Herman's Hermits: The Sesame Street music of the British Invasion

  • Herman's Hermits was a popular music group during the British Invasion. What makes them different from their counterparts is their style of music-- some call it corny, some call it simplistic. For me, I call it fun music that even kids would like to listen and sing to.
    Also this was my first experience with buying an album that was not fully disclosed as a re-recording. I'm fairly certain many consumers experienced similar issues at that time so I'm glad record labels tried to make an effort to disclose whether an album had the original songs by the original artists or not later on.

      It was never meant to be but-- don't think willie was used as a slang back in 1910 when this song was first created!
