all the reviews and see which I like the most. Thanks!
I own pair of VModa M-100 headphones. They are amazing headphones when it comes to looks, audio quality and headband, BUT. I would like to mention some negative sides of them. 1: I want to say is that, you absolutely must buy XL cushions with these headphones. With XL cushions these headphones will feel on your head like they should. Small cushions you get with them are uncomfortable, because they are not big enough and in like 40 minutes of wearing them, your ears will start hurting because headband holds tight on your head and yours ears will press in speakers which will make them hurt. 2: Probably just my headphones, but metal clips that were holding headphones in place were not holding them tight enough. When I dropped them accidentally from less than 1 meter(about 3 foot) on my wooden floor(with carpet), headphones came off. Fortunately I was able to clip them back in metal clips and everything was okay. I was shocked when I saw that happening to so called durable headphones. And no don't think that these headphones I got are fakes. I purchased them straight from VModa's website. Most annoying part is that if I want to send them back to VModa guarantee to find out what seems to be the problem. I will probably need to pay for all postage costs and import taxes to get there and back, because I am from Estonia and VModa is from USA. Thanks for reading, hope that helped you and I am thankful for any kind of replies from you guys. :)
Good video. My Pulse Wireless actually broke an ear off and I used to baby them. Good to know it wasn't just me. ***** if you enjoy the M50x but would like a little more bass, I recommend giving the ATH-PRO700MK2 a listen.
Finally ended up getting a pair of headphones but was so close on buying Logitech UE9000 in comparison to the Sony MDR-1RBT But the logitech was just too heavy and a sensitive piece of equipment that i knew wouldn't last but sound wise would have been good. The sony MDR1 RBT was the best option but i wasn't feeling the bass and the sound didn't scream to me but just kissed the cheeks. My option was the Sony Pulse Elite PS4 which wasn't even made for music listening! But read your reviews and I knew you loved these and I'm not a fan of beats but you rated this and I rate this too ! best headphones! when you put up the bass and surround sound with the vibrating headphones on extra bass!! wow!! That just blew me away! The comfort is just paramount and it is very comfortable. Glad I stuck with your choice and also I saved £150 by not buying the other two choices! Love the dongle as it makes it sound crisp and it's just amazing! Thank YOu!!
Wait... No Beats??? J/K Seriously, I found your channel a few months because I was looking for headphone reviews so this feels like a throwback to when I started watching your videos. I like my earphones but should they ever break, I will definitely consider the Audio-Technicas. And with the cold season settling up here, I am finally appreciating part of the appeal of massive headphones.
You should really try the new MDR 1A (they're basically upgraded 1Rs). They're amazing! Much better than the 1R, a lot more bass, isolation, everything.
Confession: As much as I watch, love and thumbs up your videos, I boycotted the thumbs up button for your past Favorite Headphones lists lol. I didn't feel it right to lie to myself when I KNEW the M100's deserved he number one spot. I know it's your personal opinion, but it's good to see we share the same opinion now after such a long time hahaha.
I have the UE 6000's, the 9000's little brother. Got mine for about 90 bucks. Love em. Really wish the UE line would come back. They were some great headphones.
Love your channel, I'm buying some new headphones and you have been a HUUUUGE help in which ones to go for. I'm settling for a pair of Logitech UE 6000 that I found for £35! similar to ue9000 I think? I believe I have found a total bargain
***** great review as usual brother. Any plans on doing another video on the RHA T10i?? I am really looking hard at those earbuds. Keep up the great work! Love the vids, especially when your GF joins. I love watching you both interact. Great duo!
i have just got my v-moda m-100 and i love them also got my logo on them to. i had to look in to them 1st do my research and from then on beats solo and all the rest of there produces can f off because the m-100 are just amazing. thank you UAC for showing me the v-moda m-100
Thanks for the video bro. I've come to value your opinion on headphones because you seem to have the same tastes as me in sound signatures. Have you tried any headphone amps? I really enjoy the sound I get from them. If you have the opportunity try the Fiio e18. I think it would take your listening pleasure to another level.
How about the newer MDR-1A? I haven't seen you review those yet. I was really amazed with them when I first put them on, with their smooth high end, with deep but balanced bass.
Awesome content ***** thinking of getting the Logitech UE9000 for christmas for my mum, would you say they are good for airplanes relating to noise cancellation? Looking for good quality NC headphones. Should review the Parrot Zik 2.0☺
Thank God! No beats on this list!
Beats are trash they are more for fashion anyways. I use v moda they are pretty cool.
I bought the V-moda M100's as per your suggestion from your last favorite headphones video... They are the best things I have ever put on my ears. Ive had them for about a year and they are still perfect. Thanks for introducing me to them!
them or sennheiser hd25's?

