I was hanging out with the french community, which were full of amazing guys ! I even played a lot of rounds with FractalShot (The creator of Oil Rig) and Spyders (you may know him from the M4A1 CQBR Golden, I don't remember the exact name of said gun). Spyders especially was a good friend of mine before we split after time had passed and we moved on to other games. It's seriously heartbreaking for me to see that the game had turned out this way. I was full of hope when Valofe took the game, as I expected them to turn the P2W CA into the OG One we all know and love. Geez, just telling that bring the nostalgia for all those freaking good times I had with the game. Let's get one thing straight though : We all hated the H&K416 CQB for how OP it was, but we all got it perm XD
Before watching the video, i'll tell you as a CA player for 8 years, why i left this game: 1- The most toxic commumity i have ever played with online. Always threatening you for your kills. Even a multi/ultra kill was enough to get you kicked of a match. 2- Speaking of getting kicked, the Elite moderators.... It only took one kill, ONE! and you got instantly kicked because the elite didnt like it. 3- Pay to win. The last time i played this game, i was the only one in the match, without an epic/legendary weapon. I just dont have the patience to play on a lobby full of M416 CQB barons, Orthus, AR15s.... 4- I had medkit for permanent.... they removed it.... then they added back as a one shot medkit, but you had to pay again. That's it. I loved this game, specially for my clan. This was a really good game from 2008-2013. After that time period, im sorry but i cant stand it anymore for the reasons i mentioned above. I loved my time back in the days
You are so correct brother..I played that game 9 years straight..I had a 3rd position character in Greece..I loved that game...but first of all hackers fucked that game..then when I made many kills they kicked me..I couldn't play..also for a long time there was only oil rig rooms..it was a good game for the first 5-6 years
The fact that despite a billion issues with the game there is still an active community comes to prove how great this game was.... I never had more fun, not even close, in any other FPS. Unfortunately P2W and developers neglection killed the most complete and fun free to play fps of all time
I would've loved to had the chance to play reborn. I played CA during its peak and it was the most fun I've ever had playing a video game. So many good memories. Unfortunately, the ridiculous spec items and hackers led the game to its demise . Damn shame the owners don't seem to really care about the game and only care about making money.
Also being falsely banned because somebody uploaded a photoshopped picture of me "flying" and then every 3-6 months i get banned again over and over how ever many accounts i made (i guess same ip)
I still play the classic version but it’s sad so many people stopped playing this game….. started when I was 11 now I’m 22 years old. Never got the chance to add all the friends I made growing up. My ign was skullhead128 and currently it’s the same just ends on 127
I started "quitting game" after they added snake set. It was around 2014, then i played less and less and transitionet to csgo. It was too much for me I could handle 25 recons and 28 mutagens on qr. But sets were just too much. Game just went full money zone. It was soo much fun when i played (2009 - 2013), i had great memories, met a lot of people (some of them are my real life friends to this day), i will never forget a feeling of waking up in christmas and hoping on CA for 2 or 3 fast games before rest of the day (it was my ritual idk but i always played Elimination on roadkill on 24th of december). It my sound weird but these were the best years of my life (even tho its not that bad right now) and everytime i think of some memories with CA i get great feeling inside. I lost hope with CA:R shutdown. RIP CA. :(
Man I miss these days when i get recon vest for 7 days and try to freerun in qr. Today as you said almost every one got 27+ speed and unlimited zombie health making qr unplayable… Good job making this video keep it up 👍.
we played this during LAN parties and i loved it. Saving up 80k GP to get the permanent from the event, and buying permanents for friends birthdays. Spending way to much on kalika cases. Only being able to play sniper on kill creek because potatPC gave 3 fps. Absolutely lovely game it was!
