I just got the worse gout attack in ten years of having gout, I literally couldn’t walk because it was in my left ankle. After listening to the video I realized I had eaten a lot of shrimp recently so I guess that might have been the culprit. I just purchased a Uric acid tester and I’m testing myself once a week and my numbers went up to 9.4. I was just recently diagnosed with CKD and it has scared the life out of me. My pee since I had back surgery about 8 months ago is constantly yellow.

I have gout and a chronic kidney disease too, I have the chronic kidney desease since I was 9 years old and I develop gout when I was 16, since I haven't been able to successfully control the gouty atacks (daily, I'm taking 300mg of allopurinol, and 0.5mg of colchisine at the same time), and my uric acid is still over 9.7 mg/dl even tho I have a restricted low protein diet, eat a lot of fruit, do not eat much candies and I do a lot of workout (when the pain is not really strong).
My question is, which medication can I take to help me to deal with the pain? I have already tried Tramadol but isn't helpfull to deal with the pain.
    thank you for your attention

@@manuelcantos1347 Actually pretty good thanks :)
At the end I wasn't able to find anything could help me decrecing my uric acid so I keep taking the 300 mg of alopurinol. The change was I started to train more constantly and even trained when I got the gouty attacks, was extremelly painful but I forced myself to train even with my arms and legs swolled and eventually I realized when I did that I recover faster from gout (from 2 weeks with pain , it passed to be 1 or 2 days).
After I started a more intense weight training my gout attacks disappear and I haven't had a gout attack in more than a year and a half. :)
I wasn't sure if I should answer since this was someting I wrote a long time ago and while I was in pain but I hope my story could help others with gout pain to tell them , there is always a way to move foward.
Thanks for taking the time to read all of this, and have a nice day. :)

I need some impormation to you juan david. I have CKD STAGE 3A decease and also gout . You said that you never been attack by your gout for almost a year. What did you do? What food you eat? What medicine you take. My doctor told me to continue drinking febuxostat 40mg and eating 3 to 4x of boiled egg a week, fruits and vegetables. But when i eat 1 boiled egg and 1 medium banana. I feel little pain on my right foot. I do walking every time. Can you tell me what you do everyday? Do you still take allopurinol?

@@manuelcantos1347 I have never tried febuxostat , I still take allopurinol 300mg, every day, I take allopurinol before breakfast because it makes easier for me to just take it and not think too much about it . my stage of CKD was 2 (I haven't see a doctor in a around a year because after the pain stopped I was finally able to found a Job and really didn't had much time nor will to go and later due to the corona almost every medical centers are closed or only attending emergencies). I eat a lot of fruits and tried several home remedies like drinking celery and lemon water before breakfast but didn't had much luck to be honest (maybe you can give it a try , every body react defferently).
For my particular case, I realized gouty attacks was triggered by 2 things : a lot of stress and not been able to poop in several days (for the CKD I took for many years Calcium carbonate and also been so sedentary wasnt helping me to make things easier)
Mate the truth is, that I started to do calistenics because the gout had limited my mobility to the point I struggle even to lift a plate of food and I was unable to move my arms or legs properly so even walking around the house was painful ( also I had the same tingling sensation of the toe you described but my biggest problem was my knees), I was sick of it so I started to do push ups (with the knees of course) , australian pull ups , and sit ups .
Eventually I realized I recovered some mobility and also the excercise made easier for me to poop.
Basically, I keept taking allopurinol and keep the same low protein diet of the CKD and a rich fruit based diet, the only change in my life was I started to move myself more.
If your case is similar to mine and the gout is maily trigered for not been able to poop I recomend you to buy olive oil and take one spoon every day (was a remedy I learn not so long ago and it works, for make pooping easier and often, I dont like the taste but if you mix it with your lunch is not that bad ).
Also , There is something I did several times , and was training even while I had the gout attacks (was painful beyond description to the point I fainted more times I remember) but somehow for me personally worked , I pass from 2 weeks of pain to 2 or 3 days maximum. This is just something I started to do due to despair, I dont know if could work for anyone else but helped me so I think I should say it.
My personal recomedation it would be to try to identify If there is something triggering your gout attacks, I know most of the times the attacks seems like random but if you see careful enough sometimes you can see patterns, E.g. try to change for a week the boiled egg for chicken brest (talk to your doctor to see the amount of protein you can take before doing this) and see how you feel .
I did exactly that, until I realized the common theme with me was lack of pooping.
also, I recommend you to do some workout, even if is just riding a bike or walking , even if you dont have much mobility problems as I used to have, working out helps you to sleep better (which helps with recovery), pooping and even gives you a better mood.
Good luck mate , and I hope you find your patern soon.
