You put the tracks on the wrong way round! The tank “tread” is supposed to be on the outside running surface, not inside running on the wheels. Having now built a lot of Cobi sets (mostly ships) I agree with your comments about brick types and quality. They are better than Lego with more detail. The builds are very enjoyable,
You are correct. Those teeth on the treads should be towards the wheels. Easy enough fix.
You know you're right. They are inside out. I had to take a closer look at thumbnail of the video to notice that.

Thanks for the review Dr Jake. I made the mistake of buying a Cobi tank some time ago… now, many tanks later, I have a serious display space problem.
I’m have the 3 version of the tank tiger 131 , 5 sherman , the 2 version of royal tiger , a abrams 😁 , the AHS CRAB , the polish tank twerdy
My planes : the mirage , rafale , bf 109 , spitfire , the A10 warthog , the dewoitine , c47 " invasion stripe
I just finished the HMS Warspite and there actually was a misshaped sloped piece which was quite odd. I have built about 12 Cobi sets and that's the first time I have encountered this problem. On the whole Cobi is excellent.
What a set! Yet to build a Cobi set but I must say that I’m very impressed with the way that they look. They seem fantastic! Top vid Jake, great build!

Try putting a Lego minifig head on the Cobi figures body and you’ll be amazed how great he suddenly looks. The cap and headset both fit perfectly too!
Panzer (german) = Tank, Kampf (german) = Battle, Wagen (german) = wagon/car ... :-) Looks great.
more like: amored battle vehicle, but for the Tiger, tank would be a good word ;)

Coby is actually pretty good on making the details of the tank, but the mini figure was a little bit too boring, but I still liked it, just not the minifig that much. Really looking foward to your next Lego video by the way , hope you think of an idea to do it.

@@DrJakesVeryBritishReviews Lol, they're the wrong way round, there are little teeth on one side that lock into the wheels, also if your tracks are staying on then they're too tight, and it looks it, they should be resting on the top of the wheels. Just add another link, and flip the tracks around and it should work better.
In my opinion this is the best Tank Cobi made. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 Best regards from Germany 🤘🏻 🤘🏻 🤘🏻 ☺️ I also have this Tank. A very cool Set is also the Stuka. But this is an old Set with Stickers. And yes, the tracks are on the wrong way 😉 but you know it.... The best plane at the moment is the new Corsair in my opinion 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

05:59 - well handled... only a professional UA-cam viewer would have noticed that - it will have passed the average Johnny by completely. And oh yes... Cobi is an incredibly good manufacturer, and I enjoy buying from Bricktanks. I blame you for that.

I do plan on getting this tank. But I do want to point out that if you look at picture of the box (both sides) of this version, which is the standard version, and the limited edition version of this tank. You'll notice that the smoke launchers on the turret aren't included in this one, their only in the limited edition version of this tank. Along for other minifigures too. But just look at the boxes of both versions of this tank to see the difference between the two.

How the hell did you manage to put the tank tracks on insideout? The track teath go on the inside of the track, not the outside.

You should review the HMS warspite. I have ordered it and its on the way.
This is very cool, but not sure now well a bunch of tanks would sit against my LEGO stuff. I was supposed to fly from Shanghai (where I live) to west China tomorrow to do some high altitude trekking, but due to a recent COVID outbreak in Chengdu the trek has been cancelled. Might head to a nearby LEGO store tomorrow and purchase myself the LEGO Daily Bugle model with the reimbursements... every cloud has a silver lining and all.
I'll have to check out and see whether COBI is available in China.

Great video, I've only had two sets (tanks) from Cobi and I'm already a big fan - I'm beginning to prefer them over the 'leading brick model manufacturer' for quality and over reasons tbh. Also I just thought I'd point out that you've put the tracks on inside out as the bit sticking up on the outside is suppose to go through the slits in the wheels to keep the track on ^^
But yeah, I thoroughly recommend Cobi/Bricktanks and I look forward to seeing your reviews on the new brands Bricktanks are going to take on.
