Nice timelapse!
Thank you I watched your videos many times! Check out my house construction timelapse when you get a chance you may like it!
do you anchor it in place? or it seems very safe without the anchors in the floor? I am looking to get one of these but don't want to drill in the concrete
Power Jack Repair it's not anchored and it's not required, I bought the casters so I can move it if needed
Great video. Recently had a garage build with 10' walls with this in mind. What did you coat your garage floor with? Thx.
Craig Olson I bought an epoxy paint for garage floors at Home Depot, I didn't put the color chips in it though
What state are you in and who did the install
What's your recommend ceiling height if you want to get a 4 post lift that can fit one car on top and obviously one car below (let's say a normal sedan and a sports car on top) ?
And is the high raise garage door motors required?
Thanks in advance, love the video.
HKMediaChicago I'm not sure, I have 11' ceilings and the high rise motors but if you go on the BendPak website there should be a page that can help you
HKMediaChicago 9.5' would be the minimum height which is what I have. For a large sedan underneath I would say 10' is required.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Hello GiuseppeM: Did I see that you used a 110v outlet for power? The spec shows 220 so I was wondering how you powered it. Thanks....
Todd B hello, they sell 2 motors, 120V and 220V, the 220V is a little faster but I'm happy with 120, is fast enough.
Great, thanks for the info. The drywall in my new garage was hung today so I am getting close to ordering. i went ahead and ran 220 before drywall started about 9 feet up so that i could swing power overhead and not have to worry about cords. Appreciate you posting this video.
Was this professional install or DIY? How high is it to your garage door?
What model BendPak is that exactly? And round about what was the install cost? Did BendPak help you find the installer. Thanks
av8ndoc it’s a HD-9, on the Bendpak website there is a page that helps you locate an installer. Make sure you inspect the lift when it’s delivered because they often ship scratched units.
Nice. Had a couple of questions if you dont mind.
1) How long did it take altogether?
2) Although the likelihood is small, how easy is it to somewhat disassemble it to move to like the side of your garage, if need be?
Hi, professional installation took around 6-8 hours (they do this everyday). It can be a DIY project BUT you need special tools to lift the runways. The lift has casters, you can't see them in the video, so I can move it anywhere I want, it's heavy to push but doable.
Hi Giuseppe. Sorry, let me clarify.
I believe the casters let you move it around in the current rectangular form only, right? My question was more around, if you had to move all the four posts and ramp against the wall, could you do that easily?
How much did installation run?
Thanks!
+John Lai oh no that's a full job to take it apart, also like I said you couldn't lift the runways
Did you have the install guys take care of transportation to your location?
+otm646 yes Bendpak either ships straight to them or to the closest hub and the installer picks it up (they had a rolling bed to unload it on my driveway)
By any chance, do you live in the DMV and did SGS install your lift?
David Sethian Yes that’s him
GiuseppeM I thought I recognized those guys. They just installed a lift in my dads garage yesterday
So its not mounted to the ground?...
Wacky Ninja no it's free standing and can roll on casters, or you can bolt it down
pickup actually sounds strongry gpod other .
Bendpak says to use a forklift or crane to position the cross tubes into position. That's simply ridiculous. I'm planning on installing mine by laying the posts down and sliding the cross tubes in just like you did.
How long did it actually take?
drmarc83 around 8 hours
how do you close the door..
With the button 😂
what size of garage is that and ceiling hight
It's a 25'x30'x14' with high raise garage door motors
I got nervous every time someone walked close to the GT3 with a piece of metal....
obviously, it doesn't work since you didn't lift the car in the end.
ramps are sticking out of the garage..glad you didnt mount it
Pretty sure this doesn't meet their installation requirements of 3' clearance all the way around it.
Allen Cunningham Interesting they’ve actually seen this video and photos of the installation and didn’t say anything.
estos es que en pesaron la casa por el tejado son malos montando elevadores