ty for the shoutout, I think the thing that really started killing CA was the whole lifetaking scenario where it took nexon 6 months to a year just to patch it. after that it slowly just started becoming worse. the community became so toxic. everyone thought everyone was hacking. it became mega p2w I even called the entire thing when nexon released the "SOPMOD" for perm for a limited time. that after a couple weeks to a month they would nerd the gun into the ground....what happened weeks went by and after pretty much the entire community bought the most OP gun in the game at the time they nerfed it into existence. I just don't think people understand how old and broken the game is. and that unfortunately it will never have even 1/4 of the player base it once had no matter how much money you throw at the game to improve it and market it
Man this one hurts me deep. Combat Arms was arguably my first big adventure into online gaming, competitive gaming, and just so much more. I came here because I found out this new game called The First Descendent is made by Nexon and I couldn’t help but come check and see how combat arms is doing in the modern day. Apparently not good. I mean this game was so dang good and honestly the hackers weren’t that big of a deal because you could just get moderator for weeks on end and ban people from joining your games back. Man. I’m rambling on but part of my childhood just died inside of me knowing combat arms fell off
Same bro I played this shit 14 years ago lol it hurts that something I put so much time into is long gone and a niche community now. There was a time where combat arms was one of the most popular online free to play games
My favorite recent addition to the game is a set of pay to win armor that has like 20-30% hit prevention, So you can literally pay to not get hit in this shooter game. And the hacker era was caused by Nexon trying to sue cheat devs. It was so bad. You could make everyone's game crash to desktop by copy/pasting a bunch of symbols in the chat and by other means, and the game would also crash to desktop when you vote-kicked said hackers out of matches. There were cheats to get the infected hands "weapon" and they would instantly rack up thousands of kills, ruining everyone's KDR. There was so many of them that you could only play the game normally in private lobbies, otherwise if there was only 1 spot open in your lobby, it was almost 100% assured that a hacker would join and crash all 15 other player's games. And It took close to a year for Nexon to get a new anti-cheat up and running. By the time they got their fingers out of their cracks the game was nearly abandoned. And all of this was only like a year after the release of the Quarantine game mode where every SINGLE server and channel was full for days until they got new servers online. This also caused massive paranoia where every single low-rank players would get kicked out of every single game because new accounts made up the majority of cheaters. During all of this, they still hadn't updated the game to run correctly on Windows 7 yet. So everything was already buggy and very unstable (many random crashes 25 minutes into a cabin fever run ftw) if you were using it. What a shame. No one makes cool online shooters like CA anymore. It's all hero shooters and Call of Duty clones.
I used to play this game a lot. First fps I fell in love with. From the " multi-kill, uktrakill, unbelievable, unbelievable " or the "nutshot" to the zombies mode, to that one mode that was kinda like a story mode but with other players, the cod zombies mode. Now I went to try and download the game again and it doesn't even load. Sad to see such a great game die like this
I played combat arms like 10 years ago for 3 years. It was my first online shooter and I made it to COL 5. Recently I had dreams of me sniping people with the arctic wolf (totally random lol) so I looked up in what state it is today and it it makes me sad. Thanks for educating me about the history of the game. Nice video tho.
This was my first FPS PC game, i started back in 2009 and ive been through every event this game has had. The hackers were so bad the majority of us started creating private lobbies and this went on for almost 3 years before the hackers started to get banned.
Combat Arms always was quite full of hackers and glitches but I loved it regardless. It had this arcade style graphic look to it. A massive load of guns and getting guns from a case or buying them was fun. As well as the way of playing. Shooting felt pretty solid too. Nowadays it's a cosmetic mess and while it was a fast-paced game nowadays people bunnyhop run 'n gun all through the game. Literally get turrets, a kriss vector double and pump your speed up to max and you're good to go.
Just returned to try the game (ca classic) after 7+ years of not playing - i must be honest that the qr community is at its lowest point, but it just makes a nostalgic feeling playing it. I hope that the developers somehow listens to the community, and might actually do something good for the QR community.
Pay to Win is honestly what killed this. Because it wasn't just lunch money to get a new item, it was a loan to rent an item. It was the most absurd thing back then and it's still utterly ridiculous.
i remember playing this game with my cousin all the time when i was 8-10, great memories. unfortunately we don't talk anymore but i'd love to bring up those memories with him tbh
I have to agree with some people here. I don't think that p2w or hackers really killed the game. I was experiencing these things and never really thought about quitting (and I wasn't p2w myself, I was poor lol). Not saying that nobody quit because of these things, but I don't think that these were the main things. But what did make me quit, was CA Reloaded. I tried it for a few days and decided it's not the same game anymore and quit. I quit until a long time after Valofe has taken over only to find out that my account is gone... Created a new account and played for a bit, but eventually stopped again and never returned.
