A fish farm! Kyle, you must have been in heaven!
I was only planning to stay for a couple of hours, but I ended up staying for most of the day.
you got one here :)
Kyle - what is the address of this farm?
just contact Duy's facebook in description of this video.
I really loved this man's story and seeing his farm! You can bet these fish are getting the best care they possibly can. He's got it down - the trick is to do water changes (prevent ammonia spike, but tannins - which turns the water brown - are great to have for your betta). This would mitigate the need for a filter. And of course, in a country with a stable high temperature like Vietnam there is no need for heaters ;) (Also, when you keep the bottles this close to eachother, there is a buffering capacity that will stabilize water temperatures when there is a change in outside temperature).
But let's all also appreciate all the other efforts he does for their care: checking them manually day by day (himself!), protecting them when he is not near (covers), he knows every single fish and what happens to them, he provides bigger tanks for bigger fish and for breeding (going up to 5L for a betta that is at the right size to transfer, which is over 1 gal). I am truly amazed with his passion and care, and hope all of his dreams will come true.

DarkLemon these containers are temporary. all betta fish breeders have the same set up, give or take. especially larger betta fish breeders that can’t possibly have 2.5 gallon tanks for each and every one of their fry. these aren’t their permanent homes of course, as they will be sold. as you can see in the video, all betta fish were healthy, active, flaring, brightly colored, and undoubtedly living in WAY better conditions in countries such as the U.S., as you’ll see a lot of sick or already dead betta fish in cups in chain pet stores or LPS in general. The difference between housing a betta in a small container over in Vietnam (or countries around that part of Asia) and somewhere like the U.S., is drastically different. Like the original comment stated, it’s all about daily water changes. The breeder, as you can clearly tell, is very passionate about his betta fish and checks up on them while cleaning their containers daily. While other here in the states, most people are ignorant on how to care for betta fish. Of course, i ABSOLUTELY do not ever think small containers should be permanent homes for bettas. the breeder in this video is doing absolutely everything right and his hard work is shown as the betta fish are stunning.
but when an american has a betta in a small tank people verbally harrass them
No I think it just lives there cuz I’ve been to a farm like this before and I think it’s permanent
@@carolinethompson8261 Often witnessed that onf facebook. I sent them a photo of betta farms with bettas place in half a gallon container, they went silent.
Awesome video, Kyle.
Unlike other vloggers who just do videos about what food they eat in vietnam. You bring vietnamese culture and people to us. One of a kind.
I used to do food a lot too and will do food in the future. Food is a part of life. I'm just happier right now producing content about people and their passions. Will my passion change? Yes. There's no need to compare. Everyone has their own path, journey, passion, video interests.
Agreed
Ж one thing they eat is pho which is Noodle with soup
These fish are probably cared for better than the suppliers of pet shop bettas in the US and UK, they certainly look in better condition than the ones I've seen in pet shops. Remember this is a commercial animal breeding facility and not someone keeping a few betta fish as pets.
yea i went to there shop the fish are really healthy i bougth 1 galaxy nemo for 25$ it was a bit expensive but still he was really beautiful
@@smug2198 i think that price is standard for colorful bettas like those. Kois at petco or petsmart and other local shops usually sell for $20. The more common bettas like veil tails will be cheap, like $3 is what I had to pay for my boy blue veil tail.
no i meant not the regular koi ones i meant the koi ones that are suitable for competition
With that attitude and passion, he will always have a good business, great to see such positivity and commitment!
I remember seeing your vlogs a few years ago and I must say that the quality of your work has improved by a lot.

More documentarys please kyle! Great work
amazing man , i love fish and love this guy already :-) he is doing great job ,doing what you love so much is fantastic , keep going :-)
I love Bettas, and I love this farm! Nice to see he truly loves and cares for them.
I agree with his statement about not overly babying fish because it will disinhibit their ability to resiliency and immune system to minor fluctuations. Natural is the way to go!
It makes me wish I could travel to Vietnam, visit his farm and pick out gorgeous bettas to my hearts content. He is an inspiration.
Awesome bro....
Great video. Wonderful fish, but more excellent is the winning spirit of the young man operating the business. I wish him great success. He deserves it.

