Leonard and Raj should take note: This is the ONLY time in the entire series Sheldon EVER refers to either of them as a "genius!"
he never really disrespected Raj for his intelligence, did he?
@@user-fy8hm2px4tsometimes. Usually, he only insulted Raj’s intelligence when he insulted all the other guys at once.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂

"... the loveable foreigner who tries to understand our ways & fails."
@@youmustcreateachannethat’s more insulting raj social skills than intelligence
"I already mooched dinner of you guys "
And there you got the answer 😂😂

She admits it)
and their wifi.
Her reasoning is far more honorable than their reason for letting her into their lives, imho.
it's mooched off not of
"A group of geniuses and their friend Howard"😂😂
Highly educated adults and Joey
Lol I know right
I know huh, that line made me laugh out loud. 😂😂😂
“Let me see where he’s going with this”
I mean at least this confirms he (or maybe just someone in the group, knowing Sheldon) considers Howard a friend...
"Her ridiculous dream of becoming an actress....."😂😂😂😂😂
Howard had no idea the "hang on let's see where he's going" would come back to bite him 😂😂😂😂
she sent that one right back over the net. ;)
@@epbrown01 Yup! 😂😂😂😂😂
“Let’s see you come up with an explanation as to why this woman hanged out with us all the time” that’s a very solid point.
Not true. She also loves them, trying not to show it too much.
they have become friends
Plus free wifi, food, rent, etc!
She hangs out with them all the time to mooch dinner.
And for free wifi
Wdym? 😭😂@@justsaiyan3294
And because she's just as big a frightened social misfit in need of acceptance as the rest of them, they all just don't realize it.
They asked her to join them, now they git delusional that she has a purpose
Not true. She also loves them, trying not to show it too much.
Then it hits her...How is she going to survive...She has no prospects...No marketable skills...😅😂
So she decides to date Leonard.
I don't know about skills, but she certainly has assets.
@@loverlyflowerschaching861 The alternatives were Sheldon (just no), Howard (really no), or Raj (apparently not a total no, but a really awkward solution all the same). So like Sheldon once said, as far as their group goes, Leonard is a veritable mack daddy. XD
Sheldon as the Riddler would work so well with explanations like that in riddle form.
I'd enjoy seeing Batman punch Sheldon in the face...repeatedly.~
@@BSC8987 Exactly. And the look of disappointment in his face as someone fails his riddle and is put to death in front of him.
If DC knew how to make movies like (most of) Marvel
Her ridiculous dream of becoming an actress lies shattered....😅😂
“And then one day she meets a group of geniuses…and their friend Howard.” Burn! Hahahaha!
In a way, his theory was proven right about Penny.
Things that could have saved the ending of this show/made it more realistic…
1. Howard and Bernadette near divorcing and Howard growing as a character when he realises how much she means to him and how he can be more helpful.
2. Penny making it into the arts in another way…perhaps a a stand up comedian telling jokes about her geeky friends.
3. Penny not getting pregnant and Leonard accepting that women don’t have to have kids to be happy.
4. Raj actually being with someone by the end of the series rather than being both the only non-Caucasian member of the cast and also the only one still single.
5. Leonard’s mother finally growing to appreciate him, then suddenly dies and this then brings him closer to his father.
Not true. She also loves them, trying not to show it too much.
Leonard finding a more suited partner. An raj happy alone (i prefer sheldon alone but that ship sail unfortunly
@@josephchambers2000lol you are a true leftist.
these are YOUR ideas. Of course you think they are better😅 Leonard knows women can be happy without kids but HE wants kids. All the characters grew a lot. Some people stay single. Raj would eventually find someone.
They forgot that Penny is their guardian angel...
Howard looked so irritated at Penny 😂
I was looking at Raj, amazing how he can sell a scene without saying a word.
She was placed there to keep an eye on Leonard and Sheldon. Remember they blew up an elevator. Ever wonder how she could afford to get an apartment on her Cheesecake Factory waitress salary?
Sheldon’s theory would explain A LOT about Penny
Thing is exactly right about penny
An app to identify mathematical formulas is too niche to likely be profitable. Penny’s idea of an app to identify shoes would actually work effectively, especially when the episode first aired. Even more so if it specifies which places have the right size.
