You guys say "welp, let's just end the show there" so many times that when you guys actually ended the show at that point I laughed my ass off! "JTE! We're actually done!" Lmao
I'm glad that Hiddleston didn't get the part of Thor, but I think that it was pretty brilliant that they moved on to cast him as Thor's brother. I mean, wouldn't Loki know more about Thor than almost anyone else?
Fall Out Boy's another band where the lead singer (Patrick Stump) was overshadowed by an instrumentalist, Pete Wentz, who was the *bassist* (and also the main songwriter and tabloid bad boy).
Cillian Murphy would STILL be an awesome Batman. Have you guys watched Peaky Blinders? Tommy Shelby would be a GREAT Bruce Wayne. Not anywhere NEAR Jon Hamm-levels of great, but honestly Murphy probably would've been better than MOST of the existing live-action Batmans.
I'm so grateful for this show! Thank you for filming all these pre-tapes. I look forward to the episode all about Wild Things. I hope you have a Happy New Year!
Love Roth recommending Fringe. One of my favorite shows of all time!! I might be in the minority... but I also loved the less liked season 5. It's my third favorite season, after season 3 and 2!
Thing with Fringe was **Spoilers** . . . . . that it suffered too much from Big Idea syndrome that they couldn't then pull off in the writing, plus the many plot threads that were left dangling. Plus by the end of the whole story the characters on screen are literally not the same as the ones we started with, or even the ones from the previous reboots. That said, I L.O.V.E.D. the care and attentionto detail and easter eggs that filled the show.
Jack Black actually could have worked as a Green Lantern, depending on which Green Lantern he was cast as. Hal Jordan? No! Guy Gardner? Oh good lord no! But as say, G'Nort or Ch'p? A Green Lantern more alien than human would be perfect casting for Jack Black and his comic styling.
As if I needed another reason to love you, dropping that slick Duran Duran knowledge. I won't even ask if you know the other three members . . . you do. Thank you, Roth. Just thank you.
These pre-taped shows are amazingly still fresh and funny. Thanks guys for allowing all those random thoughts, wacky concepts and out-there opinions to become part of the SJnews library.
Happy New Year, Team SJU! So happy I FINALLY tried you guys out last year and now you are my must-watch everyday you have new content. Thanks for making the latter half of 2018 more fun for me, and I hope you will continue to be in my life in 2019 and beyond. Much hugs!
Angus Young, AC/DC. Has always been the face of the band; wears the schoolboy uniform; both singers stood back and watched him work the stage as crowds screamed and cheered; and may be the best example of a musician overshadowing the singer.
"JTE we're donnee!!" is the code for when you know the show was good, but went off the rails too much. XD thanks for a darn fine year of shows and changes, Screen Junkies!
Just to clarify what Roth was referring to on the Jeremy front. Jeremy and Jason London are twins. Jeremy is probably best known for playing TS Quint in "Mallrats", while Jason is best known as Pink in "Dazed and Confused"
Sweet sassy molassey... I love this video so gorram much. The last 10 minutes of this video reminds me of every conversation I've had with friends who are fellow movie buffs when we're trying to remember who played who in what movie or show.
That was the best Kevin Bacon ever! Heather Graham to Jeremy Sisto and back around the world again! And Suburgatory was a great show Roth! I was so bummed it got canceled
They mentioned Christ Farley but didnt talk about how Chris Farley was going to be Shrek. You can even see clips on UA-cam of Chris test screening for Shrek.
Its becoming one of my favorite things to see Roth try to remember something and see her or someone else mention the right thing only to dismiss it until Billy opens up a laptop and reinforces that she was right to begin with! “SUBURGATORY & SISTO FOR LIFE!!!” Lol
Brad Pitt plays a great stoner, remember the guy that never left Rapaport's couch in True Romance? Even when a skinny James Gandolfini and his gang of Italian mafiaoso's show up at the front door.
My fave is finding out that Spielberg offered the role of 'Jurassic Park's' Dr Alan Grant to Harrison Ford. I love JP but man, seeing Indiana Jones in that movie would have been amazing!
Van Halen is close because the band is named after him, but David Lee Roth was quite popular. Wow I’ve never typed Roth while not referring to Ms. Cornett.
Spencer Gilbert's role on SJU was almost filled by Matt Damon but negotiations broke down at the last minute.
He kept being booked on Kimmel to talk about that Deadpool story.
Is it weird that I love the weirdness and just full on "no f*cks given" attitude of the pre-taped episodes? XD
You guys say "welp, let's just end the show there" so many times that when you guys actually ended the show at that point I laughed my ass off!
"JTE! We're actually done!" Lmao
'Although Goop sells a Soul Stone'. There are so many good throwaway lines from these guys that you really need to listen to everything that's said :)
joe has some of the best unnoticed, under-his-breath lines that ONLY spencer ever catches. :-D
"oh, I'm light headed" lol Dan
Cillian front and centre in the thumbnail makes my heart so happy
I was literally screaming ‘Suburgatory’ to the screen !!! 😂😂😂
I love it when the shows go off the rails.
