The best rendition of L'Elixir ever! Pavarotti's una furtiva lagrima is superb, not even his other performances, like at the Met In 1981 surpass this. And Mirella Freni is gorgeos, the best Adina.

Wonderful performance! While both Luciano and Mirella have a little more mature and darker voices, both deliver. Nucci and Montarsola are wondefful as well. Kudos to whoever kept this beautiful Donizetti opera pretty much intact! Giovannetti paces very well. Bravi tutti!

Pavarotti… Una voce per Donizetti. In assoluto!!! C'è stata anche un'epoca in cui Nucci non portava i suoni come solo un decennio dopo.
