Great comparison. Lots of reviewers and commenters say that S24 exposure issues "should be fixed in a software update." Does Samsung have any kind of track record fixing camera software issues? From what I can tell, the S23 has the same over exposure issues, so that was never fixed. Seems like one shouldn't hold their breath that exposure issues will or can be adjusted.
Very nice!! With access to both of these devices, it's hard for me to pick one over the other. I'd like to dedicate myself to using one as a daily driver. As we know, there's the similarities in speed, screen resolution, and performance that make it hard.
@@lorent0591 I find It a very good phone, however Google has blocked off some features on the base model even though the pro version and the base one have the same chipset. I hate the fact I can't take 50mp pictures, despite the fact that the pixel 8 has a 50mp sensor, it compresses them in 12,5 MP.
Both good phones but glass is not an appropriate material for a phone. Not a question of "if" it cracks, but when. Glass also makes it extremely difficult to replace the battery, which phone makers don't want you to do because then you don't have to buy a new phone. Thank God Europe now requires smartphone companies to make them with user replaceable batteries now.
As much as a fan, I am of the Pixel 8 I say the S 24 takes it being able to use your phone as a desktop experience still blows my mind to this day one device that can really literally do everything until Google comes out with some type of desktop mode. This phone will always be second
Too much A.I. for me in these two phones when there's free A.I. Photo Editing apps available via, PlayStore, XDA Dev, list goes on. What makes 1+12 & 1+12R special is it bucks the A.i. trend in favor of practical hardware features.
The AI features are optional, either you can turn them off or just don't use them. Personally I would rather have it and don't need it, than need it and don't have it.
Well people who use smart phones for cameras aren't really photographers. Mainly point and shoot folk. You want photography, there is a phone for that or just get a camera.
I think most of the photo comparisons looked better on the Samsung side, except for a few of the environmental shots that looked better on Pixel. For the video portion, the background definitely looks a lot clearer in the Pixel clip, but your face looks kinda washed out. I prefer the way your face looks in the Samsung clip. I do think the video clips that were just of the environment looked better on Pixel though. Not too big of a difference on the audio comparison, but I do think the Samsung has a bit more depth in its sound.
Considering Tensor is still in sort of a "beta period", Googles chip has been holding up pretty well against the latest & greatest flagships. Sales continue to grow, with many reports of Google being the only smartphone manufacturer to gain significant YOY market share, the past few years. All during the worst smartphone market in a decade. And moving up to the #1 Android used in Japan rn (the world's third largest economy) is impressive. Can't wait to see how Google's 2024 Pixel 9 (Tensor G4) compares to this year's S24 and seeing what new Ai features Google brings to Pixel & Android this year. Im def looking forward to Tensor G5 on TSMC silicon and I think by the second generation we'll really start to see Google's plan for Pixel & "smart" phones.
Samsung will have a better processor, better performance and a versatile camera. The Pixel will have better cameras without a telephoto lens and good performance. The Snapdragon 8 will always beat the Tensor
I have a pixel 8, and my mom has the s24, I played around with her phone abit and the S24 is better but the pixel is still pretty good , but if I could and had money I would buy a samsung lol
I like pixel 8 battery life. However, s24 camera is better. The reason is P8 photo quality is not stable when taking photos in a dark environment compare to taking photos in a bright environment.
I exchanged my pixel 8 for a OnePlus 12 and couldn't be happier. The pixel 8 was a great phone but the battery life and charging speeds was abysmal. It would take forever to charge.

In Europe the s24 has an exynos chipset and costs a lot more than the pixel 8, this is why I bought the pixel.
Do you like it?

No, the front camera is terrible it doesn't have an autofocus. Just the pro 8

@JohnConnor636 I guess if you only afford pixel, go for it. It is a good phone if you are a low baller.

Is there any noticeable difference in video stabilization?
Can you also compare s24 ultra and pixel 8 pro thank you. Both of them have similar AI features
I don't have those devices
I had the pixel 8 i returned it. Because of the signals issues

I have the pixl pro 8 its just the photos are very dull ?
No its pretty good
Are the pictures blurry on the s24?
For value and cam: pixel.
For fast charging and gaming: s series.

Can i buy pixel for camera?
Why do you have a double tap to lock the screen on the Google Pixel 8?
I'm using Lawnchair Launcher

Yes
S24 has 4k 120fps and can record slow-motion 4k 120fps

Samsung galaxy S24 👍
Only the Pixel can install GrapheneOS. That's what decided it between these two phones for me.