Sisto talk was pure gold!
I'm glad that Hiddleston didn't get the part of Thor, but I think that it was pretty brilliant that they moved on to cast him as Thor's brother. I mean, wouldn't Loki know more about Thor than almost anyone else?
@@isen2619 And the only good part of the second one..
@@isen2619 Just Fuck.... That Movie.....
This one didn't just fall off the rails, it made the rails fall off too! 🤣
I got every reference to other Pre-taped SJU shows. I love this show so much
Fall Out Boy's another band where the lead singer (Patrick Stump) was overshadowed by an instrumentalist, Pete Wentz, who was the *bassist* (and also the main songwriter and tabloid bad boy).
THANK YOU! I was screaming this.
I was yelling that at the screen... then realized I am just a pop punk kid who wont grow up haha
@@Adrian-zd4cs growing up is for quitters.
Nicolas Cage as the Burton-verse Superman, how can you top that.
Some Sisto-Talk is a great way to start the new year.
That was some crazy talk... And I loved it!!!!!!!
I've been sitting here for 5 minutes shouting at my screen YES ROTH, I KNOW WHAT SHOW YOU MEAN!!! Suburgatory was super fun!
I concur
The last 3 minutes are just Roth laughing...amazing
I see Cillian Murphy in the thumbnail, I click.
Happy New Year SJU!
I'm so grateful for this show! Thank you for filming all these pre-tapes. I look forward to the episode all about Wild Things. I hope you have a Happy New Year!
Of all the pre-taped SJU holiday shows, this one was the best!
Mr Sunday Movies should have been a guest in this episode!
You are all so GOOFY & FUN, THANK YOU!
The Jeremy sisto tornado was beautiful!!!
Love Roth recommending Fringe. One of my favorite shows of all time!! I might be in the minority... but I also loved the less liked season 5. It's my third favorite season, after season 3 and 2!
Thing with Fringe was

that it suffered too much from Big Idea syndrome that they couldn't then pull off in the writing, plus the many plot threads that were left dangling.

That said, I L.O.V.E.D. the care and attentionto detail and easter eggs that filled the show.
Charlie Cox auditioned for Loki
I'd watch a discussion of Wild Things, or really any movie Screen Junkies have a lot to say about :)
I would LOVE to see an episode of SJU that was all about Wild Things!
Tom hiddleston looks like gene wilder more than thor
Jack Black's Green Lantern would be an interesting thing to see.
No. No no no no no. Noooooooooo
Maybe more as a Red Nose Day skit than a actual feature film casting.
#JBGL
Jack Black actually could have worked as a Green Lantern, depending on which Green Lantern he was cast as. Hal Jordan? No! Guy Gardner? Oh good lord no! But as say, G'Nort or Ch'p? A Green Lantern more alien than human would be perfect casting for Jack Black and his comic styling.
The end had me laughing out loud while watching and doing the dishes... almost cut myself with a steak knife ... good times
“Thats how you walk through a door” brilliant! So true
«No, my real name is William»
Spencer: Whaaaaaaat?!!
I loved how the Burbs director stuck with Dan from the Schmoedown, it's been like two years since that question lol
As if I needed another reason to love you, dropping that slick Duran Duran knowledge. I won't even ask if you know the other three members . . . you do. Thank you, Roth. Just thank you.
Spider Man Noir in Who Framed Roger Rabit.
Much hugs!
That show deserved a Thumbs Up.
Angus Young, AC/DC. Has always been the face of the band; wears the schoolboy uniform; both singers stood back and watched him work the stage as crowds screamed and cheered; and may be the best example of a musician overshadowing the singer.
Wheres the venom commentary
Happy new year all! Here’s to a great 2019!
Defending Your Life is a great film. Thank you Roth.
"JTE we're donnee!!" is the code for when you know the show was good, but went off the rails too much.
XD
thanks for a darn fine year of shows and changes, Screen Junkies!
Sisto Junkies Universe was awesome! He is currently on "FBI," which is an actual show on actual network TV in 2019.
Hahahah. That was a great show. Whenever they complain about it being bad for whatever reason, that's usually the reason that makes it funny/good!
The finest finish to an episode one could ever hope for.
I love you guys! I smile so much watching this show everyday!!!!!
Just to clarify what Roth was referring to on the Jeremy front. Jeremy and Jason London are twins. Jeremy is probably best known for playing TS Quint in "Mallrats", while Jason is best known as Pink in "Dazed and Confused"
I'd pay $15 to see a movie called "Valley of the Hanks" starring Tom Hanks.
