We are so blessed to be able to take them on this journey. Originally we were going to wait until the kids were out of school, but I'm glad we decided to homeschool and take them with us! 😊
@rumbarey thank you! We had a nice long stay in Sipalay, which really allowed us to soak it in and fall in love with the area, and it's wonderful people! ❤️ 😊
Wow i love that view that is one of a kind of paradise i have heard most restaurants in Philippines 🇵🇭 they don’t serve knife 🔪, because during the spanish era , they are afraid the Pilipino would use it against them, that is very romantic 💘 for both of you snacking sharing halohalo while watching the sunset 🌅 in sepalay island 🏝️ Philippines 🇵🇭 thanks for sharing
I think I see where they're coming from with the word "cottage". At some resorts they have these little bamboo houses called "bahay kubo" basically a mini house hut with a table and seating in it and would roughly translate to "cottage" in English. In other resorts, it really is a cottage - i.e. a proper little bamboo house that's like a hotel room inside. When you finally revealed your little cottage for the day, I too was blown away 🤣 even for me ( a local ) it was beyond my imagination - like something out of The Far Side comic 🤣
@mozillaproxima4941 We were thinking it was not a bad price for a cottage until we saw it was just a table with a small umbrella. We were required to get a "cottage" to be able to get food then you need to pay extra to get food delivered to the " cottage " from the restaurant which was at the bottom of the stairs. Also we were only allowed to stay until 5:00 pm unless we got a room for the night so we couldn't stay to watch the sunset which was our intention. We also almost got kicked out because the kids were jumping into the pool. There were lots of weird rules and fees, but the view was amazing! 😊
@@WorldFamilyExplorers I'd be kinda ticked off too. It usually has to do with the owner of the place. Couldn't really blame the staff. Pity, as it is quite a nice little place off the beaten path. Oh well! Can't win 'em all! Look forward to your next video. Sipalay looks like a quaint little town!
Hi World Family Explorers, Sipalay is my hometown but i lived in canada now, thank you for making me feel like im home through all your episode from sipalay i hope u guys will come back to sipalay again and explore more about my hometown you miss some falls and kinda like lagoon but by the way thank you God Bless You Guys Always.
I think Negros Occidental is so underrated in Visayas part.. I think they are overshadowed by the popularity of Cebu and Bohol.. I'm not from Visayas part but I'm happy seeing this nice places in Visayas and foreigners enjoying this places
We love going to the less traveled areas. A lot of Filipino locals to the Island come here for vacations or a weekend getaways so it feels more authentic here than more busy tourists places. We also went to Bohol and enjoyed it as well but there is something different and special about Sipalay.. ❤️ 😊
Thank you for your appreciation of one of the city where my home province is! There is more to the island and hope you can see more. There are also some floating cottage-boat in Cauayan just a town next and an island danjugan where marine reserves are.
Not sure if i told you, but if you get a chance at 5AM early in the morning or so , ask the locals and just get some fresh baked pandesal (filipino sweet bread)! Have that with butter spread and Eden cheese on the side and your cup of coffee and you'll thank me ! Oh btw we like to dip our bread in our coffee . ..🤣
Always bargain in PH. The first price they will give you is the not the base price as they know you will bargain. They do that even to locals. It happen anywhere in the world.
Since we were in a remote area with no car, we just went with the flow and didn't want to ruffle any feathers on prices. It was still a good deal, but we are getting spoiled with the much lower prices in the Philippines compared to the crazy high prices in the USA right now! ❤️ 😊 🇵🇭
What happen, no karaoke singing today, lol 😄. ok keep it coming guys. yeah that resort is not a good place to recommend place to go to. some sketchy additional charges that does not make sense and bad fries for 200 pesos. the halo halo is way better for 99 pesos.🙃😑😑
There is karaoke every night possible, but we don't always record it...😆 That resort is nice for the view and the pool, but that is all. Sad the day pass doesn't allow you to stay after 5:00pm which was sad because we planned on staying for the sunset but you need to get a room for the night if you want to stay later. Halo Halo is always refreshing, and watching the sunset at the Sipalay City beachfront was free and 😍 😋
it is the norm of most local resorts to charge for "cottages" for you to put your things. and yeah we have been calling those tables with a roof as cottages since. but i guess its because the earlier ones are actually bamboo huts and kinda look like cottages😅
I guess we pictured a cottage to be a small little house like it is in the USA. If it had a bigger roof / umbrella to shad us from the sun, we would have been happy, but it didn't even have that. It was still worthwhile to enjoy the pool and the amazing view! ❤️ 😊

Thanks for the explanation! Our apologies, us silly Americans pronouncing it how it's spelled. Nobody told us until we had already recorded our videos. Sorry if we offended anyone..take care ❤️ 😊
The resort you went to sucks. Too many hidden and additional fees for EVERYTHING (and the things payed for such as the "cottage" is a scam) plus, the staff isn't even friendly. It's a NO GO zone
We agree it wasn't great... We didn't like the food very much, the staff was not so friendly and the extra fees didn't make sense. It was an amazing view up there, which was the only saving grace...
@DianaTuTu29 yes they have rooms to spend the night there if you want. You need to pay for a room if you want to stay past 5:00 and enjoy the sunset which we were sad about because we were planning to stay fir the sunset from that nice elevated view!