Not true. She also loves them, trying not to show it too much.
@@marckempe2143 Exactly. They are far from being able to take profits from their geeky actions. Meanwhile Penny with her real street-smart would actually make money because, well, she thinks like ordinary female and knows what ordinary women want. :) Unfortunately many good ideas were killed during this show.
This reminds me of all the times I heard people claiming Penny was a spy like the Korean one Leonard sleep with.
Joyce Kim
"there's your answer, free food"
And WiFi !!
0:21: "One day". "She meets a group of geniuses". You mean LITERALLY THE DAY SHE MOVED THERE???!!!
Sheldon doesn’t even have to try and be condescending and he pulls it off with ease.
Let’s see where he’s going with this…
Penny does, in fact, have a marketable skill, she's just too ethical to do it for money! 🤣
Not true. She also loves them, trying not to show it too much.
Free food and free WiFi is money...
Howard should have kept quiet
Howard should be quiet all the time, but that would ruin this creepy character. :)
@@elah1023 TBH, his character does grow ... why Bernadette marries him.
As an engineer with master's, that hurt.
Best TV series ever!
His theory explained why Penny basically hanged out with them and went to their apartment
Not true. She also loves them, trying not to show it too much.
Explanation: mooching meals.
To quote Howard, "Yeah, he's going win a Nobel Prize."
Not true. She also loves them, trying not to show it too much.
Jokes work better with humor.
She gave away the reason herself: mooching food
She's a spy
Say what you want about Sheldon but he's absolutely right about penny. She actually had no acting career, was a terrible waitress at the cheesecake factory, spent all her money on clothes and shoes, couldn't afford food or Wi-Fi, and was a total moral
Ouch, a total moral is a pretty spicy insult
@@Chikov2 Not as spicy as brain-dead moron which only certain qualify like politicians
@@Chikov2I was also considering brain dead moron but that's in a bit harsh
"Hey! Wait a minute!"
i would pay good money for a spin off where sheldon creates a device to observe parallel universes and there is one parallel universe where this is actually canon and penny, just like Joyce Kim, was a spy sent to rob the gang of their data and investigations
Free food, duh
And free WiFi...
to steal dinner and sleep with 2 of them; hell she married 1
Not true. She also loves them, trying not to show it too much.
only slept with 1. Only kissed Raj
@@surlespasdondine According to Sheldon 31 men + Kurt, Mike, David, Zack, Raj, and Leonard
@@solar75wind do you really need to spam nearly every post with the exact same reply?
@@surlespasdondine Technically, they did sleep together, in the literal sense.
Not for nothing but early seasons Penny was a grifter in the highest degree. The fact she had the gall to call Alicia out for taking advantage of the guys is the highest form of hypocrisy.
Not true. She also loves them, trying not to show it too much.
@@solar75wind agree. She is a friend to them and helps them when she is needed.
Hmm I wonder if Sheldon could figure out me, I think he did a lil bit since I do represent a penny personality a bit but can sheldon figure out everything about me as a whole the good, the bad, and the ugly all together and mysteriously as well
Well she's broke and they keep offering her food for one thing.
She is also lonely and isolated, her old friend group is only full of party girls competing for the slim pickings of 'decent' party boys while she's struggling with a lot of baggage she isn't adressing.
So she got a group of unconditional friends that let her make mistakes and won't laugh at her when she fails. Then later she aquires a group of besties that are all emotionally tied to them further, solidifying a found family.
Sometimes it's those 'found families' that save us.
I dunno, Sheldon. The ability to steal an idea and sell it, sounds like a pretty good marketable skill to me. You're contradicting yourself.
Also saying her dream of being an actress is ridiculous, is wildly inaccurate on two levels... it introduced her to her future husband, and explains perfectly why she hangs out with them. I've never seen better acting from Penny than when she forces herself to stay friends with Sheldon.
Kind of broke the 4th wall. In reality, it is unlikely for them to hang out together but this is a TV series
Great breakdown 👌
Not true. She also loves them, trying not to show it too much.
