I always watched gaz and swear he used to drop the ball not guide it and was mesmerised on how he kicked so well but in this he does mention guiding it

To do a torp - is it basically like a banana kick but hold it like for the snap kick
This really helped my kicking IQ.
We all thought he was telling less experienced players how to kick but he was really trying to teach the other AFL teams to give them a chance.

Good tips! Question: why do we need the ball to spin end over end? Does the spin's momentum help get it through the air?
Stability through the air. When the ball "floats", it is more likely to move with the air and drift. When you kick it end-over-end, the spin generates turbulence that helps to cut through the air, allowing the ball to fly more straight. Obviously, if wind speed is high enough, the ball is going to drift no matter what, but a spinning ball will drift less than a floating ball.

🤣 I remember Teddy Whitten (fark I miss that Man I can still hear their voices, the pair of them, in my head crystal clear😊) and Dwayne Russell calling that game, describing one of those l infamous goals that was booted virtually from centre at Kadina Park.
It was bounce-tap-Graham-goal almost as fast as you can say those words together. 🏆
@@BWNSPTV The one I was thinking of that should been a goal but barely missed the big sticks and went through for a behind was came from a mark Graham took in the center circle, then kicked the torp that went out of camera shot and came through for a behind. It was his 200th or 250th game, where a week or so prior he announced he was going to the NFL. If it had been a goal, it would have rivaled Malcom Blight's kick easily.

His right arm is straight all the way? Aren't u supposed to bend the arm slightly so ball parallel with the ground then push ball down by straightening the arm and tilting the wrist downward. The ball hits foot at 6 o clock rather than 5 oclock from that side. No wonder wasnt an overly accurate goal kicker. 45% accuracy

the n.w. are radical a.f.l. and there's the spirit docking there could be made to tie up a couple of hours before game so local eatery's get a bit of trade. they've got the planes [ jets ], landing and going back to essenden plus other teams would warrant flights from as far as freo' and brizzie, [ may sprout a couple of teams from the alice and darwin into league to keep the young ones busy ]. the more the merrier my mom always said. taztez.