Jaybird bluebuds X are the best
Adam Bustos Thats what i've heard, I was planning on buying those. Never really been a headphones guy.

What the best headphones for listening to dubstep and electronic music? (Basically anything from Monstercat)
I think that the V-moda m-100 would be the best for you on this list, but other headphones would do the job as well :) It depends of your budget ;)

Get the skullcandy crushers it has a switch to set the amount of bass you want :)
The custom one pro does to ;)
I just got the v-moda crossfade lp2 and they are exellent in all techno music.
I like a wide variety of music. Thanks to this awesome vid, I'm getting the custom one pro in white for Christmas! Thanks!
I'm thinking about getting headphones. Should I get the Sony MDR-XB950BT's or the Audio Technica ATH-M50X's?
+Trey Grimsley if you like bass and saving money get the m40x, less and very close in sound quality
If you like bass the sony is definitely the choice, and its sound quality isnt bad at all, plus its a lot cheaper. But if you want sound quality and flat sound definitely the audio technica

Yep
***** Why no beats? You always been talkin good bout the beats, suprised me you didn't throw in the beats any where.

THE v-modas are VERRRRY uncomfortable i switched the ear pads 5 times its really uncomfortable! :( wasted 270 bucks bought audio technical at m50x much better :)

had my vmoda M100s for over 2 years now, still love them as well, but the xl pads are a must
Have you ever reviewed the Bowers & Wilkins P7's, how is their noise isolation quality? thanks and good job on your reviews!
Do you know of any good quality budget headphones? Great video by the way!
You should give the Bowers & Wilkins P7s a try! Would love to hear your thoughts on it. I got them about a week again and they are amazing.
***** great review as usual brother. Any plans on doing another video on the RHA T10i?? I am really looking hard at those earbuds. Keep up the great work! Love the vids, especially when your GF joins. I love watching you both interact. Great duo!
Jud I would like a 4.0 your videos are just awesome and helps me a lot!
i have just got my v-moda m-100 and i love them also got my logo on them to. i had to look in to them 1st do my research and from then on beats solo and all the rest of there produces can f off because the m-100 are just amazing. thank you UAC for showing me the v-moda m-100
I Love the ability to lower bass since my music has so much bass in it (Obscure old school electronic).
Got my limited edition M50x, the blue and copper looks great as the design. Since you see too many of either the black and white.
Bought the blue ath m50x a few months ago. Best headphones investment ever.
I liked number 4 because of the mic and the bass controller and every thing and also the price is very good thanks man
You should review Alpine's first pair of headphones if you like base. They have something special that no other headphones on the market have.
What do you think about walking around with the beats pro? Uncomfortable? Heavy, noise isolation? Bass to hard?
Watchu think? Thanks
Awesome reviews definitely helped me with my selection. Thanks and yes I just subcribed cheers.
How about the newer MDR-1A? I haven't seen you review those yet. I was really amazed with them when I first put them on, with their smooth high end, with deep but balanced bass.
Damn, how much bass do you want? :D
I'm using the M50x's (thanks to your review) and in my opinion they got a lot of bass!
Awesome content ***** thinking of getting the Logitech UE9000 for christmas for my mum, would you say they are good for airplanes relating to noise cancellation? Looking for good quality NC headphones. Should review the Parrot Zik 2.0☺
Good video man you really made me wanna buy the vmoda
