Mate, how do u manage 60 65 out the bike?? My 2019 is in 50 55 bracket. Plus i get 300mile out a tank. I ride full throttle and never have i hit 65mph. Woys the trixk ma friend? Lol 👍😁
I took off the boxes and the rear crash bars. The two side boxes are pretty wank anyway. I was going slightly downhill too lol. My MT125 dies 65 in 4th 😂 Thanks for stopping by. 🤘🏻
Had to laugh at "kin hell, has Alan's snack bar opened"..must be a Yorkshire thing as I'm in Leeds. Good info about the Sinnis. Looking for a second bike and all the stuff about servicing and costs v useful. Subscribed mate, thanks.
Do you find the clutch really stiff? I had Sinnis RetroStar 250 which was a cracking bike but had to flog it because of a painful left wrist. It had a shite headlight too.
I was so up for one of these, (first bike) the comments about crap wheels and chain it’s got me thinking hard! (Subbed to help out, your last comment cracked me up)
Geoff Saunderson hi mate! Thanks for stopping by! Never once had an issue with the wheels or brakes thankfully. The tyres Sinnis have on it are, for want if a better word, crap. I have some Avon road riders on and they are very very good. Chain isn’t great but a better chain is only about £30-40 or so. It’s just stretchy. I’m taking my big test early next year but if I wasn’t and wanted a new bike I would buy a terrain again. Without question. I’ll be making a new vid soon about living with it long term. Stay tuned!
Thanks mate, I went and checked one out at my local dealer, so impressed with the looks, vids don’t do it justice, it’s proper meaty, I’m 6,4 and I felt very comfortable on it. I’m 45 so guess I’m having a bit of a midlife crisis lol. Want to do some lite green laneing with a view to getting something bigger in a couple of years and having a go at the TET. Really like the after market screen as well. How much am I looking at roughly for tires? (I’m thinking I’ll get all these upgrades when I buy it, see if I can wangle a deal on them fitting it all for me 🙂)
I'm 53 mate and 5'6. Ridden bikes for nearly 20 years and I still love it. Went on a run to Matlock with a mate of mine who was on a 1000 fireblade, vid to follow. It made me want to get a bigger bike that's for sure. CBR 500 R for me when i take the test.
It is only for the first year to keep your warranty valid. Basic oil change, filter plug etc isn't hard to do. I'll pop into into a shop at winter time to get them to do an all round check. Cheers for stopping by!
Most servicing on a small bike is easy,- chain, oil, spark plug and air filter your dealer can order the parts for you and it will take about 2-3 hours but if you have a mate then about 1 hour. and 2 beers( refer to manual or the online site.)
was thinking of changing my Derbi cross city for 1 of these as they look a good size also for a 125,but after your review think the Derbi will be staying ,cheers for the review though!
You know that’s weird about the left leg getting caked in crap, my cbr125r did exactly that, no clue why, plus go through a massive puddle generally only the left got super soaked😂😂
@@wolfe1970 back in the old days there were a lot of 175/200cc versions of popular 125s. Eg DT125/175 KMX200 etc. That's harder to do with a 4-stroke, but a slightly larger engined 125 would be nice.
All the negatives you mentioned are because its a budget bike, if all those had better parts its wouldn't be a cheap bike anymore, you pay for what you get.
A 125cc is far too small for real tourer, it is great for day tripping or short trips. A 350 or 500 would be better and easier to ride. Yes, tyres is issues with Asian bikes going back 30-50 years, compound used for hot climate not suitable for the cold / wet European weather. So change tyres ASAP ( Avon/ GoodYear /Mitchenlin etc. )
Mine fell to bits after 2years. Dangerously underpowerd, breakdown after breakdown hard to get parts! Worse bike i have ever owned. I have had a kawasaki kmx since 2002 and its solid never had to replace anyparts other that usual chain sprockets n break pads..
Some people on here have had one for years without issue. I think it depends on who is quality control that particular week. Yeah an MT125 is the bike for me. £2k more but, 15bhp, assist/slipper clutch. ABS, 85mph maybe more with a decent can and air filter in it. Plus reliability and you’re able to get parts quickly. After the Covid year we’ve had I really try to avoid Chinese stuff. Changed my iPhone to Samsung etc. I emailed Mr Sinnis and he’s not even bothered to get back to me. No surprise there really. I would advise anyone against one of these things unless they only plan to keep it until the warranty dies. Cheers for stopping by 🤘🏻
Jason Woods Thanks for dropping by anyway. I work in an area surrounded by women. I don’t swear very much in real life out of respect to them and the Mrs. My helmet gives me all the swearing room I need. It’s my release basically. I have looked back at some of my videos and I agree, I do swear too much. It is a shame you gave up. Comment taken on board. Thanks for the feedback 👍🏻 Who knows, you may congratulate me in a month for not dropping so many F bombs. 🤔
Thank you for the honest reply. My son is young and loves my bike. He watches UA-cam videos on it all the time. This one is inappropriate for him. Hence why I gave up on yours. Agree about the servicing anyway
Video coming soon about some fresh thoughts I'm having on The Sinnis. Minus the swearing. This channel is for over 18's but you're right, sometimes I do go too far. Ex navy you see lol
Sheffield Dave and Fred The Sinnis Terrain I’m Ex Army , infantry. Just saying this attracts a wide audience and the swearing isn’t necessary. Just concentrate on the bike
Came for the review, stayed for the commentary.
Welcome!
Good video brother, straight to the point with no rubbish.
Thanks mate.
It's not to everyone's taste, but if people don't like it they don't have to watch.

Actually mate the clutch has always been sweet. Easy short pull.

All that servicing cost goes to the motorbike shops, not the manufacturer
More of a general chat about the bike rather than likes and dislikes.

Next years model is reported to have more power. A whole 14 HP!
@@sheffielddavemt125adventur3 hi and no doubt an inflated price !
Good vlog thnx.
What is with the chain? Tighten every week?
At least once a month matey

Because all the dirt on the roads gets washed into the gutter, thats on the left
Great video 👍
Thanks Jakub!

Is it the 380?
No mate, the 125.
'' that dont look like a sowing machine'' ahhahaha
A 250cc version would be near perfect.
Hopefully next years version will be considerably better in the HP department.
Thanks for stopping by!
@@sheffielddavemt125adventur3 I think there's a 380 now?
They do a 380 version but from all the reviews its trash, all have said they prefer the 125cc

Can’t understand why you can’t undue a nut and service it yourself , piece of cake , likely would only take half hr ? Cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧

Couldn’t agree more mate, my new MT125 costs much more but you can feel the actual quality while riding it.
Took it for its 600 mile service today.
Alan Snack Bar🤣🤣🤣
I am Muslim but find it Hilarious.
No offence taken.😀
So it only does 70 miles/galon? surprised. some riders reporting more. Maybe on a new terrain 2022.