Greetings from the Dominican Republic, Combat arms was the most played game in my country from 2009 to 2013 approximately we all ran out of school to play CA, my name in the game was samia1000 and lXlSamuelXl, I've been playing since 2009 and not really anymore I am very active, the game began to fail since there was an imbalance with the protection percentage in terms of clothing, for example if you bought the swat set you had practically 100% more protection than the one that did not have that set and it caused an imbalance exaggerated
Combat Arms Reloaded was such a joke. They said that they're rebalancing the game and they actually made it worse💀 in CA classic at least you had downsides with the most op vest for example (Recon Vest giving you +15% speed but you take 10% more damage from all sources). So far so good, it was still pay to win but not unbalanced per se then Reloaded came around the corner and released the Swat vest or whatever it was called. Giving you + speed as well as making you the tankiest person in the entire game (casually taking shots to the chest from bolt action sniper rifles...whoever thought of that should NEVER get employed again) Valofe literally did a worse job at maintaining a game than Nexon, and that speaks for itself
I loved combat arms but left it for csgo. The only thing I really miss was the quarantine mode because it was so special in comparison to other zombie games. Freerunning was so much fun.
ye same but i like more ca than cs for fun wise, the feeling of free running on qr and the feeling of hearing unbelievable is not comparable to other fps, like hitting a trick shot on mw2/bo1
@@ImTheRonzyunbelievable is what made combat arms so great in my opinion the way they made their kill streaks made you want to play the game just bc of that
I left the combat arms was because of updated. They removed all the special category and many others. Without special, we won’t survived in cabin fever fireteam. I believed that updated just ruined the game. When it was introduced the Reload on Steam. I wonder that it still connect to my old Nexon account. When I get in and found out that I lost my valuable account. There still missing contents in reload.
For what I've experienced, my biggest gripe about Reloaded are the lack of bug fixes, and constant neglect with the lack of transparency of what they do. What I mean is that they change a lot of things that aren't mentioned in the patch notes and then I have to confirm some of them over weeks or months at a time just to make sure of it. Reloaded has all these really neat features and ways to earn free goodies but some of it is bugged, especially the ammo. Then a lot of the potential of the game gets wasted such as Quarantine (with infected enhancements, cosmetics, abilities, and etc.) we even had a thread in the CA discord (in the Agent Z thread) expressing our concerns for the mode in Reloaded while nothing happened for two months, and onward at the time of this comment.
I left this game because my second account was permanently banned even though I was playing fair. My first account was banned for leaving and joining a game, which is not allowed according to the rules. My second account was banned because I had an invalid knife kill result percentage, or something similar. I spend like 2000 euro on this game.
I came after 5 years, I don’t have the skills I used to have which I think it’s normal, I’m still getting used to it, but, making a positive score seems to be so difficult nowadays, I don’t like playing the new way, I’m old school, there’s some things that just ruin my experience, super speed as you said, people tanking headshots, people tanking every sniper shot, op weapons that I refuse to use, mines of all kind and turrets everywhere, bullets that I still haven’t figured out what they do but I guess it gives your weapon much more damage, or better aim. I can’t rush, I can’t camp, I hit most of the shots and even give headshots and the other players just don’t die, they’re too op… There’s just so many things that changed for the worse…
The demise of the game started when the first two specialists were introduced (along with the rampant hacking at the time) Scorpion and Viper iirc, Viper had a thinner slender hitbox along with smaller head, coupled with an astonishing movespeed with no downsides, imo the first blatant example of P2W in the game.
I've played this game from 2008-2016 on and off throughout the years. I really miss that era but I'm glad I got to experience it...imo the pay to win, legendaries, elite mod, and other outrageous stuff in the store brought the game down hill. It all started with a simple classic FUN shooter game, then as time passed the fun got diluted. I'll never forget the simplicity which made this game top tier
Because they deleted all my items that took me hundreds of hours to earn (I did the transfer form but they didn’t do it.) The healing items were also exclusive to the cash shop. (And there was a lot of pay to win issues)
Thank you so much for this video! I'm the causal old school CA WOGL player. Played it for the clan wars, competitive SnD and Eli Pro. couldn't find a better way to describe nexon than a dictatorship, and can't find a way to describe my disappointment in the account transferring method. I quit to league of legends at some point before the game was sold to valofe and when I wanted to take a quick look back to see what's become of the game there was no trace of my account. Really pathetic and disappointing. how greed ruins great games.
