Sometimes showing that u are a human too that can cry and make mistakes to ur kid might change their views of u for the better and have a better understanding parent-child relationship.
He probably isn't talking about schizophrenia, he's probably talking about him telling himself he's not a good father, he's the reason his friend and family died, stuff like that
I don't think he meant literally I mean I could be wrong but he could be talking in a metaphorical sense I have really bad anxiety and depression and PTSD and sometimes it feels like your inner voice your inner critic as therapist would call it is a little too loud sometimes telling you you're a failure and you're not good enough and why are you still here and your child would be better off without you and so on and so on this is your inner critic it is formed in your childhood and it can get really hard to deal with your mental health when you're self critic is stronger because of grief and loneliness and sometimes a little child that innocent who depends on you can make things just that much easier we go on because of our children and because of our loved ones I do not personally have any children but I do have an almost 3 year old nephew who I would kill for he is the most precious thing I have ever seen in my life so innocent and sweet and he's my little cuddle bug I see him all the time and for my mental health sometimes all it takes is his laugh to make me smile and genuinely joyful for a little while so I do not believe he was talking about literal voices and even if he was I have multiple friends who have schizophrenia who have children of Their Own it is perfectly normal to raise children while having mental health issues not only is it normal but most people are doing it without even realizing they have any just depends on how you're raised and what you have access to

That glass must’ve been special to him. It must’ve been his mother‘s urn.
