Don’t underestimate the ability of the average diy person. I did all of my own and my contractor that I hired for my trusses asked me who I subbed my drywall work from, he wanted their number. He was stunned when I said I did it myself. I saved thousands. I got free louvered doors from Craigslist. I also scored the cabinets and bathroom vanity. A 1980s mobile home was being scrapped out. It’s amazing what chalk paint and Amazon hardware can do to old cabinets . I got the 200 amp breaker box for $25. Also the propane/ gas furnace was available for $100.00 and the blower motor was only a year old. Y’all ought to help save the planet by up cycling everything, not just the container. Imagine the horror of solid oak cabinets going into a landfill!😱

So many people say that container homes are a scam. I dont believe this at all. This guys makes them right and lays out costs. Built right, container homes are strong, mobile, attractive, and last a lifetime. What else can you build for the price. And remember, the container is only the "shell" , really have to frame out with metal and wood to be structurally sound.

Hi Stuart, thank you for your video, 40ft Shipping Container Home | 2022 TOTAL COST Breakdown.
We have a total of 420 zoned lots averaging 3,200 sq ft. which we are selling in Alberta, Canada. The infrastructure for Phase 1 has been completed for 150 fully serviced lots (water, sewer and power.) Plus many resort style amenities. Traditionally, RV owners would be the ones buying the titled lots but container homes are now competitively priced with park & destination trailers. Living in the suburbs of Calgary when not on site, I can say that the price increases for the container homes (320 sq ft) are an advantage over the infill homes (1,800+ sq ft) here priced at $750k. Thank you for sharing your pricing details.

@@originalghostu2 Well, it's actually true sometimes. You need special equipment to install a mini-split properly or it won't work and you'll need to hire the professional to get it fixed and pay maybe double then. Not everyone knows a HVAC professional. So YMMV but that can be asking for trouble if not done right the first time... While there's also the fact, depending on your state and local rules, that some jobs may be required by law to be done by a licensed professional. So, again, YMMV... Along with the shortages of people in the trades, having someone you know who is in them and in the specific trade you need may be harder for some than others, and it doesn't automatically mean knowing somebody will get you a better deal either or that they won't be so busy that they can spare time to help you...
So a lot of if's and maybe's, which can make it quite harder than you're suggesting. Great if someone can pull it off but that is hardly a guarantee, especially in this economy...

@@ContainingLuxury Trump literally printed the money that started this. That other feller just added to the pile. I bet you were a recipient of that money too which makes the lack of self-awareness all the more hilarious.
Anyways 2019 was just another myriad of longstanding bubbles like all our supply-side miracles every 10-12 or so years. COVID was just what made them all go pop! As always the losses will be socialized and the gains will be privatized, while the rich will send their sitting money overseas while our tax dollars bail 'em out again! What money they do have and what they steal from the taxpayer here will add so much value to the economy by manipulating the stock market! Wooo! So much fun! Let's go indeed!
Don't worry I'm pretty sure tax cuts, and deregulation will work this time for sure! Have you considered investing in crypto?
