And yes it broke my heart too (and sad puppy is the perfect description) but while rewatching I realized that it was just the presence of others (especially obi-wan and bo-katan) that made her so distant. As soon as she and Anakin were alone she was relaxed and open. Same with Rex. They are her home. It was clear this episode!

REEE AMAZING DEAR LORD HELP ME I was right when I said this episode was going to make me freaking die inside. I literally started crying freaking AAAAAAAAH I swear to god Anakin’s look toward Ahsoka when he was about to leave just broke me. Literally the last time Ahsoka would ever see him before he tried to kill her. AND AHSOKA WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SHUT HIM OUT FIRST OF ALL- I’m sad they didn’t get a hug but literally the way he was still concerned about her and how he was just happy to see her throughout the episode was enough for me
RIGHT THERE WITH YOU! This episode completely destroyed me! I was laughing or crying the whole time and couldn't stop crying for two hours (my parents were concerned about me at lunch) And I agree. I had a lot of hopes for their reunion and felt pretty unsatisfied in that regard after the first time watching it. But after I had calmed down and watched it again I started to really appreciate what we got. The episode was amazingly written and all the scenes have so much meaning. Ahsoka and Anakin think they will see each other again in a few days. They don't need the goodbye we want, we need. So it makes sense. And it makes it even sadder...
Lilylilie Definitely lol. I gotta admit I pretty much laughed from the scene where Anakin is just like: “well I can hide here with you but the people can suffer longer” and “stay here. Ima just go pretend to sacrifice myself and hopefully not get killed” that’s not a perfect quote but just what I’m just doing as the “What Anakin really meant.” All the way to when they reunited then I started crying and cried even more when Anakin looked at her for a few more moments before they left each other pretty much forever, except they didn’t know. Freaking emotional rollercoaster. I feel like the animation is way better in this season. I love everyone’s expressions, especially Anakin’s lol Edit: Plo Koon in the fighter and Aayla on Felucia seriously got to me. And I honestly prefer the transmission scene from the episode than the trailer since Anakin trails off on his sentence. And I can also think of when Obi said he did have feelings for Satine, I can imagine Anakin thinking: “SEE. I KNEW IT. YOU DO HAVE A GIRLFRIEND.”

(Gonna post that on tumblr as soon as I finished the gifs I need for it, in case you are interested to read that) I did not expect to get something like the first 5 minutes in this episode but they were absolutely amazing. How Anakin just stands there, dodging a blaster and trolling his master... Perfect Anakin moment! And yes that pretty much sums it up. It really felt like an opening battle to a Star Wars Movie. And so many parallels to the TCW Movie! YES, the facial expressions were so on point. For my analysis I watched certain scenes frame by frame and IT IS JUST SO GOOD! Like this is not a TV show anymore. This arc is a movie! So cinematic, so beautiful, so detailed! Plo and Aayla...these shots really got me. I did not expect to get that emotional before the first scene actually starts! Honestly I get emotional every time I see Plo in a fighter... Yeah! Definitely! I really liked that they focused more on Anakin's face than on Obi-Wan's in that scene! Like you can see what he thinks and feels about his Masters romance. ...I just really love this episode! I have such high hopes for this arc!

Everyone’s like a hug is all I wanted but I’m glad they didn’t it’s too obvious the whole point is untill rebels she doesn’t know it’s anakin under the mask having them have a big goodbye when in reality they thought they’d see each other after one another’s missions were complete would suggest they knew this would be the last time they saw one another or that they’d not meet again it would be as if she knew what was going to happen remember in this episode they were still abit awkward and edgy around one another u don’t just randomly start hugging it out when you’ve got so much to talk about that’s what makes this so much better the fact that they never got to say goodbye or embrace one another as padawan and master again is that much more impactful and tragic
The Clone Wars is absolutely an amazing series but when I think about it I realize just how sad it is, watching all these amazing characters forming amazing bonds but knowing that all of them won't have a happy ending. 😔
At 19 years old he wasn't a bad teacher, at 22 he turned to the Dark Side and destroyed the Jedi but at 44 he finally defeated the Emperor after 22 years on the Dark Side, thus completely balancing the Force forever. In my eyes the Disney trilogy isn't canon but Rebels and The Clone Wars is as well as the Original and Prequel Trilogies.

if Vader and Ashoka had met and fought earlier than they originally did in rebels say closer to the events just after revenge of the sith i think that Anakin was not so far gone he would have told her to run and never look back or the next time they meet he will kill her.
You know... Ashoka really did deserved more then she got. I feel like Anniken was the only thing that kept her to keep trying to prove her innocence, to be able to see Anniken with her... not chasing after her. Ashoka never got to meet Luke and Leia (which is sad) because Anniken and Ashoka had a special bond and if it weren’t broken by the Jedi Council- they’d still be close. The thing is- The whole story line would be ruined No Rey Kylo Hon Solo And Chewy If they’d stay together... then and Padme were like father mother and daughter...
Anakin and Ashoka were more like siblings but yeah they were so close before Ashoka left and then the last time she ever saw Anakin she sorta pushed him away the never got a proper goodbye