I remember the day Cabin Fever (The Player vs Ai Zombies) came out, ALL SERVERS WERE PACKED and it was awesome! it was the most popular I've every seen the game get!
Former experienced combat arms player here. The reasons are pretty simple. The game per se already had various issues (connection, hackers, pay-to-win abusers like Elite Moderators, ecc). Over the years, as new FPS appeared, this one failed to keep up, update and improving itself, leading to a slow, but certain death. It's a pity because the core idea is valid, the game modes were for me entertaining, and having access to so many weapons with a fair mechanics (earn credits to rent a weapon) was very good. It's a pity the developers weren't capable of fixing it and adequate it to the modern times.
I love Combat Arms dearly and I'm legit devastated that it isn't still going strong. The pure attention to the maps and game modes and love it had at the height of the popularity, back when it was still very played and I was very active, it has me sad. If the game was ever popular again, I'd be so happy to hop on..
I would just like to say I have been playing CA for the past week and Valofe made the game even more pay to win it is ridiculous and not fun anymore. Every game I play there is characters in bikinis running circles around the maps with claymores, and turrents. They are also insanely tanky and use medkits to heal themselves -_-. It is ridiculous and pathetic.
I no-lifed CA in 2009-10 and ultimately couldn't take anymore of the rage kicks. I had spent most of my time playing CS:Source competitively and would occasionally go on hiatus to CA because the average player skill level there was a lot lower, so I didn't have to think so much while playing it (I ultimately quit CS after 6 years because the competitive scene became too stressful). That was a double edged sword though, because my overall account KDR in Combat Arms was around 2.1 and I'd get rage kicked from servers immediately just because of that. Elite mods were the bane of my existence. I had to nerf myself by using inferior weapons, like the basic pump shotty instead of the super OP shotty (i forget the name) that could only be bought with real money. But then I'd get rage kicked because "there's no way this guy should be getting that many frags with such a bad gun!"... Uggh. The game was chaulk full of people who would would scream and cry "hacks!!!!" at anyone, and I mean *anyone* who would kill them. I'd join a server, kill 1 person, and they'd hackusate me in all-chat, even if it was a clean kill that took no skill. Then if the next person I killed was an elite mod they'd rage kick me because they'd just seen someone in all-chat say I was hacking. It was a garbage community of man-children and literal children. I'm glad CA is dead. I'd dance on it's grave if I could. I regret the hundreds and hundreds of hours I wasted in it. So much potential, ruined by Nexon giving so much power to a huge community of bad players. The actual hacking was really bad, but I remember that game more for how much worse the rage kicking was. And I almost forgot: from my experience in CS I had a lot of skill spotting low-key hackers using less obvious cheats (like low FOV aimbot and wallhack toggle), and I can't tell you how many times an actual hacker in a CA server went unnoticed while I was the one getting kicked! Beyond frustrating!
I quit for about a year but I remember when I tried to come back I couldn’t access any of my old accounts because nexon wasn’t in charge anymore, I’m sure that’s why a lot of other players quit as well
I'm pretty sure I played less Combat Arms than anyone here but I'll still opine in case it's worth anything. The reasons I left were because: - Sooo many hackers. When I left, it was an infestation - Abusive moderators. Some moderators abused their power while behaving like 5 year olds - Lack of support. Company didn't give a rat's ass about the game nor community - Perhaps because of the above 2, the community became super toxic - P2W made it hard for new players to join while also pushed regulars away unless they were rich af - Bugs that just didn't get fixed and ruined the general experience - I'm sure there are other reasons but these are just the ones off the top of my head
used to stop playing when combat arms decided to perma ban everyone in our clan, when they entered their Paysafe codes for 50euro fill up, literally, we all got banned upon entering the code, we got from a legit gas station through an official paysafe system... they had a forum with everyone banned, including proof of ban on every ban they had, except for us and a couple other people, no logs, no vids, no pics nothing ..
