    Didnt he say he was setting up the release mechanism so you pull the handle away from the car, as not to catchl it. Then he fitted it pushing towards the car.

    I just bought the 8K lb version, I live close enough to Greenwood,IN so went and picked it up there. It is a bit different than this one, an adjustable locking plate is installed in each upright column and the cables were preinstalled,just needed to be routed to their respective columns. I was able to put it together myself with the aid of a small tractor with a front end loader to and into the garage and an overhead 1000 lb electric hoist. It's very well built and designed for a hobbiest/home garage, At $2000. I wish I had it 20 years ago !

    Good afternoon, hoping you can help me with two problems installing my life. First I have all 4 corners plumbed, the treads are level. When I go to lower the lift the entrance goes down like it should but the other end end hangs up and the cables go slack. Do you think its the lift cable not being adjusted correctly or is it something else? Thanks in Advance Dave

    it was a great video and i was wondering if it was worth installing myself and after watching your very well explained video i feel confident i could do it with help but why was the lock lever shown as pull at the first install and push at the end of the video? all hoist that i have seen have it pull towards the operator to lower. was there a reason for the change?

    I just buy a used lift and it come without pump... my question are on 120v how many amp this needed?
    Or on 240v... amp required ?
    Thank you great job !

    • @RedlineStands
      @RedlineStands  3 роки тому +1

      A 20 amp breaker on a 110 power unit is fine. You'll need a 30 amp double pole breaker if you go with a 220 power unit. Bear in mind, I am not an electrician and you should have a licensed professional verify any opinion I give you.

      You put the casters on and then allow the weight of the runways to push the casters down and lift the tower. It's super easy.

    I have two Model A's. I'm trying to make room in my Shop. My ceiling height is 10 feet. I got plenty of power. My shop is 30×40. Do you think this lift should work? Thanks

    • @dustingilmore2710
      @dustingilmore2710 6 років тому +1

      Hey Stephen, it should is the short answer. What you'll need to do is measure the height of both cars and add them together. Then add about 4" for the thickness of the runway and then also allow a couple of inches for lock maneuvering.

  • @bowlinglefty

    So, I noticed you didn't bolt the posts to the floor. Is this not needed? Also, are the rules for concrete thickness the same as for 2 post lifts? I've been told 6 inches concrete thickness.

    • @RedlineStands
      @RedlineStands  3 роки тому

      Depends. You can get away with no bolting the posts to the concrete if you're lifting lite-weight vehicles. I personally wouldn't lift a vehicle over 4500 lbs without the towers being anchored. Are the concrete requirements the same? Not even. Four posts are "usually" going to require less concrete. My advice is to check the spec in the manual of the specific lift you're interested because it varies from lift to lift based on design.

  • @turbovette426
    @turbovette426 7 років тому +6

    I noticed at the end that your lock setup is opposite of the instruction video. You said to hookup the lever so it pulls away from the vehicle for release. Your finished setup operation is a push away lineage release.

    • @4mtarak
      @4mtarak 7 років тому +1

      Noticed at 16:38 it shows it pulling away from vehicle... But then at the end it does show it pushing toward. The way the long linkage rod was installed in the top of the T-handle at 16:38 is correct. At the end you can see it's installed in the bottom of the T-handle causing it to push inward. Magic of editing! ;-)

      You need to read the manual of the four post you've selected. The size of the baseplate and capacity will change the concrete requirement, so this question honestly cannot be answered here. Thanks Peter.

    Why do none of the titan lifts have ALI certification?

    • @4mtarak
      @4mtarak 7 років тому +2

      Mark, that's a valid question. Titan is working on some new lifts with the ALI cert. Titan has been around for about 10 years and manufactures offshore in hand picked factories that we visit on a regular basis. When starting out the aim was to produce quality product at a fair price targeting the hobbyist/enthusiast market. ALI does provide peace of mind from independent testing standpoint. It's just not something we did with the current model of products but it's in the process on some new models. With that said, we have affiliations with National Corvette Museum (7 of our lifts used in the Museum), MCACN (Official Lift) , Carlisle Events and more. CORSA Performance Exhaust, Cooks Headers, American Racing Headers all use our lifts at events for their installs. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us directly at contact@titan-lifts.com or give us a call at 888-908-4826. We'd be happy to answer any questions you have.

    Low quality lift that is made to raise up to full rise, set on locks and stay and is not intended for daily or even regular use. Purely a storage lift and the cheapest brand on the market that actually has a name. Titans are to lifts as Saturn's are to cars. Cheap shit that never should've made it to begin with...

    • @RedlineStands
      @RedlineStands  2 роки тому

      Damn. Tell us how you really feel. It's funny, I'll grant you that Titan lifts are not on the same level of quality as the Challengers we carry, but the odd thing is, the Challengers never sell. Today, our cheapest Challenger is about $6300 and I don't think we've ever sold one. I'm not sure what else to offer you guys. I have expensive lifts that only the wealthy can afford, and affordable lifts that according to you, are shit. We've sold a bunch of these Titans and I very rarely have unhappy customers with them. I'm glad others see the value in the Titan, because I'm obviously not going to sell one to you sir. Have a nice day.

    • @revivingretro

      "not intended for daily or even regular use" .... is this your actual experience or just an opinion? Because for what it's worth, my personal experience contradicts your opinion. Having half a dozen show cars in my collection I use a similar lift on a regular basis, especially during summer months, primarily to inspect and clean the undersides of the cars before and after shows. Have had zero issues. I can easily afford a BendPak, but decided to try a similar lift to this at a low price point figuring I would just give it away if it didn't work out. Needless to say, I've yet to give owning this a second thought. If I was running a full blown shop, I'd certainly opt for a something like a BendPak - but these lifts (Titan and similar) are a great alternative for the hobbiest.