Sheldon is basically describing pennies, life, and good for Penny for walking out
She couldn’t handle the truth
Well one reason that’s obvious to me is she finds them strangely fascinating at least enough of the time to keep coming back. Leonard is the biggest draw though.
0:17
actually she DOES have marketable skills….
….MARKETING.
Great theory!
Not true. She also loves them, trying not to show it too much.
I agree with Sheldon, Penny doesn't have any other talent besides mooching and using her good looks to get what she wants.
Good looks and sex. Penny often pays for things with sex. She's a true 304.
Not true. She also loves them, trying not to show it too much.
Story line aside, I have a neighbor like that.
The poor girl needs to feed herself
I still think Sheldon should have said "why this beautiful woman hangs out with us"
0:21 “ and then one day she meets a group of genius…. And their friend Howard” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Edit sorry I misspelled
Howard: Hey, I…
Penny: Hang on, let’s see where this is going.
Their friend Howard
their*
I really wonder whose idea it was to pull back her bangs like that all the time. It looks ridiculous.
Simps
Well if it was real world I'd venture to guess she was tired of being treated like a piece of meat and that they were her safe space. But then there was Howard's constant flirting in the beginning so my theory would be a no go.
I love the evolution of Penny’s character as in the early seasons it was clear she was a just mooching off the boys for free stuff but grew to genuinely care for them
S: Let's c u come up with a reason she hangs out with us.
L: (looks at Penny... looks back at Sheldon easy... smiles looks back at Penny she gets free food, internet and lots of tips at work and me when we r on and not off again.
Penny gets up kisses his cheek and he gives her the new wifi password. PENNYGETUROWN and says c u tonight and walks out.
Raj and Howard go yup that's it.. 🎉
Here is your answer - free food!
Penny was never funny. There was never any need for her.
This is completely irrelevant but I just ate the most amazing orange ever 😋😋

Sheldon is the most intelligent of the group when it comes to academics, but overall intelligence he's not as intelligent as the other main cast, while they aren't as intelligent as Sheldon at academics, he's not as intelligent as them when it comes to social situations or emotional situations. Imo, they're more of geniuses than Sheldon is
Sheldons only good at a few things, and the rest of the time, he's an idiot. People offend him, and he jumps straight to revenge.
Guy needs an ass kicking all around the block instead of being pampered.
This show mistakes intelligence for knowledge. While the two concepts are often mistaken, they aren't the same, and they aren't necessarily related either.
Knowledge is just the accumulation of information in one's brain. Intelligence is the ability to reason, understand, deduce, and make the best decisions with the information available.
These scientists may have a broad amount of scientific knowledge in their brains, but they don't display any abilities typical of high intelligence. Their reasoning and deductions are often hilariously flawed, they're baffled by or oblivious to many things going on around them, and they constantly make the worst possible decisions.
They're knowledgeable, but they aren't smart.
@@ericksunderland616 no, both of you have no clue what this show is about. The show doesn't mistake IQ for knowledge. this show accurately portrays that there are different types of intelligence, and we know this now, types of intelligence have been researched for decades now, There is general intelligence, emotional intelligence, abstract intelligence, musical intelligence, etc. Sheldon is intelligent and smart regarding high concepts, it's called general high intelligence, and mathematical intelligence, but he lacks emotional intelligence. In turn, Penny has emotional intelligence, and this show was essentially about Penny teaching the bunch of nerds about love and modern relationships, while they give her a little of their 'nerd, smart' world. This is why this show couldn't have worked without Penny, and why Penny& Sheldon's dynamic is crucial for this show - because it's the two opposite worlds colliding and complementing each other, providing both comedy and meaning, which is the whole point of this show. Sheldon's story is basically a retelling of the Rain Man movie with Tom Cruise and Hoffman - so about an incredibly intelligent (regarding high knowledge) savant who lacks social awareness and emotional intelligence on the level of a healthy adult. Sheldon is basically an incredibly intelligent child trapped in the body of an adult. Jeez, it's easy to understand. Penny was teaching a bunch of nerds about the one thing they had no idea about: the 'big bang' in a sense of love and sex.