Hello! CA:R staff here! Combat arms reborn was a fantastic game while it lasted, and unfortunately Valofe hates not making money, we lost everything and the Discord got nuked. Hopefully in the future we can bring this style of game back!
@@silentescape818xsfvla8 Completely agree with you. Hopefully we can find a work around for Reborn in some form or fashion. Been trying to connect with Radeon and the team.
This game was a big part of my childhood. I remember in 7th grade I started playing it. Our computer had all types of viruses so I never got to play right because I used to get insane lag. When I got a little older and was able to finally afford a better computer and I was able to download the game, the game was pretty much dead by then. Then the new one came out and I lost all my weapons I had on my old one. I spend hundreds of dollars on that game, but I don't regret it one bit lol. Best time of my life I miss those days.
nexon used to do long maintenances that would extend and I would be playing league instead while waiting. I think combat arms has the best maps out of any shooters I've ever played. Junk flea, deathroom, cold seed, kill creek, overdose, waverider, two towers, snow valley, literaly all perfect
I had a great time playing CA and quit playing because of the hacks. I joined several clans, made some friends I still keep in contact with ten years later, and I actually learned tactics that made me better in other FPS games.
@stifftheninja I use to play CA when Greatfulded and Kellerman were huge! Do you know the creator or team that made CA? I remember you saying the team were looking for funds. This was last year, so i don't recal but they were looking for 400k I believe. I have an idea how to make it happen! I hope to hear from you. I'm on OG player, I think i still have all the Nexon Cards.
You’re probably thinking of kill spree. The guy developing it is named wunzero, if you look up kill spree on steam you can see the demo version of the game
Does anybody remember when someone with the username Greatfulldead was the first one to hit GOA. He would just play cabin fever all day. I heard he was a dentist lol
Woah I did not expect this good of an explanation. My reason for quitting was the EU server added into NA CA. Always had a 1-2 bars of connection after that on North America server. My shots lagged which would cause me to die. And the fact that no one else plays + over powered speed gear which indeed looks like speed hacks. At least we all remember the excitement.
i remember playing this game when i was 8 years old, im almost 22 now. i absolutely loved the zombie modes. the game had so many hackers but it was so fun as a little kid haha i reinstalled it a few years back and man its so awful. if i remember correctly, its just team deathmatch on miserable maps, and more hackers than ever i remember it started becoming very pay to win
This game makes me so sad :( it was myy first foray into online gaming, and fps as a genre, and I absolutely adored it and the friends I made playing. Zombies was fun, and even though there were hackers you could usually find a match without them. But man, the egregious p2w was wild, and the moment special agents got added in was essentially the end for me.
I still can't believe I haven't played this game in 7 years. It kinda hurts to see what it was becoming. This was the 1st game I played on pc when my dad bought me a shitty little dell inspiron laptop. The lag was horrendous. But I did well for what I had. I really miss the old days though man.
I quit in 2017, I tried the reloaded version but as you said I found it very hard to navigate and it took away a lot of the core mechanics that IMO, made the game what it was. I haven't touched it since as I have good memories from its prime time in 2014-2015 and want those memories to remain untouched.
I used to play the game when I was a teenager and I loved the game. I especially loved "arctic" sniper rifle. The sniping in the game was so damn satisfying and exciting af. I also remember spending some cash on the game and obteining the "special female operator" with the points. I remember playing some zombie-horde mode when you and 4 of your teammates defend yourself in an abandonned house against horde of zombies comming from all directions. I also remember that some of the operator's special weapon or abilities were extremely strong against the horde compared to a regular character. This was one of my most played games when I was a teenager. I remember also just the fact that the game changed with the reloaded version some migration and shit and I remember at that point I stopped playing because I hated something about it and I was pissed about the fact that the game went through drastic changes. Still, this game holds a special place in my heart and also the memories.
community was abandoned by the games developers 😔

Damn shame the owners don't seem to really care about the game and only care about making money.
remember the nutshots in combat arms? 😂 loved that
Also being falsely banned because somebody uploaded a photoshopped picture of me "flying" and then every 3-6 months i get banned again over and over how ever many accounts i made (i guess same ip)
I still play the classic version but it’s sad so many people stopped playing this game….. started when I was 11 now I’m 22 years old. Never got the chance to add all the friends I made growing up. My ign was skullhead128 and currently it’s the same just ends on 127
I stopped because I got banned twice for seemingly no reason after spending $100 in game which was a ton for 11 year old me.
