I have an HP compaq l2206tm touch monitor on an Hp 6300p sff with a Windows 10 pro OS. It says no pen and touch available for this display. Are the two compatible for the touchscreen feature?
i have follow the same steps working fine. after restart the pc again back to not working and show's no pen or touch input available .
+Er.Vinoth Valiant You may attempt the following steps and check if the touchscreen starts working: Clean the screen.
With the computer off, spray glass cleaner onto a soft, damp cloth and gently wipe the screen to remove dirt and smudges. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the screen. Give special attention to the upper left and right inside edges of the screen. Turn the computer on when finished.
Press the screen to see if it responds. If not, continue.
Turn off the computer from the Start menu, and unplug the power cord.
With the power cord unplugged, press the power button on the computer case and wait 5 seconds.
Plug in the power cord, and press the power button to turn on the computer.
Press the screen to see if it responds. If not, continue.
Make sure that the touch options are enabled as follows:
Click Start , and then Control Panel.
Click Hardware and Sound.
Scroll down and click Pen and Touch.
From the Touch tab, make sure Use your finger as an input device is selected.
Click OK.
Press the screen to see if it responds.

HELP. We have a HP Pavilion 14n that was purchased with Win8 then upgraded to Win10. We recently had a hard drive failure and installed a new 1TB hard drive with our back up restore USB drive created. I had to go onto the HP support web page to download all the correct drivers for our graphics to stop freezing every 3 seconds. The HP Assist program did not help at all gather those drivers. The touchscreen isn't working and Win10 home says most up to date drive is installed. How do I find the original correct "HID touchscreen" driver to install? I've tried disabling, enabling, restarting, reconnecting screen cable to main board, uninstalling device restarting, etc.. (not positive if there is a separate cable for the touch screen). Why can't I find a touchscreen driver on the HP Website? Laptop seems to be working great, just no touch screen.

I'm having this issue and running that scan did NOT help
@@HPComputingSupport I am having the same issue. In fact everybody who bought the Envy 4 Sleekbook / Ultrabook with TouchSmart has this problem. The screen doesn't respond to touch, a generic hardwaredriver is installed and the specs say no such thing as a touchscreen here. HP has been notified by many many many and never came with a solution. Users have given up trying. This again doesn't work. So sorry to say after decades of HP products, I'm going to switch brands when I need replacement.
