That occurred to me too, if you wanna subdue and brainwash someone, you gotta erase their identity. Granted, I could see one approach being to shave their beard off, and then allowing them to re-grow it to symbolize a new identity, maybe force them to wear skaven icons in the beard or something, or allow beard-length in proportion to obedience.
The beards definately look too clean. (As do the faces, skin and clothes). But I'm pretty sure shaving their beards would either make them too angry to too depressed to actually do anything.
I not to recently played a modded ferrik campaign and the some of the dwarf slaves did indeed have no beards, so maybe the modmaker saw your comment :)
Honestly im fine with newly made units fitting the roster type itself here namely the Gunpowder, would be dope to see them fleshed as a new subfaction along with Volkn since both are unique styles of Skaven so far (More Volkn but still), swear Skaven are the most versatile race in warhammer fantasy.
I've never been that interested in playing the Skaven, but this has me really tempted! Granted, Rictus and Mors may need mods to flesh them out a bit, but Skryre, Eshin, and Pestilens are great (and they still have mods). With the Skaven undercity mechanic, loyalty, food, settlement leveling, underway access, offensive ambushing, unique lores of magic, slave/swarm armies, a very diverse unit roster and set of LL starting locations ... there is always something going on in a Skaven campaign ... not to mention the faction-specific stuff, like the workshop, contract system, and plagues.

Oddly enough I can't recruit any of the regiments of renown. They simply say "cannot recruit unit", with no level requirement shown to unlock them. Only a '?' at the top of the unit card.
At least I make mine to work in MP because that is best way to play campaign so I make sure they do, dont know about this mod but unless it has some crazy scripts it should probably work too. Mods that dont work in MP have it usually in description(and there is only few of them, I think Mixu LL lords for example, probably because of conditions when should lords be spawned).

@@angelic8632002 Well one of most important things is KMM (Kaedrin mod manager) without it mods are unstable and unpredictable, you can create modlist in it then export it to file and import it on another pc, that will help with issues like order of mods(also dont mess with load order manually unless you know what you are doing). Other than that most mods should work in MP unless author of mod says otherwise, also dont install too many of them as faction mods usually have some starting scripts and if there is too many of them they will overload each other. You can test it with my mod steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2007371077 it is faction mod and I tested it multiple times in MP campaign and it worked without issues.

Well the skaven DO also work on "anything you can do i can do better " logic. It goes with their character.

At least I make mine to work in MP because that is best way to play campaign so I make sure they do, dont know about this mod but unless it has some crazy scripts it should probably work too.