RIP CA. :(
please post this documentary kinda styled video more. i love these!!
Man I miss these days when i get recon vest for 7 days and try to freerun in qr.
Today as you said almost every one got 27+ speed and unlimited zombie health making qr unplayable…
Good job making this video keep it up 👍.
No matter where you guys are now in life,
Remember that you are all legends.
Thanks I am rich now
we played this during LAN parties and i loved it. Saving up 80k GP to get the permanent from the event, and buying permanents for friends birthdays. Spending way to much on kalika cases. Only being able to play sniper on kill creek because potatPC gave 3 fps.
Absolutely lovely game it was!
Good video, blast from the past
ty for the shoutout, I think the thing that really started killing CA was the whole lifetaking scenario where it took nexon 6 months to a year just to patch it. after that it slowly just started becoming worse. the community became so toxic. everyone thought everyone was hacking. it became mega p2w I even called the entire thing when nexon released the "SOPMOD" for perm for a limited time. that after a couple weeks to a month they would nerd the gun into the ground....what happened weeks went by and after pretty much the entire community bought the most OP gun in the game at the time they nerfed it into existence.
There was a time where combat arms was one of the most popular online free to play games
i spend few years of my life playing this, sad its gone
My favorite recent addition to the game is a set of pay to win armor that has like 20-30% hit prevention,
So you can literally pay to not get hit in this shooter game.
Reminds me of All Points Bulletin, the game was sold to like 3 different companies and yet none of them even attempted to improve it.
I miss combat arms so much I really wished they cared about feedback
man this game was my literal childhood (played it every single day)
Rip Uncommon Valor, loved that clan. Lots of great memories during the early days
I miss the days when i'd get home from school to play this 2010 through 2015-ish untill it was time to go to bed and repeat the cycle
Combat Arms Reloaded was such a joke. They said that they're rebalancing the game and they actually made it worse💀
in CA classic at least you had downsides with the most op vest for example (Recon Vest giving you +15% speed but you take 10% more damage from all sources). So far so good, it was still pay to win but not unbalanced per se
then Reloaded came around the corner and released the Swat vest or whatever it was called. Giving you + speed as well as making you the tankiest person in the entire game (casually taking shots to the chest from bolt action sniper rifles...whoever thought of that should NEVER get employed again)
Valofe literally did a worse job at maintaining a game than Nexon, and that speaks for itself
Swear bro, i wish NA servers in classic were full like they used to be, remember not being able to even get into a server? good days dude
I have spoken to Combat Arms Veterans and I gotta say many have moved on after 2014... it was not worth saving your account.
The dude with the yellow mask brought me back hard
Combat arms classic still running 💪🏻
As a 2010 EU player, I this vid hits me in the feels. Excellent video, succinct and well worded!
I left this game because my second account was permanently banned even though I was playing fair. My first account was banned for leaving and joining a game, which is not allowed according to the rules. My second account was banned because I had an invalid knife kill result percentage, or something similar. I spend like 2000 euro on this game.
you die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain
I came after 5 years, I don’t have the skills I used to have which I think it’s normal, I’m still getting used to it, but, making a positive score seems to be so difficult nowadays, I don’t like playing the new way, I’m old school, there’s some things that just ruin my experience, super speed as you said, people tanking headshots, people tanking every sniper shot, op weapons that I refuse to use, mines of all kind and turrets everywhere, bullets that I still haven’t figured out what they do but I guess it gives your weapon much more damage, or better aim. I can’t rush, I can’t camp, I hit most of the shots and even give headshots and the other players just don’t die, they’re too op…
There’s just so many things that changed for the worse…
This game was my childhood
CA reloaded. Needed to migrate the account from nexon to valofe to keep perms and stats
6:03 make sure to what... ? :O
I remember having fun...