Sisto was also in Now You Know who was directed by Clerks actor Jeff Anderson AKA Randall Graves
Sweet sassy molassey... I love this video so gorram much. The last 10 minutes of this video reminds me of every conversation I've had with friends who are fellow movie buffs when we're trying to remember who played who in what movie or show.
Loved this one, for Sisto Junkies Universe if nothing else.
Could it be one Michael Joseph Jackson?
Matthew Moore I see someone who's been watching Mr Sunday Movies
Lol
Wonder Ring.
WITH MIND BULLETS!!!!
25:44 I LOVED SUBURGATORY!!!!!
If Charlie Sheen's Spider-Man had been made, I just hope that the theme song would have gone, "Tiger blood! Tiger blood! Radioactive tiger blood!"
You missed out that Will Smith was nearly Neo and Tom Selleck was nearly Han Solo!
Actually Selleck was almost Indiana Jones.
@ROTH the show is SUBURGATORY!! It was my favorite and I miss it every day!!
Thank you Dan Murrell.
Santana is the all-time “People Know the Guitar Player Best” band.
I want the Harrison Ford version of 5th Element.
That was the best Kevin Bacon ever! Heather Graham to Jeremy Sisto and back around the world again! And Suburgatory was a great show Roth! I was so bummed it got canceled
Hilarious! I love you guys!! Always entertaining.
this episode was bonkers and I loved it
When Spencer asked if he was the grunge kid, he was thinking of Breckin Meyer. You sent him down the wrong path.
Marianne I was going to say the same. Jeremy Sisto played Elton, the a-hole who tried to force himself on Cher.
Yeah, it lead to them saying Jeremy Sisto was in The Craft and Franklin & Bash. I’m sitting here just shaking my head.
Joe's comment about Brad Pitt makes me a bit sad considering how much I love Moneyball and his relationship with his daughter in it
ahh not surprised at the Cillian Murphy screen testing in the old Bats suit.. Henry Cavill did a costume test in an old Christopher Reeve suit.
For me Jeremy Sisto is from Law and Order and Six Feet Under.
Love when you guys go off the rails.
I was yelling "Suburgatory!" at my monitor for like two minutes 😂 Bless your heart, Roth.
Welp. It was a mess. But the best kind of mess is a Screen Junkies mess.
Considering how I just discovered Jablinksi a few days ago, I'd easily just accept the role of Jack Black Green Lantern without any fuss whatsoever.
They mentioned Christ Farley but didnt talk about how Chris Farley was going to be Shrek. You can even see clips on UA-cam of Chris test screening for Shrek.
Scene from the childhood of Joe Starr
Joe's mom or dad: "Joseph! William! Starr!"
Joe: "Uh oh..."
Do an honest trailer on Wild things.
We don't have to correct you Roth, you're as close to perfect as anyone could be.
Roth you are so right! I don't think anyone else could've pulled off the door scene in 2 towers..my goodness that was steamy:)
The Brad Pitt role from Thelma and Louise was almost played by music icon John Mellencamp
Its becoming one of my favorite things to see Roth try to remember something and see her or someone else mention the right thing only to dismiss it until Billy opens up a laptop and reinforces that she was right to begin with! “SUBURGATORY & SISTO FOR LIFE!!!” Lol
"What good is it to hold on to roles?" Cut to Hiddleston as Thor. Bwah hah hah!!!
Oh, JTE you a funny guy.
Nick Nolte auditioned for Han Solo, and I kind of want to see that. And he is going to be in The Mandalorian, Roth is right we do get all the things.
25:10 Does Joe Starr mean *Skeet Ulrich* from "The Craft"? Because Jeremy Sisto wasn't in The Craft. =/
you made it guys! you made it x')
Brad Pitt plays a great stoner, remember the guy that never left Rapaport's couch in True Romance? Even when a skinny James Gandolfini and his gang of Italian mafiaoso's show up at the front door.
I always remember Sisto from Six Feet Under.
Happy New Year!
My fave is finding out that Spielberg offered the role of 'Jurassic Park's' Dr Alan Grant to Harrison Ford. I love JP but man, seeing Indiana Jones in that movie would have been amazing!
not enough Michael Joseph Jackson
SJU = Sisto, Jeremy Universe
Oh that Dan look when he says "Directed by Joe Dante"
We know your pain
At one point I've lost the point of the discussion and I have no idea what was going on XD
I love all of you goofballs.
Thor Hiddleston is a cursed image
I get the feeling they haven’t seen Peaky Blinders
Angus Young is the most popular member of AC/DC and he's the guitar player. In terms of overshadowing, perhaps not Bon but Brian for sure
Van Halen is close because the band is named after him, but David Lee Roth was quite popular. Wow I’ve never typed Roth while not referring to Ms. Cornett.
Charlie Sheen from Lucas would have been a great Peter Parker imo
15:00 the band you're looking for is... Van Halen. Also, The Who.
Suburgatory was a very funny show
