    thats the beauty of a 125/150 2 stroke. it demands your attention and teaches you how to work a bike. sets you up perfectly for bigger bikes

      I don't want the wieght, coming off a 450 I don't want to swap bikes with my friends. As soon as I do I want back on my 125. Lol
      It too much fun whipping it around as apposed to throwing something heavy around. in our area 450 power isn't needed.

    I have one and I bought it for specifically trail riding . I love it, the suspension combined with lower compression & and lower ignition curv makes it a fun bike for the trails. I ride it every weekend. 20 + hrs on it now and super fun . And it's a great hill climber, especially climbing over tree roots and such, the suspension is perfectly tuned for this type of riding. I did a lot of research before I bought this bike and couldn't be happier.

    I've had one for a few months now, coming off of a yz 450. I can honestly say I won't go back to a 450. In western WA there isn't a whole lot that the 125x can't do. It is also the most fun I've ever had on a dirt bike.

      @@dirtniron so light and nimble with great power delivery. I actually bought it specifically to ride Cahuilla, Pala, and some private tracks in the area. It has served me well. However, I took it to Ocotillo Wells this past season and it was the most fun riding I have had out there in 10 years. You can literally put the bike anywhere you want. I like riding on the pipe more so for me I prefer it over the ktm's. On flat ground will handle almost any weight rider, going up hills you’ll want something with more power. Riding a Yz125 improved my riding drastically which I’m super thankful for.., However the big downside is piston lifespan, I’d be lucky to get 15 hours out of a piston. Tried aftermarket needles, jet combinations, everything. Fact is racing them or revving it out at 14,000 rpm going up a mountain means they don’t last long. 70 hours later on my 250 2 smoke runs strong as the day I built it

    “Iz guuuud beginner biek”. Can’t really agree with that statement. The 125x is no beginner bike. I know a lot of online channels considering theme selves a sort of “authority” on all things moto but I’d hate to see a beginner think a 125x is a good starter bike.

    • @dirtniron
      @dirtniron  4 роки тому +6

      just sharing my 2 cents, there are different angles to look at it.. what is it that you think is not good for beginners? have you ridden 125x ? I agree with you that this is probably not the best bike to learn on, but the angle I had in the video is that it pushes you to stay alert, its light and power wont get you in the trouble easily.. but yea, its probably better bike for kids transitioning from smaller 2 strokes than for a total beginner. just for the record, I dont consider myself an authority, I am a guy like you riding dirt bikes and having good time.

    • @chadrides914
      @chadrides914 4 роки тому

      Dirt N Iron I would consider the 125x to be like “throwing a beginner to the wolves” so to speak. The bike simply requires more clutching, speed, and over all skill to operate than a bigger bore two stroke. I rode a 125x on an Mx track and owned a 125yz in my past. Own three yz250’s currently lol. I guess your right though, if a beginner doesn’t quit riding because of this bike they will have no choice but to become better quickly.

    • @dirtniron
      @dirtniron  4 роки тому +1

      Haha, thats funny. I think we see it similarly 😉 it’s definitely easier to start on smooth smaller 4 stroke.. thanks for for feedback