This game was so goated, but it also had soooo many hackers lol
Really miss the cw days when CA was flourishing i mean dont we all
Infected mode was so fun. Rip what could have been an amazing game
We didn't abandon it they abandoned us.
The game died because we all got our accounts fucking deleted.
It is ridiculous and pathetic.
played this game when it was released, back in 08 maybe 07, but it was a bright spot in gaming history for me, loved it like I loved gears of war.
...make sure to leave a like and comment, thanks for watching.
Beautiful video, thank you
I no-lifed CA in 2009-10 and ultimately couldn't take anymore of the rage kicks.
I remember being ragekicked from every lobby in the server, couldn't even play CS that day. Lol.
If ca stayed like this .. its a matter of time before every single player quit the game and end up closing it !!!
The reasons I left were because:
- Sooo many hackers. When I left, it was an infestation
- Abusive moderators. Some moderators abused their power while behaving like 5 year olds
- Lack of support. Company didn't give a rat's ass about the game nor community
- Perhaps because of the above 2, the community became super toxic
- P2W made it hard for new players to join while also pushed regulars away unless they were rich af
- Bugs that just didn't get fixed and ruined the general experience
- I'm sure there are other reasons but these are just the ones off the top of my head
used to stop playing when combat arms decided to perma ban everyone in our clan, when they entered their Paysafe codes for 50euro fill up, literally, we all got banned upon entering the code, we got from a legit gas station through an official paysafe system... they had a forum with everyone banned, including proof of ban on every ban they had, except for us and a couple other people, no logs, no vids, no pics nothing ..
This was my first military shooter game I played when I was 9-13 during the year of idk I think 2012-2013 it’s changed drastically quickly
Hello! CA:R staff here! Combat arms reborn was a fantastic game while it lasted, and unfortunately Valofe hates not making money, we lost everything and the Discord got nuked. Hopefully in the future we can bring this style of game back!
Nexon should have never sold the company. Valofe ruined the game reloaded sucks
I think I remember your name. Used to be a big freerunning community in the 2010s and you were one of the main players.
nexon used to do long maintenances that would extend and I would be playing league instead while waiting. I think combat arms has the best maps out of any shooters I've ever played. Junk flea, deathroom, cold seed, kill creek, overdose, waverider, two towers, snow valley, literaly all perfect
I had a great time playing CA and quit playing because of the hacks. I joined several clans, made some friends I still keep in contact with ten years later, and I actually learned tactics that made me better in other FPS games.
the guy int eh ad with dualies but a bloody face never got me
I always thought this game was better than counter strike in terms of gameplay and content.
Still remember how our conputer couldnt even run this badboy so i had to play at my friends house. Used to love the zombies on this game.
I miss playing quarantine. It was one of those game modes that deserved to be a standalone game
If only we knew just how often this would occur in the future with other titles.
Used to be my favorite games until the hacking was nonstop.
Even tho this game is dead i still revisit quarentine regen since its still the best gamemode ever
Abrupt ending for this video I must say, but yeah this was my childhood along with Dekaron, Cabal and Titan Quest
i remember playing this game when i was 8 years old, im almost 22 now. i absolutely loved the zombie modes. the game had so many hackers but it was so fun as a little kid haha
i reinstalled it a few years back and man its so awful. if i remember correctly, its just team deathmatch on miserable maps, and more hackers than ever
i remember it started becoming very pay to win
Also make a vid about black suqad in 2021 since it's also adandoned by the community cuz of the same developers
This game makes me so sad :(
it was myy first foray into online gaming, and fps as a genre, and I absolutely adored it and the friends I made playing.
This game, crossfire, & S4 League were my go too shooters when I was a kid 😭
'To cause such a downfall'
Nexon.
I love this video. It is art :)
I quit in 2017, I tried the reloaded version but as you said I found it very hard to navigate and it took away a lot of the core mechanics that IMO, made the game what it was. I haven't touched it since as I have good memories from its prime time in 2014-2015 and want those memories to remain untouched.
I loved the game when I was younger… will forever stay a memory I guess
I played for few years mainly in snow valley; Unfortunately it was just the constant hackers.
Hey, What if we talk with Radeon and see if he is abble to share the files of CA REBORN. I hooe that we can try again...