Such a beautiful video. I loved the song you used. I finally finished watching The Clone Wars about two weeks ago or so and I loved their reunion. His reaction when he saw Ahsoka since the last time she left was great. He really missed her. I was also hoping for more scenes together but I was still satisfied with what we got. I'm like you. I don't ship Anisoka. I only see them as close platonic friends/siblings. I much prefer Anidala. At first I wasn't going to watch Rebels because, to be honest, I don't care for the animation style too much. Because I really like the style from The Clone Wars and I wish it was the same studio, but I've decided that I'm going to watch it. I heard it's good and you see Anakin become Darth Vader and I'm also excited to see the scene when Ahsoka and Darth Vader fight and Anakin comes back for a split second before Vader takes over again. I've already seen it but I would like to see what leads up to it.
Could Asoka have fallen in love with her Master Anakin? Had this ever happened between a master and a Padawan? What is the relationship between love and the Force? But upon reading comments below, I would have to agree with most of you that the bond between them is akin to father-daughter or brother-sister .
Their story is one of the most tragic ever. Still not over their ending, that’s why I’m imagining they are now together as force ghosts with Padmé and all the others (Ahsoka is probably dead as of Rise of Skywalker)
Tragic how Ahsoka initially wanted to believe that Anakin and Vader were two separate people. She wasn't prepared for the truth that Anakin walked into the temple but Vader walked out. Yet every day she followed him during the war she was already witnessing him march towards his destiny. Ahsoka could have died begging for it not to be true but instead she chose to fight for her old friend "I'm no Jedi".
Ahsoka deserves the Skywalker title more than Ray. Anakin Skywalker was OG Skywalker and Luke trained Ray and Ray fell in love with a Skywalker grandson but his last name is solo but she doesn't deserve the last name Skywalker. The only other person deserves it is Ahsoka.
The line dividing good and evil is very thin such that Anakin in his anger killed all those who tortured her mother to death. Yet Yoda and other Jedi of the council still allow him to play his role. They let him do a duty alone yet they know he had violated one of the Jedi's holy mantra. Revenge, anger, fear and others is a path to the dark force. So he is easily seduce by the dark side. Asoka left and Obi Wan leave him for a assignment. Yoda and others made a disastrous decision to assign him to Palpatine yet Anakin said he suspect the Chancellor is a Sith.

You can clearly see now, how Vader is so much different than Anakin was, and yet the same person. This whole story is a piece of art, truly.

In my eyes the Disney trilogy isn't canon but Rebels and The Clone Wars is as well as the Original and Prequel Trilogies.
I have seen so many of these this one is by far the best better than ad edits better than darth porg better than Star Wars thery you are so talented well done you really gave this hero a voice

say closer to the events just after revenge of the sith i think that Anakin was not so far gone he would have told her to run and never look back or the next time they meet he will kill her.
You know... Ashoka really did deserved more then she got. I feel like Anniken was the only thing that kept her to keep trying to prove her innocence, to be able to see Anniken with her... not chasing after her. Ashoka never got to meet Luke and Leia (which is sad) because Anniken and Ashoka had a special bond and if it weren’t broken by the Jedi Council- they’d still be close.
The thing is-
The whole story line would be ruined

Hon Solo
And Chewy
If they’d stay together... then and Padme were like father mother and daughter...
Anakin and Ashoka were more like siblings but yeah they were so close
before Ashoka left and then the last time she ever saw Anakin she sorta pushed him away

Such a beautiful video. I loved the song you used. I finally finished watching The Clone Wars about two weeks ago or so and I loved their reunion. His reaction when he saw Ahsoka since the last time she left was great. He really missed her. I was also hoping for more scenes together but I was still satisfied with what we got. I'm like you. I don't ship Anisoka. I only see them as close platonic friends/siblings. I much prefer Anidala. At first I wasn't going to watch Rebels because, to be honest, I don't care for the animation style too much. Because I really like the style from The Clone Wars and I wish it was the same studio, but I've decided that I'm going to watch it. I heard it's good and you see Anakin become Darth Vader and I'm also excited to see the scene when Ahsoka and Darth Vader fight and Anakin comes back for a split second before Vader takes over again. I've already seen it but I would like to see what leads up to it.

Could Asoka have fallen in love with her Master Anakin? Had this ever happened between a master and a Padawan? What is the relationship between love and the Force? But upon reading comments below, I would have to agree with most of you that the bond between them is akin to father-daughter or brother-sister .
Their relationship was more akin to a brother/sister bond but I could see them in a deeper relationship if things panned out properly.

Their story is one of the most tragic ever. Still not over their ending, that’s why I’m imagining they are now together as force ghosts with Padmé and all the others (Ahsoka is probably dead as of Rise of Skywalker)

Tragic how Ahsoka initially wanted to believe that Anakin and Vader were two separate people. She wasn't prepared for the truth that Anakin walked into the temple but Vader walked out. Yet every day she followed him during the war she was already witnessing him march towards his destiny. Ahsoka could have died begging for it not to be true but instead she chose to fight for her old friend "I'm no Jedi".

Ahsoka deserves the Skywalker title more than Ray. Anakin Skywalker was OG Skywalker and Luke trained Ray and Ray fell in love with a Skywalker grandson but his last name is solo but she doesn't deserve the last name Skywalker. The only other person deserves it is Ahsoka.

The line dividing good and evil is very thin such that Anakin in his anger killed all those who tortured her mother to death. Yet Yoda and other Jedi of the council still allow him to play his role. They let him do a duty alone yet they know he had violated one of the Jedi's holy mantra. Revenge, anger, fear and others is a path to the dark force. So he is easily seduce by the dark side. Asoka left and Obi Wan leave him for a assignment. Yoda and others made a disastrous decision to assign him to Palpatine yet Anakin said he suspect the Chancellor is a Sith.
