Ahsoka's storyline isn't just a footnote in Anakin's, it's a handprint. It may have seemed like a bad idea at first, but introducing Ahsoka and making her Anakin's padawan completed Anakin's story arc in a way the films never could. When you rewatch the films, it's clear her handprint is still on his story, even when she isn't there.
Her leaving the order was probably enough to turn him to the dark side but he didn't goes to show the amount of shit he went through
i've never understood how people can say Ahsoka was a bad idea to add, she is SO critical to Anakin's development, and also his fall with the order. Including her was a piece I never thought I'd need so badly, but since I discovered her, Ahsoka has quickly become my favorite star wars character, period.
Ahsoka gave him a reason to hide his darkness as best he could... as shown by how it reared its head in times he was not around. He had to be responsible and teach her well. I truelly believe that she would have been able to stop his fall to the dark side
@@omalleycaboose5937 I do too. Thing is, Anakin was overall a lonely kid. Loneliness is the very feeling that makes people fearful of losing the things that they have in their life. Ahsoka managed to help ease the loneliness he felt.
@@ROOKllE Ashoka is one of my Favorite characters of all time. That poor Padawan went through HELL. Never a second of peace. Her mind was Always under stress, and yet she broke through every obstacle that stood within her way. And even if she knew she couldn't win, she stood her ground till she couldn't anymore.
I love how at the end, Anakin promises her that he won’t let her be hurt.
Yet Vader’s last words to her are “Then you will Die.”
It shows the difference in Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader.

You can see Vader look down when she says she won’t leave him again, like he’s trying to understand and forgive but can’t.
Its heartbreaking Vader and anakin are two complete different people and anakin is still trying to get out I just hope he didn't see the carnage he caused as Vader or hell fighting ahsoka for that matter

I actually cried during this. It's so much more emotional because we see Anakin and Ahsoka's relationship begin and grow throughout The Clone Wars, and then we see it end in Rebels.
Well, that's the good news. It hasn't ended now, it's been reborn. I've been waiting for the Ahsoka show for three years, just to watch an Anakin force ghost encounter; and there does seem to be finally some happy closure.

I remember seeing the Clone Wars movie for the first time and cursing Ahsoka to the wind. She was annoying, childish, everything I didn't want a Jedi to be. Yet, so many years later, here we are. Ahsoka Tano is, in my opinion, the best character Star Wars has ever created. And I cannot thank Dave Feloni enough to make her a reality. She is, hands down, my favorite character. I know Star Wars has created a lot of good characters. Some are amazing, like Thrawn with his cold and tactical ways. Some are badass like Jango and Boba, Fennec Shen, and even Mando. And then there are the truly exceptional works. And right atop that list, with pride of place, sits Ahsoka Tano. The fact that they managed to turn this annoying ass brat into such a character over all these years... Its nothing short of a miracle.
Thank you for reminding me of all that I have witnessed during my time with the clone wars series. Its 2022 and yet I still find myself drawn to this video, just to relive those memories... The sheer amount of quotes you used... I can still feel them ring out.
It shows how good the clone wars was because all these fans are making these Ahsoka and Anakin video montages. This one was probably the best I've seen, but the best way to experience it is to just watch the actual episodes.

What makes these so great is the memory of watching the shows. The people who watch just these are missing out, lol. Great work though, love how you didn't miss a single moment!

0:44 you know when I first saw this scene I initially shrugged this off as just been an uncaring view from Luminara but that line carries so much weight seeing the last episode of season 5

I agree. After all, Barris was her padawan and she should've cared about whether or not something could've happened to her. That was the difference between Luminara and Anakin. He cared very much for Ahsoka like a big brother and was worried about her when she was stuck underground and did everything he could to help her. He also had faith in her that she would find a way out and she did. I'm not really sure how to feel just yet about Luminara. I definitely like Anakin a lot better. I'm currently on season 2 but I know Barris turns to the dark side later. I'm curious in seeing how she turns.

If the Jedi had embraced caring and nuturing their padawans more, perhaps none of it would have happened. If Bariss didn't have a master who was prepared to let her go being buried alive, perhaps she wouldn't have turned on the Jedi, Ahsoka wouldn't have been falsely accused, Ahsoka wouldn't have left the order, Anakin wouldn't have turned, and the galaxy would have been saved.

I had grown up with Ashoka, to see her leave on the s5 final, I was so heart broken, I loved her so much and she left. Seeing her in rebels was amazing. Watching this just makes me relive all the memories..

I've watched the finale of rebels again and for a second, when vader hesitated, I thought he would let ashoka go away. I hoped he was going to say "Leave now, it's your last chance"... But then comes the "Then you'll die" and I almost cried. )':
+AndreFuckingDek he went from 'We need not be adversaries' to 'Then you will die' in five minutes :/ I think in this moment of hesitation he was very close to actually suggesting her to join him (like it happened with Luke on Bespin), but he understood that there was too much light in her.

I started watching Star Wars when I was 6. The clone wars aired when I was 8. I had only seen glimpses of female Jedi before Ahsoka came in. Growing up seeing Ahsoka and seeing how she developed as a character really is a part of who I am today. She was the first female character I really had in my life. This is a beautiful representation of Anakin and Ahsoka’s story!

I watched this video years ago shortly after it went up and I have come back to watch it countless times since then. This is truly excellent and it really brings out the tragedy of their fates.
One of the best and most fleshed out relationships in the star wars verse. Topped off with the heart wrenching reunion in Rebels, bravo sir.

"This time, you had no intention of leaving him behind ... But then he took your life... and once again ... He saw you go, down the stairs ... but now, heading for the dark... not in the dark chamber of the sith temple, but engulfed by the darkness of Vader's mind. And that's how Vader made once more to the dark side erase a beautiful memory of Anakin... A memory that weakened Vader for so long... Ahsoka Tano"
Think about everything that happened since she left Anakin in The Clone Wars ... The symbolism laden with memories in the dialogue between them. The fact that she still alive was a great weakness to Vader.
For Vader get strong in dark side he needs to eliminate Anakin and to do that is necessary to cut all his old ties.
And he did it, with the Jedi Order (Revenge of the SIth), Ahsoka (Rebels) and Kenobi (A New Hope)...
But the dark side of Vader was not strong enough to break the bond with Padmé in this same way, and we see that when he realized that the tie still exist (Luke and Leia).
Come to believe that she still alive, to back more powerful, would increase the tragedy and once again we would have to see her fall to the Empire. This is because she did not defeat Vader and did not even change him, as we could see in Rogue One in which he remains cold-blooded, and probably more determined to the path of the dark side, without the existence of Ahsoka.
This is the same path that Kylo Ren is doing to kill Ben Solo. In the way that he's trying to "Finish what Darth Vader started". And that's why he is inspired by the figure of Vader's mask.

Luke said to vader that their is still good in him and he was right and maybe just maybe ahsoka and Anakin meet each other to reconnect only as friends and brother and sister.