Oh wow, you made my day. I do have some these bettafish at home due I felt sorry for them afraid they live in tiny Cubs too long very uncomfortable for them at my friends store in America. They're very low maintenance, they can live temperature at low 55 degree F in few months winter in America here, amazing. They're very smart n have feelings like human too that give them credit for as just robots, no sad, love, hurt, happy, nor missing, grateful etc... they happy to see me in thought they just look for food, but when drop food, they didn't care n keep waving me then go back sleeping, rest due I tap container or check out see they ok at night n cold, then they waved at me then keep sleeping, very touching to show they appreciate care about them. Hope they keep in these tiny cubs in few months for raising n sell, not too long very uncomfortable for them.

Wow that’s cool and inspirational
Thank you for your video, and thank you for the guy who was had the same with me. When I was listening to your story about our childhood, there's something rolling inside of me. hopefully, the younger generation will learn more things like this instead of technology and social network. The money can't help you survive while nothing else out there you can buy!
I keep seeing his videos , just gets better and better , want to get in touch with him , but don't know how
good episode. you should do more wildlife in vn.
Hello, I would like to know If you have a website where I can order betta splendens? Thanks in advance.

Superb production man!
A great documentary :) it encourages me to work hard :)
May I know, what is the title of the song of antti luode, please...
Hi, i love your videos. How they give the food everyday? What food? Live or pellets? Thanks
greeting from west java, Indonesia, Kyle, tx for those good videos
Kyle please do more fish related documentaries like this you have 1 million views for a reason. There are a lot of fish hobbyist.
Thats a very G operation i like the set up great way to recycle too. And amazing looking bettas 🤘
4:09 is pretty stunning. Would like to see all the koi bettas
Loved the farm. And his story is so inspirational. I also like the point he makes about the use of filters and heaters. Everyone has a technique and style that works for them. i hate it when hobbyists or breeders try to say their care techniques are the only and right way.
I definitely agreed when he said giving the fish everything will cause more problems. I mean sure, it's good. Filters and heaters. You're giving the fish the "best" health possible but it won't be able to develop resistant against sickness.

I like the video and wish this breeder the best of luck. But I think his idea of making fish resistant to disease by not providing a good environment is just bs. In a tropical country, with a good, biologically stable water source, with fish that can breath air and are evolve to live in small, dirty ponds (like bettas), yes, you can get away with it. But even these bettas aren't immune to high ammonia concentrations, so if you have a bigger tank, and tap water, you better have a filter that provides stability.
he made it perfectly clear that the water needs to be clean
Like someone else mentioned he keeps the water clean. However he is right about the importance of building immunity. I was reading a website the other day with old school Guppy breeders talking about the problem of some breeders these days not building immunity in their fish resulting in fish that die the moment an illness sets in or if they survive are constantly medicated due to how fragile they are.
It's not just fish either. In my country there's concern about an increase in illnesses due to people doing the same with their children.
There's nothing wrong with wanting the best for your animal or child or whatever your looking after but keep in mind that having the environment too clean is the same as having an environment too dirty with different bad results.
It's best to have it clean enough that it's healthy but allow some exposure so they develop immunity. A fish with good immunity will handle better if an illness hits than a fish with no immunity.
Here is the my favorite farm. Boss is a friendly and brave spirit. He infused spirit into us.
Good job guys! Minh tin la cac ban se som thuc hien duoc uoc mo cua minh. (Gui toi nguoi quay video lan nguoi duoc quay.)
Good video, raised plakats all my life. For those who dont know, they breath air and they do best in medium size jars with frequent water changes my oldest betta died at 3 years outlived every other betta in a large fish tank. Irritating how people who have little to no experience in bettas are criticizing this guys passion. I can bet he knows the bloodline of bettas just by its appearance.
bet it would of lived longer if you put it in an actual tank
I had one in a 1 gallon for over 5 years, it CAN be done!
@@XWierdThingsHappenX Ive seen someone posting his 7yr old betta living in 1 gallon.
I had a turquoise half moon betta but it died after a year, and currently I have a red and blue crowntail on my community tank. The colors on him it's just amazing.
How big is tank? Does he like being in community tank?
I have a beta identical to first blue one shown, it was marked as a butterfly and with the premium betas at the store (orchids&butterflys) but the container said something different (rose something-but im almost positive those were the ones above him but they didnt have correct container with printed label on top). They only had 2 orchids and the supposed butterfly i got available in the premium betas that were not with the rest like half moons etc. I know the butterflys were the highest priced beta there but im still unsure what mine is but mine is a carbon copy of that first fish in the video if anyone could help me out on identifying the exact kind.
